When
we
arrived,
we
were
hesitant
to
check
in.
First
off,
the
name
at
the
lobby
of
the
hotel
says
"Brothers
Residence"
and
not
Asialoop
which
was
already
off
putting.
But
since
we
were
paying
about
$20
USD
total
for
two
nights
for
each
room
(we
got
2
separate
rooms),
we
decided
to
go
ahead
and
check
in.
Before
I
begin,
I
want
to
preface
my
review
by
saying
that
yes
this
is
a
value
stay.
I
understand
that
it
is
a
no-frills
stay.
Overall,
the
place
was
technically
livable.
When
we
got
in
our
rooms,
they
both
smelled
moldy.
I
understand
that
this
is
a
beach
city
so
it
basically
smells
like
someone
came
in
from
the
beach
with
wet
clothes
but
there's
no
ventilation
in
the
rooms
so
it
never
airs
out.
When
I
looked
at
the
sheets,
they
were
not
100%
clean.
It
also
smelled
like
someone
had
laid
in
the
bed
right
after
coming
in
from
the
beach
which
means
room
service
didn't
do
a
great
job.
Speaking
of
room
service,
each
morning
they
knocked
loud
and
came
right
in
around
10am.
I
would
yell
"mai
ow"
which
means
"I
don't
want"
yet
she
still
came
in
and
put
two
water
bottles
on
the
dresser.
This
is
all
while
I'm
laying
in
the
bed
still
trying
to
sleep.
So
rude
and
not
good
service.
The
next
morning,
I
kept
yelling
"Mai
ow"
and
when
she
opened
my
door,
I
said
it
so
sternly
that
she
just
quietly
closed
the
door
and
didn't
come
back
in.
There
was
NO
hot
water
heater
for
the
shower
so
the
water
was
cold
and
I
don't
mean
lukewarm.
I
mean
absolutely
COLD.
That
was
disappointing
and
uncomfortable.
Around
4am
on
Sunday
(16
July),
the
water
pressure
got
really
low
(used
the
toilet
in
the
middle
of
the
night).
When
I
finally
woke
up
around
10am,
the
water
was
completely
off.
I
phoned
the
front
desk
and
they
said
they
knew
about
it.
At
this
point,
I
was
totally
disgusted
so
I
just
washed
and
brushed
my
teeth
with
bottled
water
and
went
to
check
out.
Oh
-
the
walk
to
the
elevator
is
just
as
gross.
The
hallways
stink
and
there
was
a
mattress
just
sitting
in
the
middle
of
the
walkway
all
weekend.
Once
I
got
on
the
elevator
on
Sunday,
it
was
pitch
black.
Luckily,
I
only
went
down
two
floors
but
that's
ridiculous.
Upon
checking
out,
the
lady
at
the
front
desk
was
rude
and
short.
The
man
who
checked
us
in
was
kind
and
professional
but
the
lady
staff
member
on
the
morning
of
July
16
was
NOT.
I
waited
about
10
minutes
for
her
to
phone
housekeeping
and
have
them
check
my
room
before
she
could
return
my
2000
baht
deposit.
The
hotel
is
a
20
-
25
minutes
walk
to
the
beach
and
30+
minutes
walk
to
the
bars.
Oh,
I
also
never
checked
out
the
pool
but
my
friend
did
and
she
said
the
pool
itself
is
decent
but
the
chairs
and
pool
area
was
ridiculous.
I
didn't
even
feel
the
need
to
go
check
it.
I
also
recommend
getting
a
room
with
a
balcony
or
at
least
a
window.
Otherwise,
it's
even
more
depressing.
Overall,
I
wouldn't
stay
here
again
-
there
are
other
budget
hotels
in
the
area
that
would
probably
be
better.
