The park was founded in 1957. At this time, enterprises, houses, schools, and kindergartens were actively being built. The number of residents in the area then grew significantly. Hence the need arose to create places of cultural recreation. Yuri Gagarin's flight into space made its own adjustments to the history of the object. The first cosmonaut visited Khabarovsk twice, toured its sights and planted a Kuril larch seedling. In the 1990s, the park fell into disrepair. The revival of the park began thanks to the construction of the regional circus, which opened in 2001. Then it was possible to improve part of the park territory. Currently, reconstruction is ongoing.

It's very nice here in summer. Green. But there aren't enough benches. Lack of trash cans. You can take a walk. Calm and cozy.

It's good to walk around the park in any weather. It’s always clean and tidy, everything is surrounded by greenery.

Well-groomed park named after. Yu.A. Gagarin for those who like to relax among nature. You can ride bicycles, and in winter there is a small free skating rink. The state circus is also located here. The Cosmoport cinema and entertainment center is under construction.

We liked it, although the asphalt leads in all directions, you could see a swampy place.

В современном виде парк Гагарина стал одновременно и лучше, и хуже, чем был раньше. Лучше - стал более облагороженным, чистым и ухоженным. Хуже - стал менее зелёным, лысым. Раньше это был практически лесок вдоль дороги, а теперь редкие деревья, асфальт, плитка. Зимой выглядит ещё более печально из-за отсутствия листвы на этих редких деревьях.
