The crispy cheese kottu is incredible! I wasn't even too hungry coming in but after the first bite, immediately I wanted more. The crunchy, cheesy, slight spiciness, and savory flavors all blended really well. The food was made quickly and with care. Even better that the price was also quite reasonable. Staff was courteous and attentive. Definitely check this place out after sightseeing and/or going to the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (it's just steps away from the temple gates). Although somewhat an ordinary place, the food and service won't disappoint.

If you want a change and need authentic Indian dishes at a reasonable price this is the place you should visit. They have the full variety of north Indian n south Indian food which you can choose from. Very famous among the people around and very easy to access. Delivery also available.

My Google Review # 000027. If you are looking for a sumptuous vegetarian meal after a tiring exploration of the Tooth Relic and the World Buddhist Museum, this is the place you need to go. I am an ardent fan of vegetarian food and after getting completely exhausted in the sight-seeing, I did not want to satisfy my hunger with junk food or cold-drinks. We walked a bit - say 300m from the temple and could sight this restaurant. The food options were good enough and so was the food and hospitality. The pricing was not much either. These is a fully vegetarian restaurant. The food is very delicious, clean restaurant and ample of seating area on ground and 1st floor. The waiter is a nice and friendly guy, exactly served for what I had ordered.. Highly recommendable Indian restaurant at Kandy town

Very tasty food! Many vegan and vegetarian options available! The Veg Kerala Kottu was the best we had so far! Staff was friendly and service was fast! Definitely recommend to go there if you are in Kandy!

I had a really nice meal at this place (vegetarian curry and rice). Good price (400 ruppes, but I paid 300 because it was a mistake in the menu) and good quality. The waiter kept serving me extra curries and asking me how it was the food. Highly recommended.

A variety of affordable and authentic vegetarian South Indian/Tamil food are available including some that are not on the menu such as a the ulundhu vada specials which you can ask about. Really liked the rocket dosa and the unique crispy Kerala kottu and the vada special which we had. Friendly and attentive staff including cashier adds to a nice time. Parking may be a bit difficult but located in a convenient place makes it accessible.

We arrive late in the evening too be welcomed for our order. We ordered two Masala Dosa's and Ulundu Vada, with two ginger teas. The Dosa's came with coconut chutney, samba and a third sauce which was nice and spicy, all three were very flavourful. The dosa was filled with a good serving of masala potato, enough to ensured each bite of dosa was flavoured. The tea was delicious, but ask for no sugar if you dont take it. Staff were nice and friendly, food was served quite quickly. Would recommend to all looking for a nice meal at a reasonable price.

After we visited the temple it was very rainy and looked for a place close by. Our guide recommended this place. First impressions might be ‘not for tourists’ but just go in and enjoy the dosa’s. They were really good! It’s not a fancy restaurant but we had a very nice meal. They even made a special typical Dutch dessert for us: pancakes with butter and sugar, from now on new on the menu :)

Good food great service . Special shoutout to mr Sudarshan for making sure we get the best food . Just a personal recommendation go for the sambar rice and dosa and avoid the cheese kottu.

We loved the food and the staff were so friendly. We ordered the special thali to split between 2 people. The owner told us it was too much food and he was right. Amazing value for money. All vegetarian .

I have been here twice, I didn’t review it the first time because I wanted to see if they were consistent. Guess what they are. The masala dosa was very tasty and so were the chutney’s. Paper Masala dosa isn’t on the menu but they made it for me anyway so great service. The sambar here is so good with many vegetables, you really get value for money.

Great place with impeccable service would highly recommend food is perfectly safe to eat. Their onion dosa was my favourite the portions are large so I suggest order light to start off this applies especially when having takeaway as their takeaway portions are very generous which makes them stand out in my opinion when it comes to Dosai restaurants here in Sri Lanka. Eating here is filling and kind to your wallet.

Extremely cheap yet quality tasty south Indian food. Menu is vegetarian and if you avoid the cheese items it's essentially vegan. They have a good variety of beverages too, the lassi being my favorite. I had the cheese massala dosa and it came with sambar and chutney. Also had a ulundu wada which was okay. The place is has a clean bathroom but no A/C so be prepared to sweat it out if you order a spicy dosa.

Excellent south indian food. We had the Cheese onion masala dosa - 650 rupees and 3 masala chai teas. Head upstairs to eat on the balcony. Very good server. Delicious food. Note: you can get a masala dosa for 350 rupees which is a bargin!

Delicious South Indian food specialising in Dosas. Godo vegetarian food. We ordered the cheese masala dosa; it was large and very tasty! Can't complain at all! All washed down with masala chais overlooking the street from the second floor. Great food, good service. I definitely recommend it!

Average dosa, nothing special, better vegetarian food available nearby for same cost. Sambar was a bit bland and dosa more soggy than crispy

Lovely Veg Chennai Kottu (string hoppers with Dhal Vada crumble and vegetables). Veg Kerala Kottu (paratha cooked in Sambar) was nicely flavored but I think I prefer the 2 separate rather than cooked together.

The place is quiet and calm. The service is good and the food are also good. We ordered a cheese onion masala dosai, which was awesome when eaten in hot. The uludu wade are also really good. However the nescafe they served were not good, about which we complained to them. It had zero taste or texture of nescafe. Don't know about the other beverages though.

I can highly recommend this place. It’s in the city center. We went there after the temple. We had plenty of local/Indian food, juice etc. it tastes delicious. Super cheap. Many locals are there. We asked for not spicy and it was still a bit spicy - but we are weak Europeans so I guess that’s normal haha. Restroom also there and you can wash your hands. Great place

Dosa is tasty and good customer service. But the sambaru provided not tasty enough. Should change the sambaru recipe. Vade is not tasty as expected. But still okay. One dosa is enough for one person. Washrooms are at 1st floor.

Very friendly staff that are happy to explain all the different types of dosa. The food was really nice, I recommend you try some dosa and then the samosa style small bites. I took off one star because the toilets were reaaaaally not clean with a lot of insects.

I came to have Dosai here. I ordered. They brought hallf cooked Dosai. I complained and they bought second time the same. However I paid all money and came.

Buy a dosa normal one and it cost 140/= it is not okay with the price you should need to eat more than one. But you can buy better and good amount of food with in that price range.
