Omg the best! We come here twice a day because it's so fresh and only about $6. Very satisfying mix of 8 hour cooked hard boiled egg, hummus, fresh veggies, and various magical sauces combined to make an explosive taste sensation that will have you coming back as a daily pilgrimage.

Very delicious and fairly priced (23 per one sandwich - which was nicely sized portion). Never had Sabich before and si I didnt know what i will get. Although i am not vegetarian, it was really delicious and fresh.

Superb sabich but rude staff. I got shouted at for not understanding Hebrew which seemed rather harsh. Thanks for the reply. We were there on 1st August in the evening. The person making the sabich was extremely quick and skilful but rude - a shame because otherwise we had a very good experience.

Located at the edge of Mahane Yehuda market, Arica Sabich offers just one thing: sabich, the combination of fried eggplant, slow-cooked egg, amba, chili sauce, tahini, hummus, and salads (cucumber, tomato, onions, pickles, herbs) in a freshly-baked pita or on a plate. The sabich here was traditional and rustically assembled. The slow-cooked egg was sliced and crushed, so it had a nice creamy consistency in the sandwich, and the highlight was the soft, chewy pita that held all the ingredients together.

Amazing sabich! I’ve never had it before but I really liked it. The pita was warm, the ingredients were fresh, and it had lots of intense flavors. They make the food very quickly and it was pretty cheap too. I would definitely go back and I recommend it to anyone! I’m not the biggest lover of eggplant, but this was really excellent.

Rocking bread pocket with eggplant and perfect hard boiled egg. Sauce was grand. Very cheap for Jerusalem. 2 sabbich and a malt drink for 56ILS.

Wow, the sabiche here is truly incredible! Soft, pillowy pita filled with all the sauces you could imagine, with a huge portion of golden juicy aubergine, fresh salad and pickles. Then they do exactly the same again - more sauces, more aubergine! In the holiest city in the world, coming here was the best thing we did.

Phenomenal - This delicious concoction of vegetables and sauces is stuffed in a pita, using the freshest of ingredients. The wait can be a little long since each Sabich is prepared right in front of you. It's well worth the wait.

We came for culinary tour in the center of Jerusalem. Their Pita was the best of the day! I had many Sabiches and this was one of the best I've ever had. Enjoy!

It is located across the busy Machaneh Yehudah Market. Aricha Sabich offers delicious food at an affordable price. You can definitely ask for help with your order if you don't understand the menu here. It is a friendly atmosphere, and the staff is always willing to assist with your order. This was my first time trying this food, and I was amazed at how tasty it was. Best sabich in Jerusalem!

Tiny little shop with amazing sabich. The fillings were super flavorful, the pita was fresh and chewy, and it was 25 shekel without egg; can’t beat it!

Saucey and wholesome, eggplant and pita married in a vivid union.

Simply perfect! I've never tried sabich before but I felt in love with this meal here, 100% recommended. Staff is great, food is great, thank you guys

If you like eggplant go. One of the best street food experiences ever. I had the mushrooms instead of eggs in the eggplant sandwich. Truly tasty and amazing

The pita is fresh from the oven, the ingredients are delicious and perfectly balanced, and the staff are courteous and lightning-fast. A note of caution: no matter how hard you try to eat neatly, you’ll still get tahini all over you… but it’s definitely worth it!

In summary, the best food in Jerusalem. Simple, efficient, affordable and delicious. Don't change a thing!

I live for hidden gems like this. The vegetarian pita with eggplant is the best food I had in Israel. Made with all fresh ingredients and perfectly well balanced. And very reasonable priced.

For anyone who is a tourist and never had Sabich before this is a great place. For anyone who knows Sabich and knows what to compare it too then it’s average at best

First time trying sabich and absolutely love it. It is so tasty and hearty. After ordering at the counter, the sabich is freshly made in front of you. The pita bread is soft and is stuffed with a generous amount of eggplants, soft boiled eggs, salad, herbs and delicious tahini sauce. It is so good that we went back immediately the day after. There are a few tables both inside and outside the place.

Amazing sandwich. It's an experience. I'm looking forward to the next sandwich.

highly recommend. One of the best Sabich iv eaten. Located near the market and not too far from the train station so it will fit great if you're visiting jerusalem. Sabich is a very Israeli traditional street food so you should try it.

Very tasty sandwich with eggplants! Intense flavor and delicious pita, loved it

  • 1/5 Ami A. 1 year ago on Google
Highly overrated! The staff is amateur and always get the order wrong. The eggplant was simply unchewable and the music loud, intense and annoying. The overall experience was very disappointing. Their rating is high just because this place used to be good. Unfortunately not anymore

Sometimes we try to be tourist in our home city - We came to the machane yehuda market this evening, but most of the food places there I found more expensive than I remembered from few years ago (been eating little outside since the pandemic 😷) so we eventually ended up seeing Aricha sabich. First I tried a bite of pita to see if it fresh and of my liking - the lovely girl there gave us to try some spreads that they make and sell - it tasted good - so we took 2 sabich in pita, matbucha spread( hot smoked pepper and tomato) and fresh orange juice (79sh total) It was amazing, I like aubergine, but this was actually the best sabich I ate in Israel! All toppings they use were good, fresh, and the portions are super generous. It is that warm feeling when you ate good, had pleasant experience and satisfied with the money spent. So definitely the place to eat when at the market!

This is the best meal I had in Israel. It’s both fresh and super quick. Cool staff and great vibe. Would highly recommend.

Really good Sabich! Apparently they fired the eggplant and add it in. Our guide talked about their stories of how to make the best fried eggplant: from the ingredients, to the drying process and they frying. I am not a fan of eggplant but I love this one! However, I have a friend who is a fan of eggplant but didn’t like it. Give it a try and you will see!

A deliciously simple sandwich with high quality ingredients, delicious condiments and really just an experience in every bite! Very fresh, very tasty, and most importantly, the eggplant is never soggy!

Fresh and tasty aubergine & egg based pita sandwich.

  • 5/5 Amir A. 3 years ago on Google
Is it the best sabich in Jerusalem? No, but it's a strong contender for second place. The eggplant is on the sweeter side, almost like it's fried in sweetened oil. There salad is fresh and heavy on the herbs. The egg and other components take a back seat to the eggplant and salad. The decor inside is young in style. Religious items scattered around give the place a cozy, authentic, trustworthy feel. There is table seating, bar seating, and sidewalk seating. Cheerful service.

Best food i ever had in my entire life! Not being exaggerated but ive never like eggplants and fell in live with it cuz of this place. Authentic flavor and a group of people who has passion to serve the customer with best and fresh food. If i were to travel back to Jerusalem, it is for their food.
