This so the perfect place to stop with your littles if you’re from the area or not. It’s a free splash park and playground for the kids. It’s so cute and right on the water. There is a couple Playground areas opposite of the splash area and it allows for the different age groups of kids to play. For a family of 7 like me with kids aged 14-1 it worked really well for us. Just like anywhere else in key west you have to pay for parking hut when you’re doing there you can go over to the beach or to the coast guard boat to take a look at it.

Unless you have just never been to Key West's famous Sunset Celebration (and if you have not, you definitely should at least once in your life), this spot is way better than the much more well-known Mallory Square for amazing Key West sunsets. Same gorgeous sunsets as Mallory, but without Sunset Key blocking your view. And as an added bonus, this park is an awesome asset to both locals and tourists alike, with lots of greenspace, an awesome (mostly shady!) playground and splashpad, a weekly farmers market (Thursdays 4-7pm), a fitness trail, and even a coastguard cutter museum! Some of the best things in life are still free!

The dock is nice with lots of benches. There's also a big playground and water park area right across from the ship- i didn't get any pics but it looks like a fun place for the kids and was very nice. There were people there fishing, riding bikes, skating and jogging. I also saw a birthday party going on there. Pay for parking required at $4/ hour. It's a nicely maintained quiet area.

We used Truman Waterfront Park as a base for an on-foot tour of the far west end of Key West. I thought the park quite nice looking and well kept. As busy the historic district was with tourists, this park quieted down significantly. My grandson immediately spotted the splash zone playground; and I spotted the USCGC Ingham. Parking rates are reasonable for such a hot spot for tourists. Besides a lot of open, green space, paved walkways led to each end of the park. Of note is a series of fitness stations for those who like to exercise in the open. I tried most of them out and appreciated getting in a workout on the fly.

Really impressed by this expansive waterfront park. There are some really awesome fitness stations and it's a great place for biking, rollerblading, or skateboarding. The children's playground has a modern design with a canopy covering most of the obstacles. There are plenty of benches which are a perfect spot to take in the sunset. There are restrooms on the grounds, not sure what hours they're open though.

Great park, not in the usual path for tourists so it’s usually not very crowded which is nice. Great views of the ocean and you can see a number of coast guard vessels, noaa vessels, etc depending on the day. Lots of roosters and chickens and other wildlife that hangs out near the parks parking lots. There’s also a coast guard museum on a retired vessel that’s docked up alongside the park.

Great place to take small kids to play in the water park. Great walking track with exercise stations every little bit. Big kids loved getting ripe coconuts out of the palm trees. Great place for skateboarding and biking also.

It's a worderful park in key west. One of the best playgrounds we have found around USA. Great place to take small kids in water park. It’s a free splash park and playground for the kids. It’s so cute and right on the water. There is a couple Playground areas opposite of the splash area and it allows for the different age groups of kids to play. Fine place for skateboarding and biking also.Clean public restrooms on site and easy parking.

BEST FREE PLACE TO GET THE WIGGLES OUT before bringing the littles into one of Key West's famous museums, art galleries or before the 4 hour ride back to Miami. Beautiful waterfront park & historical area near walking trails, picnic areas, relatively clean restrooms & beach. Only a few blocks off famous Duval St. Only challenge/set back, your kids aren't going to want to leave this oasis splash pad & ropes course playground, so maybe consider doing snack time after playtime to help move them along, haha! Oh, and sun block, give them an extra coat of sunblock. Have fun!

Great place though go watch the sunset. We had to walk through a gated community to get there. Pedestrians can get through but not cars. Not sure if there is another entrance that is driveable

Really great park for kiddos. The splash pad is super clean with ample seating for adults. There’s also a playground that has a shade “pavilion” over the top of it with fun play structures. There’s also a huge open field to explore if you have a dog or a kid who just wants to run free and explore after the chickens and iguanas roaming around!! It’s right on the water and we saw a huge navy ship that was docked there (not sure if that’s its permanent home, or if we simply got lucky to see it docked there, but it was cool)

This place is great! Open to the public with a little spray park and two big play structures. Kept my 3yo entertained for quite a while. Not super busy on a Tuesday afternoon either. Bathrooms were easy to access from the play area but had to pay for parking.

👍👍 This is a fantastic place! The beach is very nice, the water is blue, there are a lot of tables you can sit at and there are multiple barbecues. Furthermore the place has a restaurant, free toilets, outside showers and a rental kiosk where you can get beds and snorkels. We had such a good time and e...

👍 The Key West Nature Preserve is a nice little pocket park with a boardwalk that opens up to the sea. The marshy area can sometimes smell and foster more bugs than is usual in modern Key West, but this is reflective of an untouched island ecology. Muscle through the marsh and you’ll be treated to a p...
