If you're booking this hotel reading positive reviews and nicely edited pictures you'll be disappointed. River is not spectacular as they've shown on the pictures. You won't be impressed by the river at all. Beds stink & they're old. Outlets are not placed next to your bed so charging your devices would be frustrating. No dental kits are provided, no soaps are provided. Only shower gel which is not good. Towels are shabby. Substandard food, not value for money. They don't provide drinking water unless you pay 50 bahts for a bottle of 1litre. You'll end up draining your wallet paying for water. They even charge for a document printout. Staff isn't responsive since the hotel is overcrowded. Only better thing is view of the cruises from sitout area passing after 7pm along the river. I never recommend this hotel for those who want hygiene and serenity.

The room is clean but quite small. Iโ€™m Asia and Iโ€™m small I feel like bathroom seem tiny for me. But itโ€™s in the good location which you can walk or take short ride to Icons Siam. The river view is very romantic in the evening.

It's a good budget hotel located right by the river, where especially at night you get a great view of the lit up river cruise boats passing close by. The rooms and bathrooms are a little tight, but they are fresh and clean. Luckily, I brought an extension cord because they only had one power outlet, quite a distance from the bed. The staff is friendly, good-natured, and helpful. The restaurant is "so-so" depending on what you order, and the language gap resulted in a few wrong orders, since they speak very little English over there. But the place is nice and comfortable, with great air-conditioning. The outdoor and pool area is nice and spacious too.

Great Location. Just walk to Main Street for local restaurants and 7-11 and only 5 minutes walk to Icon Siam where you can shopping Thai things to Luxury Brand and you can get taxi boats from here as well. My room was comfy, great view and valued of money. Restaurant price are acceptable, good food and great staff. Definitely back here again

A hotel room with impeccable cleanliness and easy accessibility is a standout experience. The combination of cleanliness and convenience enhances the overall comfort, making it a positive choice for travelers. A riverside view from a hotel room adds a delightful and tranquil element to the stay, providing a picturesque backdrop that enhances the overall experience. It's a great feature for those who appreciate scenic environments.

Stayed at IBIS Riverside for 2 nights, wonderful hospitality, and rooms are not too small, comfortable, and a beautiful view of the river. The hotel location is convenient to food, 7-Eleven, massages, and if you wanna walk to Icon Siam, it will probably be about 20 minutes. They do provide a shuttle to the train station, too. There is a big pool, massage hut and a nice restaurant for all-day dining. Parking is ample, too. Definitely more than what I expected in an Ibis. Over my stay .. the front desk staff Si, Rose and Pat were amazing and super helpful and friendly. Loved to be back to this hotel again

Been coming here many years now and always feels welcome. Staff helpful and caring. A no frills hotel but great value and superb location for your stay when in Bangkok. Being right on the river side is a bonus. There's a 7/11 right outside, a small shopping mall across the road, several local bars and restaurants and the epic Icon Siam shopping centre is only 15min walk.

An โ€œokayโ€ stay for the price. There is definitely a few things I wish I was aware of before booking. The walls and door to the hall are extremely thin and you can hear absolutely everything going on in the hall as well as rooms next to you. The rooms are a decent size but the shower is very small and outdated (the towels also had a smell to them). Also, when I arrived in my room I was greeted by a nasty smell from my mini fridge. There were dinner leftovers in my fridge from the people who stayed in the room before me. Looked like it may have been in there a few daysโ€ฆ You do get a great view of the water and a nice pool, however be prepared to order a Grab / Bolt to all the major spots around Bangkok as youโ€™re not too close to public transit.

The first IBIS hotel where it is self service.... Amazingly poor overall The non welcoming staff in the lobby should Not face any guests. We came in a group and asked to be close to each other but they place us in different floors. In the bar you have to go and order and get the drinks yourself. Surprisingly even the bill we had to get ourselves. Cleaning the room we did ourselves and fill water(had to go and get more water in 7/11. A great place if you miss your home chores on your holiday... For the same price you will most likely find a nicer and more welcoming hotel. One more thing the Air con was fixed on Antarctic cold.

Unbiased Review: Ibis Riverside Bangkok - A Comprehensive Evaluation Ibis Riverside Bangkok offers a standard level of service and amenities, falling within the average range expected from a hotel of this category. Choosing a room with a view facing the pool and river is recommended for an enhanced experience during your stay. Rooms are compact, neat, and well-maintained. However, it's noteworthy that the pricing might be slightly higher compared to other accommodations due to its prime location along the Chapraya river. Accessibility is convenient, with ease of travel to various destinations in town, as it is close to the BTS Skytrain. Additionally, its proximity to ICONSIAM, a prominent shopping mall, adds to its convenience. In the absence of a breakfast option, nearby eateries, including 7-11 and local eateries within a 5-minute walk from the hotel, offer a variety of delicious meals. Particularly recommended are two noodle shops known for their distinct styles and affordable prices, operating from 9 AM to around 9 PM, and notably bustling in the evenings. Access to rooms through door cards might occasionally require multiple attempts, a minor inconvenience observed during stays. One aspect to consider is the soundproofing of the rooms, which was below optimal levels, as noise from neighboring guests, particularly door closures, was noticeable and occasionally disruptive. Overall, Ibis Riverside Bangkok provides a reasonable and comfortable stay, with some minor considerations regarding noise levels and access card functionality.

This time I used it for a business trip. The room is clean, but since it was built a long time ago, it is a bit old. In terms of facilities, there is no gym, sauna, lounge, etc., only a pool, and it feels lonely. However, since it is located along the river, the scenery from the pool is amazing! Every morning from 6:00 AM, I took a dip in the pool at dawn and ate breakfast while soaking up the morning sun. You can also have a meal with the cute little birds โ™ช The pool closes at 18:00, which is such a waste. I wish I could at least swim until around 20:00.

Good location! The river view and the garden restaurant provide a perfect environment! You can stay a relaxing day in the hotel without going out. I and my husband spent a memorable vacation in this hotel. We also recommend it to our friends who are going to visit Bangkok in the Chinese New Year. In addition, the staff are polite and helpful. They help us to solve lots of problems since we are the first time to Thailand. The food in the restaurant is tasty. It would be desire if there are more choices of dishes in the menu.

The location is awesome, right by the river and within 10 mins walk to the famous shopping destination-Icon Siam. Despite the great reviews on breakfasts, we found both daysโ€™ breakfast during our stay barely acceptable. Under their save the earth initiative we barely made it through our two-day of stay with one bath towel per person, no hand or facial towels. Room rate was reasonable but if you are a seasoned traveler you can get the best rate. In our case we pre-booked at $44/day, including breakfast. We could have the room for $23, if we booked on the same day instead. I may stay here again next time, if I want to save money, and would recommend it to budget minded people who wanna stay at the waterfront.

Good value, nice customer service. Spacious, clean rooms. One pretty big complaint however, the rooms have no ventilation making it extremely humid. I'm not sure if this was an issue with all the rooms or ours specifically, but we could smell and see some mould because of the humidity. It was impossible to dry off a towel. You will wake up soaking in sweat, even though the AC works pretty well. Just needs way more ventilation especially in the toilet.

Visited this hotel 4 times over the past 5 years and this is my first review, but great hotel, the garden grounds and swimming pool are worth the money alone, great view of the river, plenty of places to eat as you leave the hotel on the main road, we stopped in a family room which inc bunk beds and a big bed and a playstation for the kids. Breakfast was OK, had toast, cereal, coffee, juice, fruit, eggs, thai dishes, plus rice porridge etc, and was nice sitting outside next to the river in the morning.

This place was great would 100% recommend! Location was good and easy to reach a BTS station or the river boats - I'd recommend the latter to see most of the sights! Breakfast was great, hotel staff were lovely and rooms were spacious and comfortable.

We stayed in this hotel again after 5 years but there are things to improve. Breakfast was much better 5 years ago.Yes, there are lot of choices but on our first visits there was pinapple and rambutan. Then, there was fresh natural juice as well. Once there were steamed buns with 3 different fillings, now there is only a sweet one.Thai dishes were much better. The dining room was much crowded, rven in june. The hotel prides itself to solve technical problems in 10 minutes. We twice had problems with the room lock. First time I had to wait in the stairways for the technical team. There were no benches or chairs. The aircon outside of the room does not work well.On another day, the door did not open again and we were given another room. No compensation as an upgrade of was given, we got the same type of room. The rooms are pleasent, but windows still cant be opened. The shower soap and shampoo the hotels fill up by themself, seems identical. Food in the hotel is expensive but there is a great vietnamese restaurant nearby.(Turn right on the main street, its about 200 meters on the same side.) Taxis ordered by the hotels for the airport are very expensive.I advise anyone to use local apps instead for a driver.

A good hotel with a good price to quality ratio. This hotel has large rooms, a nice swimming pool, good parking area and is well located to Bangkok centre. Also very close to the river with beautiful views. 1 km from the nearest BTS station. Friendly staff and good service! We like this hotel very much and will return.

Not here for stay, but for dinner buffet. Came here with a family of 4. We booked online just a few hours before arrival. The variety of food and dessert is very much family-friendly and kid-friendly. Seafood includes grilled blue crabs, boiled sea bass, grilled shrimp, grilled squid, boiled green mussel and boiled shrimp. Variety of cheese, salad veggies, pasta and Thai food is great to try. The staff is very friendly with service mind. The price per person is 1,299 THB, but hotel guests can enjoy a better rate of 899 THB.

The Ibis Bangkok Riverside is located directly next to the River Chao Praya, which makes for an excellent view from the poolside. The hotel itself however is nothing much to shout about. We had a standard room with a tiny bathroom and an even smaller shower stall, there was barely any space to turn around in. A negative point was last of power outlets (phone charging points) close to the bed. I noticed my duvet cover had small holes when we checked in, it didn't bother me but I made sure to report this to the front desk to avoid getting charged for this on checkout. Staff were cheerful and friendly but not super helpful - I had ordered a Grab food delivery which the front desk said would help to forward to me, but I never received it. Another think I felt was weird was that we were not allowed to refill our water bottles with drinking water at the hotel, not even at the breakfast buffet (which had a pretty limited spread) in the morning. All in all, it was an alright stay, but likely I will not be going back again.

Apart from the fact that it is a bit far from the BTS station the rooms have spectacular view. We had breakfast in the garden beside the river which is totally the highlight of the stay here. It has 7eleven down the street and only a few minutes ride to iconsiam. If u donโ€™t want to go far, the neighborhood has lots of restaurants and bars with local vibes.

  • 1/5 Andrea S. 7 months ago on Google
The building is under construction and the noise is very annoying. In your room, you can hear the door card swiping and the door opening and closing in the next room. At breakfast time, scrub the glass doors with a harsh cleaner. If you change your seat because the smell is too pungent, the lady collecting the dishes will roll her eyes at you. Itโ€™s best to bring your magnifying glass. Because the document they ask you to sign has a very small font. The counter staff will only be friendly to those who look distinguished, and it is recommended to come in dress code. The exception is Americans or people who look like Americans. They will be very nice to you.

The location is good, close to Icosam and ferry boat. Breakfast had different variety and was good. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The pool and sight were a plus. The con was that the bathroom is really small and the room is a bit noisy (you can hear hallway noise and next room). But for a short stay, it was perfect!

I sent an email to your team informing them that I would be arriving early at your hotel. I requested an early check-in and was informed that it would be possible for a fee of 700 Thai baht, which I agreed to. However, I ended up waiting in the lobby with my wife and infant for a total of three hours before being given a room. This experience was stressful for us, as the delay was due to your room cleaning staff taking a long time.

  • 5/5 Tony B. 11 months ago on Google
We stayed here in Sept 22 and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The room was fine with no issues. The cleaners were really helpful to re-arrange a time for it to be cleaned during the day; And, the reception staff were exemplary. The food was excellent - I am farang and my partner is Thai and we both enjoyed the choice available. Oh, and if per chance there is a Chinese family reading this who were there at the time, I am so sorry for taking the pool ball from you. I really thought you had finished with it.

Good value of money, good location not far from BTS, many restaurants, local nearby. Riverside , nice pool. Room size and design are good. No sound proof, so you can hear when people walking, dropping thing on the floor. Overall good for money, for its location. Plenty of parking available.

Very good small and smart hotel, absolutly friendly and helpful staff. Qiet rooms with a good standard, floor needs some maintanence, small but perfect bathroom, TV missing language channel change option, so useless for english speaking people, comfotable bed for a good rest, chair for notebook work missing, breakfast delicious and good amount (staff asked friendly if I need more food) ๐Ÿ‘, price & service 5 Stars, Hope I can enjoy again

Family trip. Experience not good. Quite noisy as sound insulation is bad- I can hear clearly other room watching movie after 12pm. The bathroom fan is also pretty loud and I wait for around an hour before it stops. In short, good place to stay , bad place to sleep/rest.

I have stayed here many times over the last 10 years. You will get an average room at a fantastic location. The breakfast is really very good and you can eat it sitting beside the Chao Phraya River in the sun. Or you could bypass the breakfast and go straight to Singha on tap. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Nice and affordable hotel, beautiful garden on the river, nice swimming pool and good foods at the restaurant. Rooms are medium size but all good, i do prefer Riverview which cost slightly more only for the view as all the rooms are the same!

  • 4/5 LJ 1 year ago on Google
I like the view of the river, and sitting on their deck is quite pleasant. I find this Ibis pretty serviceable. It's good when traveling with kids. My kids love it honestly. Rooms are a good size, the pool is nice. Their family rooms are great if you can snag one. It's a good deal for the price. Not too impressed with their dinner, but their breakfast is pretty good and an amazing price. I'd recommend ordering something in for dinner or going out. Location can be difficult depending on what you plan to do in Bkk, as traffic crossing the river can be heavy. But it's close (walkable) to IconSiam which is a gorgeous mall, and not to far from the night market and carousel at Asiatique. You can also catch river taxis and avoid traffic.

The hotel is located in a great area along the river and close to 2 BTS stations. The inside is dated but the rooms are clean. The pool area is dirty with mud on the ground around the pool, the sun chairs smell of urine and sweat. The breakfast buffet is limited for 150 baht plus a service fee.

  • 3/5 ะ•ะบะฐั‚ะตั€ะธะฝะฐ ๏ฟฝ. 3 years ago on Google
Stuff at reception is very friendly and helpful. Weiters are pretty nice. But the politic of the hotel is not friendly. For example, many costumers complaining that there is only one spot to charge the phone in every room and its miles away from the bed. And the bed is the only comfy place in the room to sit, lay and relax. Chair and sitting zone is very hard and uncomfortable. First thing I did when I seat there I hit my back. At reception I asked for the extension to charge my devices as I stayed there 3 nights, receptionist told me that every costumer complaining about the electricity plugs but they donโ€™t provide cabel extension. And hotel really need some renovations, but they dont want to upgrade their rooms and make guests happy. And one more thing. They advertised breakfast buffet which you will not get, unfortunately. They give you paper with kind of menu and you need to choose. They bring you plates covered with plastic, so, its all about covid new government rules as stuff told me. Breakfast cost 150 bath and its ok price, if those potatoes and mushrooms were warm and fresh, only omlet was hot and tasty. After 6 pm government rules stopped to work at this hotel and dinner was served as a normal buffet, of course because its 790 bath per person. Also nobody ask to wear mask (but in the morning it was very strict and I was told to wear mask even I was alone in the restaurant ). About location. It is perfect if you want to visit Iconsiam, but the rest of the areas very difficult to get because of the crazy traffic. Next time I wil choose the other side of the river for sure.

Pros: Location is Great. Bed Linens, Towels, Rooms and other areas / materials were clean and odor free. Breakfast variety was good and delicious. Waiting area and Lobby was good enough. Cons: Housekeeping and Front Office staffs needs more training and experience. Not up to the expectations. Toilet was very small with least toiletries. Breakfast spread was mostly same everyday.

Clean and big room. We got one overlooking the river and pool. The double bed is actually 2 singles pushed together. Service is very good. The pool is amazing and there are massage services by the pool. Hotel prices were good. Easy walk out to eating places and massage shops.

Located in centre of city, not easy to get Indian food options around. Also hotel did not have any Indian food options in breakfast, you just have to survive on breads and few bakery items. The rooms were decent, there is a option of a family room which has extra kids bunker bed, however rooms weren't cleaned even on request.

One of the best locations in Bangkok. Lush gardens on the riverside, decent sized pool, lovely staff, yummy breakfast and affordable and also yummy dinner. Had a family room with a bunk bed for the kids, room has a Play Station! Itโ€™s a little dated, but all of the above more than make up for it plus itโ€™s an absolute steal! 7/11 and Sena Fest mall a short walk away. Would definitely book this again.
