After trying the Fat Turtle on Long Beach last week, we decided to come here. Same restaurant group and they also own the Fat Pig (we will try next) by the pier. The vibe was great. Dimmed lighting, nice music. Good service and great food. Cocktails were very good as well. I had the British burger and it was the bomb. I had been holding out for a good one as I try not to eat them often. Glad I had tried theirs. House ground of three cuts and perfect seasoning paired with some skinny fries made this a perfect plate. Shandy enjoyed the seafood pasta (only requesting prawns). The sauce was well balanced and rich with wine, garlic, chili and light cream. Noodles were cooked al dente. The prawns were slightly overdone would be my only critique. Covered in fresh grated parmesan and a side of garlic bread. Great menu offerings with a focus on Western favourites. Large cocktail list. Went back for a second time and we both had the seabass over prawn risotto. Sadly the dish was under seasoned. The risotto was overcooked, prawns mushy and under seasoned.

One year ago, if I could give 6 stars to this burger I would have. Today, it's so far away from that. Meat inside is of horrible quality, overall it was underwhelming and even managed to become smaller (last point could be my bias). Absolutely not worth it.

Today we had lunch at the fat monkey. We had a good experience although we were the only ones in the restaurant. Friendly staff and nice food. The green curry was delicious and also the presentation deserves to be mentioned! Good wifi available for free as well. Overall recommendable!

Probably the best burgers ever! The atmosphere is cozy and the service is superb! The owner was super lovely and the staff was great! We had the best of British, the Bruce Banner, and the Rocqu-A-Billy - they were superb! A must try! Loved it!

What a great find! The staff inside are extremely attentive and helpful, thank you Mei for looking after us, you were great. We enjoyed 2x burgers and both were delicious. The potato wedges with garlic dip are to die for. A little more on the pricey side but it's definitely worth it, reflected in portion size and quality. Highly recommended.

We stayed in Koh Lanta for one month, and my partner surprised me with a dinner at this super ROMANTIC restaurant for my birthday. The dinner, drinks, atmosphere, and level of attention that goes into making the food (seriously, so delicious 🤤😍🥰!), and service was mind-blowing. We could not recommend this restaurant enough. I recently visited the Fat Monkey, and I have to say, it was an incredible experience. The burgers were hands down the best I've ever had - juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. Fantastic food and cozy atmosphere in the middle of the main road of Klong Dao. Staff speaks perfect english and offer thai and foreign food. Highly recomended, will revisit!

The new Smash Burger Menu 😋. I had the Liam with house made made pickles. I was not disappointed. Can’t wait to come back.

The food was good. Don’t get me wrong. The service was absolutely horrible. The hostess / floor manager was selectively friendly to some people and rude or dismissive to others. It’s like they don’t want you there. We had cocktails and wine and at the end my wife wanted to get a water to go. They brought us a small glass bottle and as we were leaving, the hostess stopped us in the tuk tuk and told us we can’t take the bottle. It’s extra 40 bhat for the restaurant. But I just paid you 185 bhat extra as a tip on top of the almost 100$ bill. That was not even my pain point, she instead brought plastic paper cups and poured the water in it and took away the bottle. Seriously, you expect us to hold paper cups with water in a tuk tuk. We just had to throw it away. I specifically asked for water to go and this whole thing was quite disrespectful. It was my wife’s birthday and she deserved better than that. I feel disgusted. Never again.

Incredible food! My husband had the best of British burger and echos what others have said in it being one of the best burgers he has ever had! I have the seitan cob salad and that was great too. Portions are huge!! We also had the mango sticky rice for dessert which was great! Highly recommend.

We were there just before busy season so it was quiet. But the burger was good as others have stated. Bruschetta was also great. 360 for a burger is steep but it is good …

Fantastic restaurant! Delicious food and the tastiest cocktails, a very good menu with so many options for both the food and drinks. Staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, we're just gutted we only found it on our last night so can't revisit!!

This is on the main road It's a great bar/restaurant We had drinks here a number of times and ate there too The drinks are cheap and there was a range of food including Western and local EVERYTHING was delicious, I even had a delicious dessert too Great service from ALL the staff there Can't wait to go back 👍

Beautiful restaurant / bar, nice athmosphere. The menu is a mix of western & local food, for both there are a lot of options. My boyfriend had some western food and I had Thai food and we both were super happy! Lovely food presentation, great taste and good cocktails too! Totally recommend this place!

Most probably the best food on Koh Lanta, it’s kind of Thai fusion with the Western food. I highly recommend to visit Fat Monkey and enjoy the local beer and food.

Really great meal here. Huge portions which were well presented. Good drinks too. Even got a free chocolate brownie which was amazing.

Decent burgers & Thai food - but I wouldn’t bother with the “pizzas”… Cozy area in the evening but generally a bit too hot while the sun is up.

The restaurant and menu look great. We showed up shortly after opening time and that might have contributed to our poor experience. The bacon in each of our burgers was undercooked and soggy. The steak fries were also barely cooked. The one saving grace was the beef on both burgers was well seasoned, plump and cooked perfectly. Only here for a few more days, so won't return.

Real good quality food and drinks, not cheap but good

This is a good restaurant, a relaxed atmosphere, the staff are very friendly and welcoming. The food was great. We ordered the Massasaman lamb shank which is a sweet tasting curry with cashew nuts, as well as the Frite steak, both meals were tasty. The ice-cream shakes were delicious. Worth a try..

Awesome atmosphere, amazing and veggie/vegan inclusive menu too! A bit more expensive, but still cheaper than a meal out back home- feels more like a ‘nice meal out’ rather than a casual place to grab dinner which is the general vibe of most of the island. The vegan burger & coconut pudding are unreal!!!
