The Sudan National Botanical garden established in 1954, is located in khartoum in the Mogran residential area. The garden contains a collection of living plants in addition to a herbarim. I visited the garden to attend one of the events hosted by the garden which is the annual flower exhibition (it happens usually from November to first week of December). The garden and the domain are open on official working days, Sunday to Thursday 09:00 am to 03:00 pm (during the annual flowers exhibition 9am -10 pm) , and access requires tickets at the gate, 500 sdg per person. Between the flower of the violets jasmin and different kind of plants you can spend a nice day, you have to have a milk tea and zalabia from the nice tea makers in the garden, you will like it.

Located near the two River Niles confluence at Almugran district, the Botanical garden is a home of hundreds types of of Sudan's diverse botanic species, from arid land to rainy equatorial forests. you could move around the Garden to look close to the richness and diversity of Sudan's Flora, there's two exhibitions held in the garden yearly, Autumn flowers in September and the annual exhibition in February .

big botanical garden , nice place to relax , there alot of teasellers under the tree shades . they hold a gardening shopping festival twice a year where you can buy the rarest plants , they do tend to raise their prices for the season , the prices are not fixed
