Absolutely to die for! The trick is to give the vermicelli a good stir as the goodness of the gravy is at the bottom of the bowl! We each had the crab and prawn serving each. We went back for a second dinner during our Bangkok trip.

Tips to eat at our #1 fave crab/prawn noodle shop: 1- to avoid queue at night, try coming at 8:30pm. 2- prawn and crab version does have its differences. But both are delicious! Just choose whichever seafood you prefer. 3- the clay pot already comes with 1 portion of glass noodle. But it is NOT enough. Pls order at least 1-2x more glass noodle per clay pot. It’s really worth it. 4- when your clay pot comes, remember to scrap the sauce at the bottom of the pot. That’s where all the flavor is, and mix it all together with the glass noodle. 5- if you want a medium or big crab, call in advance to reserve. They usually run out pretty quickly.

Worth the trip to travel to this place. Suggest you visit this place when at icon siam. We enjoyed the cockles, prawn and crab claypot. Went at 5pm and there was short queue. Service was prompt. 2 floors. Toilet was clean. Food was delicious. Just wish they had larger crabs.

We had the crab and prawns to share. Everything was perfectly cooked and so tasty. Make sure you scrape the bottom of the pot to get all the sauce into the noodles! The restaurant was so clean and staff were friendly.

My second visit to this restaurant in a year, I love their roe crab claypot very much. The crab is fresh and the glass noodles is very delicious with the flavor of fresh crab, black pepper and leeks. But the mussels is just so-so. Shorter waiting time of this branch comparing to the one on street. Highly recommend to the seafood lovers!

Nov 2023: arrived here via grab and there was a short queue of people. It was about 4.30pm. Ordered the crab with glass noodles and prawn with glass noodles. Both were fabulous. The highlight was the glass noodles. To save time for sightseeing and other food (as it takes more time to eat crab), would recommend ordering just the prawn with extra glass noodles. We were not sure which was the right Somsak claypot to visit - this or the one at the road side. Perhaps will try the other one another day.

The prawn noodles and crab noodles were amazing , the seafood were very fresh. Service was very good as the kind working lady was helping us to get to our grab vehicle during the heavy downpour. Highly recommended to try this shop out.
