After
exactly
one
year,
this
was
our
second
stay
at
this
hotel.
Overall,
we
can
confirm
the
impressions
from
last
year.
Therefore,
I
would
like
to
briefly
reiterate
the
things
that
highlight
the
hotel
positively
and
mention
aspects
that
were
not
as
favorable:
The
hotel
is
truly
in
a
great
location.
Just
a
few
weeks
ago,
another
shopping
mall
(EmSpere)
was
opened
right
next
to
the
hotel.
Together
with
the
existing
malls
(EMQuartier
and
Emporium),
this
hotel
is
the
ideal
starting
point
for
extensive
shopping
tours.
The
BTS
station
is
also
only
about
a
10-minute
walk
away,
with
a
free
shuttle
service
offered.
In
the
Benchasiri
Park,
also
located
right
next
to
the
hotel,
one
can
relax
and
unwind.
Exiting
the
hotel
through
a
side
entrance
leads
directly
to
the
park.
The
breakfast
is
exceptional.
It
feels
like
being
at
an
Asian
food
market
or
on
a
small
world
tour.
There
is
everything,
ranging
from
really
good
European
bread
and
pastries
to
Indian
and
Asian
specialties,
and
a
variety
of
fruits
and
salads.
Unfortunately,
the
ambiance
in
the
restaurant
cannot
match
this.
It
is
always
very
loud
and
bustling.
The
Executive
Lounge
for
status
guests
is
very
spacious
(a
second
lounge
is
even
opened
during
peak
times).
There
are
soft
drinks
and
hot
beverages
available
throughout
the
day.
During
the
Happy
Hour,
an
extensive
buffet
is
offered.
The
staff
in
the
lounge
are
always
friendly
and
helpful.
As
are
all
the
staff
in
the
hotel,
very
friendly
and
guest-oriented.
The
rooms
are
quite
nice
but
have
aged
a
bit.
A
renovation
will
likely
be
necessary
in
the
coming
years.
Unlike
our
visit
a
year
ago,
the
hotel
was
almost
fully
booked
this
time.
Accordingly,
the
"personal
touch"
that
we
enjoyed
last
year
has
somewhat
diminished.
Unfortunately,
as
Marriott
Bonvoy
Status
members,
we
did
not
receive
a
real
upgrade.
Instead,
we
were
gifted
2,000
points.
While
a
nice
gesture,
it
does
not
reflect
the
equivalent
value
of
a
missed
upgrade
(which,
of
course,
is
not
guaranteed).
