Location, multiple pools is fantastic. That's about it. AC unit in the rooms is very loud, hard to sleep. Views said "mountain views" but it's a beautiful view of the parking lot. So you either hear the AC unit kick in every few minutes or listen to the cars on the street passing by. We had to do laundry, and low and behold no detergent in the laundry room. Was told by front desk to go to 7-11 down the street. Remind me again how much per night rate is and you don't have detergent for sale? Another time our little ones wanted hot chocolate, front desk had no idea if the restaurants had it. Again was instructed to drive to Starbucks. (Found out Lakeside restaurant can make it and it was delicious). Or any wineries you would recommend? Response umm Google it. We have been touring BC for a few weeks, this was our last stop. Was a bit disappointed by the overall experience. Our previous hotel stay was in a beautiful place, all the same amenities and a hot breakfast included for 1/3 of the price.

Pretty views. Hotel rooms are clean and have lots of room. We had a kitchen in ours. We were there about 5 years ago and not a lot has changed. It depends what you are looking for, if you like a lake and the activities it brings then it's a great location.

The location is beautiful. The rooms are fine, but we paid for a lakeside with hopes of enjoying a view and feel quite ripped off. Our room looks out at a tree and is not facing the lake unless we stand and look sideways from the balcony. There is also a vibration (they said probably from an air vent). It is so strong the couch and bed vibrate. No solutions were offered when we inquired.

Prime by the lake location. Service is always good there. Rooms and hotel may need some renovations but overall the hotel provides good value for all.

Nice views with boardwalk, cool seating arrangements with tables right by water or we chose the living room style eating from the sofas, a bit uncomfortable for those with children. The berry avocado salad hit the spot, wife’s mussels tasted amazing! Steak just ok, not a steakhouse so no big expectations. Only negative was fighting off the few wasps!

We had a WONDERFUL time with our 16 month old at the Manteo. The full kitchen in our room was incredibly useful with our toddler for easy meals and for mom and dad, the Maestro restaurant downstairs was top notch. Samir at the bar I’ll be bold and say is probably the best bartender I’ve ever had the pleasure of being served by. His knowledge of not only fine cocktails but of the area was very appreciated. We will definitely be staying at the Maestro— the rooms were also extremely and meticulously clean. Thanks Manteo! PS: we did do take out from the Lakeside restaurant and found the server on the phone a bit rude and the food wasn’t appealing at all— maybe it’s best enjoyed at their table. Regardless would highly recommend the Maestro over the Lakeside every time. Oh and the indoor pool was FREEZING— hopefully next time it’ll be a bit warmer :)

Went to have lunch and a few drinks on the patio on a nice sunny day. The outdoor space is lovely. It is right on the water but surrounded with flowers so it feels private with beautiful glimpses of the lake. There is lots of outdoor lounge seating and a couple of fire pits which makes it feel very comfortable and relaxing. The drinks are amazing. We had fresh oysters and tacos. The food was excellent. The service was very pleasant and checked in with us frequently. This was our first time visiting this patio since it became a new restaurant and overall we were very pleased with the menu, the service and the atmosphere.

Check-in was good and fast - amazing view - clean. The rooms could use some upgrades - the room's phone didn't work + internet is not very good. Portable speakers in the room (312) have really old (iPhone 4 & before) ports - no way to connect - technically just showpiece.

1 bedroom suite is very spacious, good size kitchen, pod coffee machine (what I dislike). I’m sad all the games tables are gone on the play room. It’s a boring room now. I miss the green apples basket at the front desk too, it was welcoming.

Everything about this place was awesome. We entered the hotel and the staff was so accommodating and friendly. We had just come off of a bad experience from a terrible hotel in town and they helped us get a lovely room for the night. A baby grand piano was playing when we got into the lobby and it was delightful. The room was absolutely spotless and the beds were comfortable. The little deck off the room was amazing. We had our morning coffee in the sunshine. We used the pool and the hot tub and we enjoyed that as well. We would recommend this place to anyone any time. Do yourself a favour and stay here when in Kelowna.

I loved it. I love the location and view of this place. I spent three days. I enjoyed my time. The only thing I didn’t liked it . I had a huge disappointment with the washrooms of the room. It was so small. It was pathetic. One and only disappointment I had through out my trip. Rest place itself is beautiful.

The staff everywhere are very professional and super friendly but a few issues 1) when emailing about cribs before our arrival we were told they had them. However at check in we were informed only play pens were available. Knowing earlier may have helped us plan with our toddler better. However staff did check us in earlier which was nice. 2) almost impossible to reach reception and house keeping by the phone and some of the requests would take forever or require us to call again. Housekeeping did a great job though! 3) one morning when we went to our rental car in the parking there was a drunk individual sleeping in our car which was scary. Couldn’t figure out how he got in as he didn’t break in and we re sure we locked the car. Thankfully it wasn’t a serious incident he left quickly but forgot his phone and keys in the car. We alerted reception and gave them those items but it didn’t seem like they knew what to do. I’d consider this a serious incident that involves safety and someone should have checked the cameras and alerted security as well as at least follow up with us. We even checked back in the afternoon about this and the afternoon staff were clueless that this incident even took place in the morning! Overall it feels like right staff is hired with super friendly service. However, it feels like management may not be experienced enough! Much training is lacking and it may just be a summer job for students who have great attitude but zero guidance and training. Improve management in the resort and you can turn this into a gem in Kelowna!

Our anniversary trip was ruined by the hotel putting us between two "party" townhouses with multiple people going in and out noisily ruining our relaxation while we attempted to enjoy our small outdoor area. We realized we would be kept up all night so we asked to be moved somewhere else, but all that was offered was a room overlooking the parking lot, not the lake which is what we paid for. We didn't stay under these circumstances. Incredibly disappointing. I guess the money for the resort is in wedding parties so that is who is prioritized.

Didn't stay overnight at the Resort. Stopped for a drink and appetizers. Excellent atmosphere overlooking the lake marina and beach areas. ⛱️ Extensive wine list but limited beer 🍺 selections. Service was good but a little slow. There was only 1 server in the section. Would definitely visit again.

Everything was really nice except the smell in our room. We were in room 318 and at first we thought someone had been smoking there but the smell never left. It had a moldy smell which hit you like a stinky fist when you walked in. It was embarrassing when we had friends visit our room. Otherwise it was a great resort, loved it.

We stayed during the August heat wave just as the fires were starting. We stayed for three nights and travelled with our dog. We were fortunate enough to stay in a 2 bedroom villa - they are huge! The villas are well air conditioned to leave the pooch during the day while we enjoyed the non dog friendly boardwalk. Shout out to Sydney at the front desk who was a great help while we waited for our room to become ready. The marina is a nice area to walk. All the staff we encountered were friendly.

Well for an higher price hotel they sure cheap on cameras my car was hit in the parking lot and caused some damage to my bumper and they said they don’t have a camera in that area seriously now I have to pay out of pocket to fix it!!!! there not a lot of air flow in the hallways or elevator which is really slow!! Don’t get me wrong the service was good the amenities were awesome the views were one of a kind. Kelowna was a beautiful city just the broken bumper made it a bummer but would visit again just park in a better place if there is one?

Absolutely beautiful view and location right next to the water. Room was clean but has seen better days. Like other people mentioned, it really gets confusing with the naming convention. I stayed at the Manteo at Eldorado Resort. There is also the Eldorado hotel next door. But check in is only at the Manteo (for the most part...the Eldorado has a lobby but they tell you to go to Manteo. Anyway, the views were definitely worth it. The bathroom was a little on the small side but the beds were comfy. The price was a little steep, so I'm not sure if I would return. Also, I wish they gave you a complimentary bottle of water instead of the reusable bottle. I didn't have any dish soap to clean it and then you fill it up on the 3rd floor or lobby and the water is on the warm side. I understand the environmental angle, but after a long journey and for what you pay for the room, I just wanted a cold bottle of water (which I bought in the lobby for $4-5). 4 stars for the MANTEO, but 5 stars for the view and location.

I'm actually giving the restaurant a 1 as I was extremely disappointed. I ordered the prawn and lobster risotto for $50. It came with 2 prawns and a few pieces of lobster. The sauce was thick and claggy. I wasn't sure if it was an east Indian flavor they were after but this dish totally missed the mark. Totally disappointed especially paying that price.

They started out on the wrong foot by naming both locations the same. The front desk was quite rude telling us we were at the wrong place. The lady had no smile at all. She informed us we would get a ticket parking in their parking lot if we didn't give them our licence number. I was in a borrowed vehicle and didn't know the number. We had an 80th birthday party there in the middle of the day after most tourists had gone home. They charged us an extra $64 service fee because we were more than six guests. That is absurd. Our waiter was excellent, very attentive. However, the poor man got no tip because of the $64 fee.

Great staff, food & absolutely lovely experience at the Indigenous Well-being Gathering. Hope to come back to Manteo! On two separate occasions two different staff went above + beyond to help me in small concerns. Blown away by their generosity! Maarsii/Thank you.

Just had a great stay at the Eldorado Resort right from arrival!! I was welcomed by Tobe who was very helpful and informative on the property. I definitely recommend booking a premium lake view suite as it is nice having extra space in your room with a fully equipped kitchen that is clean and includes all cooking supplies you may need and a coffee maker! While staying at the beautiful beachfront resort I was able to try both restaurants on site Lakeside dinning lounge and the Meastros both where exquisite especially Meastros if you enjoy food from the Mediterranean! Check out experience was seamless I was checked out by Summer and Imya (sorry if I said the name wrong) who we’re both amazing as well! Overall I definitely would recommend staying at the Eldorado Resort for any occasion wheather it is a wedding, Family vacation or just business with it’s amazing service and stellar location!

Gorgeous lakeside location, excellent outdoor hot tub and pool. There’s a designated 16+ one which is great if you want to avoid kids. Friendly check-in service, decent food at the restaurant with great service there too. We’ll be back!

I've stayed here a few times and done many many events in conference center. This place is a great hotel. Awesome spot right on the water. Ed, Daniel, and the rest of the service staff at the conference center are fantastic! These guys anticipate needs, are there when you need them and will take care of anything you need. It's too bad the in hotel restaurant is closed for renovations ATM, but there's a few places to eat within walking distance, and a bunch more a short cab ride away. If you have a chance to do an event here, do it.

Stayed for 2 nights in the 1st week of March with the family and friends for our kids skating competition in Kelowna. We loved the place so much we are finding it hard to find a similar hotel in other cities. We stayed in a 1 bedroom suite with a full kitchen. No need to bring plates and cutlery, the hotel has taken care of it.

Live this place. Second time staying at one of their water front villas for 4 days snd 3 nights. Love the pool and hot tub. The Villas are like townhouses. Each bedroom with its own private bath. Powder room for guests. Garage for car! I could live here all year round! Live it!!!

As for my recommendation to stay at the El Dorado? I have mixed feelings. I'll start with the Cons: Expensive, some tiny rooms, they had maintenance issues not just with my room, having to walk through rain to another hotel in the resort to check out and waiting 45 minutes for a cab... not the hotels fault, they did try. Here are the Pros: Beautiful place, great ambiance, great staff that bent over backwards to accommodate me given the tools they had on hand. Excellent food and drink with a wine list second to none... and I heard they also have an excellent scotch and whiskey selection. The room I finally ended up in was excellent. Spacious enough, great bed and magnificent views with Wi-Fi and all the amenities one would expect from such an establishment. Would I recommend? Yes and no. There are definitely better values in Kelowna but if it's a special event you have planned, spend the extra money as you will have a great experience all around. The staff is wonderful, they just need a few more tools in their tool box to make the stay over the top. Thank you to everyone there that did make my stay special despite a few set backs. I hope my next stay will be a 5 star and not a 4 star.

Great place for a staycation or for visiting the city. Nice rooms, friendly staff. Has a lot of amenities. Make sure to eat at the Lakeside Dining Room while you're there!

Besides the location, can’t say anything else good about the “resort”. Firstly, the checkin is 4 pm?? I had requested if I can do an early checkin at 2 pm and they said it was not possible. Though the entire resort was particularly empty. I even offered to say additional to get an early checkin. Anyway, they said they’ll take my number down and call me when the room was ready and as you might have guessed, they never called. This hotel(not a resort) is so outdated. The rooms took me back to the 90s, the phone was broken so I needed to walk down to reception to grab anything. Which was also forgotten several time by the staff. It is extremely overpriced for the quality of service provided. There was no soap in the bathrooms, the tv was so small - I could only see the television from one of the beds in the room. Not sure why but the sink was outside the bathroom??? Anyway, I would not recommend staying at this place.

We had a small gathering for a Indian wedding function at the the resort. The staff was super accommodating for every little detail we requested. If we need an extra riser, it was there, if our guests needed an umbrella, it was there. Every single staff member was super polite and courteous. Every one had a smile, and seemed to be enjoying their job. We were a little nervous about food as we had asked for Indian food at our event. Although, the food was not typical tradition Indian dishes, the flavor pallet was the same, with select Indian deserts. Every single of our guests loved the food, and said the quality of each item in buffet was superb. Our chef, Bikram, also took extra care to make sure the presentation of the food was reflective of the quality of the dishes as well. I would highly recommended for visit, or event, you are in great hands.

I’ve stayed at Manteo a number of times both for business and for pleasure. My experience each and every time has been nothing short of outstanding. The staff is professional, accommodating, gracious and friendly from the management, front desk attendants, restaurant servers, and the room service team. I will not stay anywhere else when I’m in town, in fact I have many others who’ve moved to using Manteo also. The boardwalk lounge is perfect! Good food and super service. Thank you for providing a top notch place for us to enjoy and relax. I’ll be seeing you soon! 😃

Wow what an amazing Summer getaway! We enjoyed the resort, kids pool + Splash park and Restaurant during our stay! The staff were so friendly and helpful. Total relaxation like a little Mexico getaway. Can't wait to recommend to family and clients!

Always enjoy Manteo and the pool with friends. We have been coming here for years and as usual the service is good and the rooms are fine. The rooms could use some updating and the hallway carpet needs changing to something smoother as the bag cart bounces all over the place and is noisy. This year the restaurant changed names and went from expensive to crazy expensive as said by my wealthy friend, my wife is the only one that can afford to eat there.

Summer 2022 prices are crazy in any hotel so took the plunge and tried manteo as it was only 100CAD more than a 3 star airport hotel. Ambience was nice and the location / setting is great. Rooms could use a little love and some remodelling tho so don’t have too high a expectations!

Honestly I s blast staying in this hotel! So I would recommend. On the otherhand, I only stayed there for 1 night, and I had very late check-in around 11pm, well my checkout was in the morning around 7am. So I didn't really full got to cover anything other then sleep on the bed! - But will definitely make an other staying the my next trip from Victoria. And update my reviews from there. Keep at it! ✌️

I was very underwhelmed at the level of service and cleanliness overall (The staff they DO have work extremely hard and not slighting them for their efforts, especially the housekeeping team!). There are things like pools not being cleaned - 3 days in a row I saw same band aid in the pool - gross! I asked a staff member and they said they'd do it later... i guess my idea of later is less than 3 days!!! Also, the elevator tracks in the only lobby elevator are caked with dirt and debris; carpets throughout hallways felt sticky, very stained. Can't bring you own drinks to pool area, yet if you want service, expect a 45 minute wait to get your drinks! Such a drop in overall quality from our previous stay. I doubt we'll return.

Water was lapping right below our balcony. Spacious. Quiet. Clean. Loved it and our walk on New Year's Day along the boardwalk as we watched several polar dippers in action. Caution. Ice all along boardwalk at this time

Decent but slightly outdated hotel on a nice lakefront property near some great beaches. The restaurants are good, but mundane for the price. Not much else in the area in terms of food, nightlife etc. Beautiful patio on the lake.

Over all was great, they accommodated early check in, 4pm check in to start is kinda annoying. Front desk staff was wonderful, rooms are clean and great ocean view. Indoor pool was decent size, hot tub was good and Clean !! I did go to the gym early morning , nothing special, some equipment need upgrading. One thing to pay attention to is when they have events in the evenings. Good luck finding parking. Hotel guest should have some priority I think. Overall great location, amazing views, friendly staff. I would recommend this hotel to my friends.

Self-playing piano and beautiful warm fireplace entertained the kids immediately upon arrival - mom and dad greeted by friendly and welcome front desk staff. Nearby, Happy Hour was taking place their in-house waterfront restaurant, with a guitarist playing smooth jazz on his electric. Upstairs, our lakefront one bedroom suite ticked all the boxes for our family of 4 plus 2 dogs. Kids were happy on the sofa bed, while mom and dad were happy in their king size with all the tools needed to make healthy breakfasts, lunches, and dinners within the hotel room. Indoor swimming pool and hot tub were a perfect touch after coming back from a big day at Big White, along with the terry bathrobes within the room. Parking was complimentary and situated outdoors so we did not have to worry about low clearance with the Thule on top of our SUV. Thank you for a lovely memorable winter getaway Manteo!
