Calypso has a great atmosphere but what sea-side restaurant with chill music doesn't? The food is decent. We ordered a fruit plate that wasn't vetted so some of it was off/bad. Friendly staff. Prices are relatively high owing to its beach side location.

One of the worst brunch’s I ever had. The location of place is actually amazing- but it is such a waste to put a restaurant with this level of food there. The food was awful - we didn’t eat it - not the first courses and not the mains. We returned the main courses without even asking for something else- because we knew after the firsts that the whole place is bad. The waiters were super nice. And that’s why it got the extra star from me. Also the location. So you can go there for a beer but don’t try the kitchen..

This is extreme rip-off. Small beer around 13 EUR. Be warned. Prices blown up over any proportion. Also: bad, slow service. The waiter added a tip for himself, deciding how much he will get ("and 20% for me"). Outrageous! Avoid at all costs.

Don’t try to visit this place, you’ll just be disappointed. One of the most expensive places in Tel-Aviv. Small plates, expensive food. Only 1/3 cups of beer that costs more than 1/2 cup.. Worst service, even having an extra sauce for my dish costed 19₪ extra. Waiter took the whole meal to grab water. Don’t visit this place.

Not so good. I see why this place is not full in rush hours. the squeezed Orange juice was yellow and weird, the 1 liter ice tea was 700ml ice full. The salads had too much spices. jachnon and toast were good.

Service was rude, and not just the Israeli kind of abruptness, which is just part of the culture. I asked the hostess for a table and she just said “I don’t have anything.” I counted at least six open tables at a place that doesn’t take reservations. It’s a beach bar. She didn’t even offer a wait time. When I did eat there the food was less than half as good as when I last visited in 2018. It’s a waste of time and money.

Waiters are rude, they told us 15% is not enough tip in Israel and if we do not pay at least 20% tip they will call the police😂 absolute scammers

chilled music, good food, delicious cocktails! Unfortunately, the waiter destroyed the atmosphere at the end by asking very cheeky 12 instead of 10% (50 shakels were not enough) and did not leave until the sum was paid! No one in Israel treated us so brazenly, 10% were always ok before! 12 € for mediocre food and 2 drinks I would not pay anywhere where! luckily there is the bananabeach and other ...

One of my favourite beaches of TLV. It's pretty wild and more fun swim than on the other beaches further north. Calypso is situated between TLV and Yafo (Jaffa). The restaurant offers great sea food amongst other delicious dishes.

Nicely designed place on the beach, very chilly, good place for spendind time on the beach. Not very cheap and menu is not very interesting. Some israeli specialties (more expensive than usual). But you are paying for the atmosphere that is really great!

★I recommend the Fish and Chips dish and the BBQ Wings. ★You should Order the Berries Mojito. IMO it was good but could have been sweeter. ★The service was good.

A decent spot for a late night drink by the beach. Service is slow and prices are somewhat high, even for Tel Aviv standards. Even still, the views are location are unbeatable. Right next to the most desirable beaches in the city and a few blocks from busy store fronts and city center.

They bring the food and drinks very fast but in every dish there was something wrong. In the breakfast you can't switch side dishes so half went away. Pittah came hard. Burger was disappointing. Overall 2 of 5

Amazing beach bar to chill and enjoy a cocktail or food at any time of the day Nothing beats the sunset of tel aviv Really cool melodic techno backround - with a dj playing for us Cocktails not something crazy - abit too sweet. The service is kinda slow Abit overpriced for the quality but The location is everything

We ordered 2 coffee (one cold and one cappuccino) and 1 croissant. The coffee was O.K but the croissant was dry and definitely not fresh. We paid 66 shekel which is a lot. The view is beautiful and the atmosphere was also grait. The service was ok minus - but we guess it because it was Friday.

When we arrived around 19:30, we sat while no one approached us at all. We have asked for menus...it took someone to treat us more than 15 min just to get menus...wait ...this was just the beginning After we ordered simple dishes like Humus and a salad we waited hour while everytime we have asked what about the food they kept telling us it is coming out in few minutes... After this 1 hour the manager (if to call such a guy manager...) came to us to tell us our order will take at least 20 more minutes...with no apologies with no intention to compensate ..simple as that... We were so mad and we said we wish to cancel the order...he said no problem but you need to pay for the drinks... I strongly suggest go to the other restaurants no reason to get such bad service for the money you pay...

Terrible food and terrible staff. A wedge of raw cabbage was the vegetable side with beef dish. Over priced, forgotten orders and few people waiting. So sad!

Waiter did not pick up my order for more than 30 minutes. Asked for a tip at checkout, I said 10% but it was 11%. The amount was for the seat next to us and was charged again. I was told that the bill next to me was cancelled, but it was not. You should be very careful.

One star for a top notch location. That's about it. Waiter wasn't all there and the food wasn't either. The crows liked my kid's burger so that's something. And that is the first one star review I ever left. What a shame.

Very pricy, not worth it. We had the pad tai witch was expensive and very plain, the chicken sandwitch that was as dry as a bone, with stail bun to boot, and the sevitche that was ok.

It's a nice beach area to spend some time in general. But I wouldn't come here for drinks again. It's very pricey (what I can understand due to the location) and the service is just super slow. We have been there in the evening when it wasn't crowded at all. Still the waiters were struggling a lot to keep up.

Hi I think I sat outside in the shade with a decaf cappuccino and lazed from 9-11.45 last Monday 15th May before my fight home … it was idyllic and that ‘4’ hrs was my holiday … however I rushed off as in nodding off I was running late for the plane and in my dazy dozy state I walked off without paying for my coffee!! Back in the UK now I can’t see a contact number or email address so hopefully someone sees this and can contact me so I can make a payment … if you’re visiting then please tell them … hoping it was the right place, some comfy sofa like seats on the sand in the shade. I thought I took a photo of the view of my feet and the sea but I can’t find it!

We ran after the waiter for 1hour for him to take order and waited for 1,5 hour to finally get our food which was so so .. I do not recommend this place

The bottom line...I don't recommend at all!!! Now for the reason: We have sat on Friday evening...the restaurantwas not that full however we have waited more than 20min till someone approached us (and this was after we have asked several times for it)...after we have ordered, we waited an hour however nothing from food came out...we have asked enough times and they kept saying in few min...still nothingcame out...then came out the manager and said it can take at least 20 more minutes to arrive...does this makes sense to you?!

Me and some friends went to the restaurant which go to often we had a server who was ginger with a hat and sun glasses, who was quite rude, we asked the size difference in the watermelon where he told us to if you cant pay leave which was quite out of context and lest me and my friends surprised from the interaction, and when we were done and ordered the bill he threw it on the table, and after we payed(didn’t leave tip as it was bad service) he said that its not “sababa” and we are quite generous tippers tbh but the services was terrible and rude.

👍 It’s been a few years since my last visit and the place grew a lot and is now a huge restaurant right on the port of Jaffa. The design is very impressive too. We arrived just before 1pm and had plenty of room, despite the fact that we did not have an order. Right after we sat down, the staff brought...
