ILFIGO,
located
in
Khobar
City
Walk,
Al
Khobar,
is
an
Italian
culinary
haven
that
promises
an
unforgettable
experience.
Stepping
into
the
warm
ambiance,
I
was
welcomed
by
the
charismatic
Chef
Lorenzo,
a
native
of
Roma,
whose
passion
for
life
translates
seamlessly
into
his
dishes.
The
evening
began
with
a
personal
tour
of
the
kitchen,
setting
the
tone
for
what
was
to
come.
The
effort
that
Chef
Lorenzo
put
into
guiding
us
through
the
menu
took
our
experience
to
a
whole
new
level.
It
kicked
off
with
the
'Truffle
Risotto,'
a
masterpiece
that
deserves
a
perfect
10/10
rating.
The
marriage
of
truffle
mushrooms,
tender
chicken,
and
creamy
risotto
inside
a
wheel
of
Parmigiano
Reggiano
was
nothing
short
of
exquisite.
The
flavours
were
really
brought
into
its
own
thanks
to
the
cheese,
and
the
Parmigiano
Reggiano
shell
added
a
unique
spectacle.
At
SR.
88,
this
dish
offers
remarkable
value
and
a
bit
of
theatre.
Next,
the
'Penne
Pesto'
showcased
Chef
Lorenzo's
dedication
to
freshness
and
taste.
The
combination
of
al
dente
penne,
vibrant
pesto
sauce,
succulent
chicken,
sundried
tomatoes,
and
crunchy
walnuts
was
an
explosion
of
flavours.
Priced
at
SR.
74,
it
was
a
standout
choice
that
celebrated
the
essence
of
Italian
cuisine.
The
'Crispy
Calamari'
arrived
as
a
delightful
interlude,
marinated
in
milk
and
fried
till
golden
and
served
with
zesty
Lemon
Mayo.
While
the
tenderness
and
crispiness
were
commendable,
a
slightly
more
generous
portion
would
have
elevated
the
experience
further.
At
SR.
64,
it
left
a
pleasant
taste
but
a
desire
for
more.
The
'Parmigiana'
pizza
followed
suit,
boasting
a
light,
crispy
crust
adorned
with
grilled
eggplant,
burrata,
and
Parmesan.
This
creation,
priced
at
SR.
80,
showcased
Chef
Lorenzo's
finesse
in
balancing
flavours,
resulting
in
a
sophisticated
yet
comforting
dish.
A
point
to
note,
their
pizzas
are
award
winning
so
don’t
miss
out
on
ordering
yourself
a
winner.
Finally,
the
'Amalfi
Lemon
Tart'
rounded
off
the
culinary
adventure.
While
priced
at
SR.
49,
the
creamy
lemon
tart
with
Italian
meringue
was
a
refreshing
treat.
The
only
hiccup
was
a
slightly
inconsistent
base,
but
it
did
little
to
overshadow
the
overall
delightful
experience.
Throughout
the
evening,
our
server
Gerard
and
the
rest
of
the
staff
were
not
only
attentive
but
also
exuded
warmth.
Their
hospitality
further
enriched
our
anniversary
dinner,
leaving
us
with
cherished
memories.
This
experience
was
made
possible
by
the
recommendation
of
'Alex
Lacoangeli,'
and
for
that,
we're
immensely
grateful.
ILFIGO,
under
the
skilled
guidance
of
Chef
Lorenzo,
proved
to
be
a
gem
of
a
restaurant,
where
passion
meets
culinary
artistry.
A
visit
to
this
Italian
haven
is
not
just
a
meal;
it's
an
experience
that
beckons
you
back
for
more.
