Everything was nice here the location of the room. We had been here for a shoot and I needed best room near fort kochi which will be easy to me. So it was exactly like how I thought. And it was pocket friendly too the cost was just 1500/- non AC. If you are looking rooms near fort kochi then this is best.

The host and staff and very warm. You would feel very welcome. The location can't get better than this. Rooms are simple. Good AC, hot water available. I really appreciate that they had a water dispenser at the entrance and you could fill your water bottle there, reducing need to buy single use water bottle everyday. The rooms have seen better days. Breakfast simple tasty and homely.

Never go by looking at the ratings. I have been asked to pay 200 more than, what was agreed over the call. As soon as you enter, you need to leave slippers at the entrance. Obviously, you need to be in barefoot even in the bathroom. Horrible room with full of dust. Please go for alternative options.

It was my first time in Kochi and we found this hotel online looking at the pictures and reviews. The ground floor room that we were about to finalise was decent enough for the price we saw online and the hotel's location seemed perfect. However, the owner acts sweetly until you book your stay online availing the discount. He has registered his hotel on the travel apps but denied us to stay when we told we are booking it online at the discounted price. Thereafter he was very rude and disrespectful. He should take the hotel registration down from the apps if he doesn't want the guests to avail the discounts. We left and had to search for a budget friendly property for a two night stay. Luckily, we did find one with the help of our auto driver, Mr Peter, who was very kind unlike the owner of this property.

The homestay is great. It located on the Princess Street, which is like the most popular street in FortKochi. We booked it online for Rs1100 per day for non-AC room. The room was big. It had two double bed, one big closet, fridge, electric kettle, study table-chair. Everything. The staff was nice and internet connection was good for multiple video calls on laptop. Highle recommended.

Very nice place to stay. It was very neat and it does not look like a hotel room, it looks like our house. The staffs treat us like their family members and i loved it so much. ๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—๐Ÿ’—. Smoking and drinking is strictly prohibited here. Best place for family stay.

Although you have to bear with some rules and regulations(no smoking,no carrying footwear to the room)this place is perfect for family visitors. The owner of this place is systematic in terms of cleanliness and hygiene. Rooms are quite decent and you get a complimentary breakfast too. Overall it was a good experience.

My wife and I stayed here for 7 nights over the course of our Indian vacation. The staff at Sonnetta Residency were *fantastic*, very welcoming, accommodating, helpful, and friendly. The rooms are decent and clean, the location is great, and the price is very reasonable. We both really enjoyed this place, so I'm writing this review now to recommend it. Enjoy!

A very comfortable and homely place to stay in Fort Cochin. Austin (the person in charge) was very friendly and the breakfast there was amazing and homemade. Itโ€™s a very nice place to stay even with families. Also this place is surrounded with shops and restaurants. The beach is also nearby. The room and the service was also awesome. Totally recommendable!

Too expensive. Water supply stops inbetween in bathroom. Rooms are not worth for the money.

Had a lovely stay. It felt like home and we really liked it. Rooms are cosy, clean and well maintained. Owners are very courteous and pleasant to talk to. The complimentary breakfast was very delicious. Every place to visit nearby is within walking distance. Would recommend this to everyone.

Its pocket friendly and family friendly. I stayed here with my family during my trip to Fort Kochi. We were given a room for 3. We felt safe during our stay. The one thing I loved most was this place felt like a home. The ambience was so cozy and they did have a small library downstairs. And its in the princess street. The view from the windows makes you feel as if you are living in some other country. And the beach is just a walk able distance away from the hotel. Loved our stay and would surely recommend this place to all the people who would like to stay in Fort Kochi.

The Sonnetta Residency , a Homestay in FortKochi, is an articulated structure with Portuguese and local architecture styles. The two storey Portuguese building that was built 500 years ago, had only two or three halls under a roof on walls that with 42 inches thickness. Windows: smaller than the normal size. It made the halls inside dark. Briefly, the style of structure signifies a barrack during Portuguese and Dutch periods. Nevertheless, the mystery of its history still exists an unexplored. A Jewish family had stayed in its upstair. On the ground floor, a ration shop had functioned. That is the bottom lines of it's history. 12 years ago, when Mr. Xavier, the owner of Sonnetta, acquired the structure, it was , really, in a ruining condition. The Alfa of antiquity's omega. Mr. Xavier acquired the property and spent huge amount to strengthen it with the consent and guidelines of Archeological Survey Of India. It helped to protect the building from collapsing. Now it has 5 bedroom with new windows and doors. The olden Portuguese barrack has become a nice Homestay. But, the corridors that leads to the new rooms, make a nice feeling of centuries old mystery. The rooms are clean. They provide all kind facilities including Wi-Fi, net services, safety locker system, laundry services and doctor on call. Rent reasonable with complimentary breakfast.
