Excellent place to stay if you are after a traveller accommodation "old school". Inexpensive, clean rooms and a lovely pool as a bonus. The food has been good too, in particular if you ask for authentic Thai spicyness. Extra points from my side as I was allowed to store my bicycle and gear for free while I had to attend a wedding down in Chiang Mai

Amazing place to stay and enjoy an awesome swimming pool and also eat an amazing food. The owners are quite friendly as well. And for those who like Yoga, they have classes at the hotel.

If you have 2-3 extra bucks per night in your budget, go somewhere else. Lets start with the good points : - Good Restaurant with everything at disposal (beer etc) - Small Swimming pool even though you shouldn’t expect privacy (it’s close the entrance, and everybody is there) - Rooms are clean Then what we disliked : - Old rooms with the worst sound isolation I’ve seen. You feel like you are in the same room as everybody else. If you can’t sleep with noise, you are in trouble. (We were supposed to stay 3 nights, ended up leaving after 1 night… 4-5 Kids shouting and running around until 10 pm and starting 8 am…) - Mosquitoes…….. the most aggressive we’ve encountered so far.

You get what you pay for. Rooms are Thai style, rustic but they are fine if you are in right mindset. The pool and the shared space set it apart with restaurant area really comfortable and welcoming and a nice place to sit and eat and relax. My kids and I loved our morning breakfasts next to the pond full of cool fish gently swimming about. Very peaceful spot. Really liked it.

Chiang Rai doesn’t have too many options for accommodation, but this guest house suited me perfectly. It’s set a little out of town, but this doesn’t really matter. It’s on a quiet street. The rooms are simple but sufficient and importantly, clean. There’s plenty of seating outside by the pool, which is clean and inviting! The owners speak good English and cook delicious meals. The breakfasts were good throughout my stay, I had eggs on toast and banana pancakes, smoothies and fruit plates. My tip is that there are two water refill stations on the street close by, and fairly close to an excellent bicycle hire shop, called Fat Free Cycles.

Very good stay Better with a scooter The value for money is one of the best we tried !! Recommended !! If the bike company who are working with them could smile a little bit more , that would be perfect.

Food is really nice and so affordable too. The swimming pool is a plus and for a guest house on a budget it is a really good place to stay a few nights.

I gave them 2 stars less because they didnt give me a washed bedsheet and pillow covers. Even the blanket and blanket cover was used. I found white and black hair there (probably from previous guests who slept there). Im a bald guy and i dont have hair. So from where these hair came from? The pillow cover was smelling so bad that i removed it and throwed it and put my T shirt on the pillow and slept. How can they do this to their guests who pays them what they demanded. The owner cum receptionist does not smile at all. It takes nothing to give a smile or behave friendly to your guests. Rest all seems okay here. But need to work on wash rooms. Change the toilet seat 1st and get a professional cleaner to clean the WC. White toilet seat would be good to notice if it is clean or dirty. Blue and red looks ugly. Please improve the interior of the washroom. Not comfortable to use. Best part of the Hotel is their swimming pool. Clean and nice. Another good side is they have their own parking space for 1 or 2 cars. The restaurant is also good but when they gave me salad it had alot of dirts on it. Probably they didnt wash it with clean water. I changed my hotel next day after the dirty bedsheet experience. I cant sleep one more night there. Luckily i found a great hotel 10 minutes away in similar price. I dont think i will ever go back to this hotel again. I got much better deal.

We stayed here only one night because next one our room has been booked and owner offered only bungalow for unreasonable price. There is pool but we hadn't time to test it. We arrive quite late but the room wasn't clean after previous guests. The staff cleaned it very fast though. It's located a bit far from main streets, so no restaurants or even 7-11 around. Only very cheap laundry.

The room does not have air conditioning, I received soap when I asked for it, there is sometimes hot water, no one asked me to clean the room or change the sheets or towels. You have to pay for everything tea, coffee even hot water. Very poor accommodation. The location for the city is good. I am not satisfied and will certainly not stay there next time.

We stayed for 2 nights as a group of 4 people, they receive you with great kindness and hospitality. They have a kitchen for breakfast, lunch and dinner, the food is very cheap and exquisite, the portions are very good, the menu is varied and there are many options. The pool looks very clean and the atmosphere is calm and familiar. The rooms are according to the price of the place.

Great Guesthouse! We really enjoyed our stay. The family is super kind and nice, rooms are clean and spacious and you can eat in their restaurant which is absolutely affordable! There is one small deduction: the rooms are quite noisy. Unfortunately we had bad luck with our neighbors 2 nights in a row. They were on the phone late into the night on the terrace and we could hear every word.

Lots of broken items, noisy electric appliances, but the owners are very kind. Please provide soap or shower gel and repair the small things.

For its price it is ok. The owners are very nice people, not too much interactive but speaking English. The place has nice food-restaurant and a nice energy. Let’s move to the rooms. 0 sound isolation and I was unlucky having a neighbor snoring. Felt like he was snoring in the same room. The sheets were clean but the toilet was not clean and the shower was with cold water. It is good for one two nights.

It was okay, the pool was a nice touch. The staff was very welcoming and spoke English well. The room seemed a but dirty and so did the bathroom - also there was not enough pressure in it for us to shower properly.

Loved it. Crazy good price and super nice owners.

We loved this place! We had a room with three beds as expected and private toilet. They provide towels. The pool is great! And the common area is nice too. We enjoyed the food there! The drinkable water is not provided. There are places to eat also in the area. We liked the walk to the river. Definitely the pool has a point when you go with kids! Owners are very friendly!!

This is a good place, accommodation with comfortable beds and pool very nice host, restaurant, tour organization, motor rental🙂

I have stayed here 4 nights and have extended for another week. Very happy with everything. It is definitely good value for money. Location wise, it would help to have a bicycle or a scooter if you like to or have a need to go into town frequently. The restaurant is open from 0700 to 2100 hrs and there are street food stalls close by inc a very good congee breakfast stall. 11/1/22 after 37 days here, I think it gives you an indication how Chian GH has hit the sweet spot for me as a solo traveller in covid enforced exile from Perth, Australia.

Very nice athmosphire, nice people and sweet garden and pool. The rooms are quit old, but for this price are good. Hot water in the shower. They also have nice resturant and can help arrange hiking. Perfect for backpaking.

This place ws great, the hosts were lovely and for the price it was amazing. The rooms were clean, however a little "rustic" but the Aircon was good, the bed was ok and the shower worked well. For the price this is an amazing place to stay, food on site and beer on site, pool was also clean and lots of people staying here when we were here.
