I completed 6 dives with this shop and I have nothing but positive reviews for the entire crew. Sam and Kendrick were talented dive masters and led our dives so smoothly. As a solo diver I was thankful for their communication and leadership. I would recommend anyone to Captain Hooks dive shop. They know how to take care of you!

Had a fantastic dive experience with captain hook’s team. Booked dive for two days (Friday reef day, Saturday Vanderberg wreck dive). Reef dive in the afternoon has spectacular visibility, felt like we were diving in an aquarium. 2 tank wreck done the next day didn’t have as much visibility but getting the swim through experience was fantastic. Dive master CJ was a great guide on both days. Clearly explained everything and was very attentive. Kendrick and captain Rick were great as well, very helpful getting on and off the boat, making sure everything was safe and good to go. Cole helped out on or reef dive day as well. Overall awesome team and would definitely book them again. Also their dive shop carries Grateful Diver gear and you have to nab one of those if you haven’t already.

The older black man that works there is absolutely atrocious... Ex airline employee? I'm never diving with key west captain hooks EVER again. We were treated with nothing but disrespect throughout our entire experience here because of him and I find it incredibly disheartening as I've used the other captain hook locations well over 50 times but I'm staying FAR away from this place. This key west location employees were absolutely nothing like the other locations diving. Terrible experience and horrendously rude man. Thanks for ruining my entire day on our short vacation stay here in the keys. Atrocious. Fire him.

I’ve been diving with Capt. Hook’s Key West for 4 years and now consider them like family. They are super friendly, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I got both my open water and advanced open water certifications through Capt. Hook’s and can’t wait to take more courses! Max, Charles, and David (and Garrett although he moved out of the area) are some of the coolest and most helpful people in the shop. I had the pleasure of taking my first dive trip to Roatan through Capt. Hook’s and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone who is considering a dive trip to GO FOR IT! It was such an amazing experience! Max did a phenomenal job at organizing and communicating details of this trip, answering questions, and even went out of his way to create checklists so we didn’t miss anything. We didn’t know what to expect from our first dive trip but now look forward to booking the next one. I’ll let the photos speak for themselves! Thank you Capt. We did a wreck dive with Henry. The conditions were tough but Henry was an excellent dive master. He really made the day for us and also was very helpful with providing advice on some things to try and do after. Cannot recommend highly enough.

I could not recommend a better company to help you experience diving in Key West. We had the best crew on both our trips.Thank you Captain hooks for such a great birthday weekend! Shout out to Kendrick, Sam, and Malcom! And all the employees at Captain Hooks!

This place is awesome! My wife and I went here for her birthday and diver Dave did an absolutely great job helping her overcome her fears and after we got done she was really happy he was able to guide us through our first dives! The ocean floor is a whole different world and only through his help were we able to enjoy it. Look forward to coming back to get certified one day....

Had a great dive with the crew at captain hooks. We dove the cayman salvage wreck which was incredible. Was originally bummed we couldn’t dive the vandenberg wreck but what a pleasant surprise how cool the cayman was. Our Divemaster Sam was great, funny and very personable. He showed us some cool marine life and guided two super enjoyable dives. Great dive operation, professional, well organized, great gear, great staff and a nice spacious dive boat operated by cpt Rick who was great to talk to. Will definitely dive with this crew again.
