Gym
is
ok-ish.
Managed
three
half-decent
workouts
during
my
stay
in
Kamala,
but
if
this
wasn't
the
only
gym
in
the
vicinity
they
would
seriously
need
to
up
their
game.
The
website
is
awful,
and
the
link
to
the
'packages'
page
is
dead.
I
messaged/emailed
three
times
asking
a
bout
prices,
but
got
zero
response.
In
the
end
I
took
the
gamble
and
walked
there
to
see
for
myself.
Paid
790
baht
for
a
3-day
pass.
The
equipment
is
tired,
the
rubber
on
most
of
the
dumbbells
has
been
stripped
bare,
the
laminate
floor
is
completely
battered,
the
air-con
and
plethora
of
fans
do
little
to
cool
the
space,
and
it
is
generally
in
need
of
investment.
The
'no
slippers'
(flip-flops)
rule
is
not
enforced;
people
training
in
flip-flops
or
barefoot
is
unsafe,
unhygienic,
and
simply
a
bit
minging.
Weight
discs
left
all
over
the
place
too.
The
staff
behind
the
desk
at
least
were
friendly.
Unfortunately,
a
lot
of
the
people
using
the
gym
were
not;
there
was
a
lot
of
attitude,
and
a
serious
lack
of
gym
etiquette.
Probably
two-and-a-half
stars,
but
have
rounded
up
to
three.
