The food is delicious and the staff are super friendly - the chef actually came out to have a chat and to explain the items on their special board to me! We tried barramundi & chips, spinach & feta gozlem, Blue Oscar (the most tasty hollandaise sauce) and my favourite their special Southern fried fish and cajun style potato salad...the best!

Saltwater Cafe is the place to go if you’re after a high quality local seafood meal in Kiama with great friendly service. This is the second time coming to this eatery and it was just as sensational as I remembered. I ordered the cold and hot platters (with lobster as an extra) which can easily feed 3-4 people generously. Had a lovely chat with the chef who is very knowledgeable about all the seafood. And is serious about serving up high grade seafood. The highlight for me was the oysters which are source from Narooma. They are tiny but packed with creamy sweetness and an absolute delight to eat. The tiger prawns and mussels were sweet and juicy and the crab salad seasoned very well. The salad was very refreshing and a nice accompaniment to the cold platter. The hot patter was also a delight. The hoki fish cocktails were coated and seasoned to perfection. Calamari rings also lightly crumbed and cooked just right. This seafood fry-up is an example of how to do it exceptionally well. The half lobster was served warm and was very succulent. The accompanying sauce was sweet and zesty and paired really well with the flesh. Everything was prepared with care and high professionalism. I highly recommend Seawater Cafe for any foodies visiting Kiama. Even their coffee was really really good. Thank you for an awesome lunch!

She was so sweet and she even told us that the seafood was Halal! We got their recommended sea vista family meal which costs $95, but was WORTH it!! 😋🌹😍 It included, calamari rings, 3 way fish (crumbed, battered and grilled), chips, tiger prawns, battered prawns, squids, mix salad, watermelon slices!, tartare sauce and lemon wedges! 🌹😍🔥 Stunning vibes and decoration! Active and kind service! Food was incredible, it felt like I was eating the ocean! 🌹🥰🔥😍💐 High-quality seafood that you cannot get in the city of Sydney!

One of the best fish and chips we’ve tried. We went here as a big group and enjoyed all of our orders. All of the staff are accomodating, from getting us tables, serving the food, and granting our side requests. Staffs always ensure that we’re having a good time and enjoying our food. We’ll go back here once we visit again Kiama.

We arrived when they are about to close, so takeaway only, but we can still take the outdoor seating. Ordered the 2 fishes pack, giant portion, surprisingly good. Fishes are tendered, chips and calamaris are crunchy. Not a big fan of the salad but still pretty happy with the food.

Really friendly place. They even loaned me a usb cable so I could charge my phone. Food was fresh and tasty. I had crumbed barramundi and chips, with a carrot cake muffin for dessert. The only complaint I had was there wasn't enough tartar sauce for the portion size. But overall, a really good place to stop for a quick bite or takeaway.

First time travelling to Kiama, very welcoming and friendly staff. Food is delicious and generous serving. Will definitely recommend to my friends.

What a lovely lunch! I had the seafood basket. The batter was light and not greasy. The serve was generous. My friend enjoyed the grilled Barra a lot. The homemade coleslaw is a nice touch. Will definitely be back next time I am in Kiama.

The host was amazing! The food was incredible I had the Aussie burger. It was sooooo good. The patty was perfection, and you can't go wrong with bacon as always. Also OMG the muffins!

The food was ok and to be honest, not seasoned well, if at all. The hot seafood platter required you to have to season it and similarly the chips were soggy and tasteless. The cold seafood platter had some sort of dressing doused all over the dish which is part was tolerable. The problem was that both dishes had fruits stuck in between the seafood. If you’re not going to eat them then they’re great for presentation but if they were meant to be eaten, the flavours of the fruits and the dressing do not mix well at all. The mango smoothie and chocolate milkshake were both quite nice. The service was also quite chaotic and messy. They served us our food but had made us wait at least 10mins before they could give us any cutlery. The price of our meal was also quite dear in our opinion.

We ordered the Hot n Cold Seafood Platter + Grilled Seafood Plate. The owner and staff were very accommodating with our group. The Seafood was tasty - fresh mussels and oysters, well grilled Salmon and Hoki fillets accompanied by juicy baby octopus!

This place was amazing! I loved everything, especially the food. It was a busy day and we were expecting to wait a while for our food but they were very fast. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great, I had a chicken burger with the peri peri mayo and I want to have it again. The only thing that I have to warn any prospective diners is the pigeons, but that's not the cafe's fault 🤣

My fiancé and I were looking for a spot to eat in Kiama, but Saltwater was the only one that that had a grilled chicken burger he could eat. I ordered the old school burger, which reminded of my childhood where I’d go to the local fish and chip shop and order the burger from there. It was delicious. Staff were friendly and the food arrived in a very short time. The only thing I’d say is that I would have liked a slightly bigger portion of chips with the burger, but otherwise I really enjoyed the atmosphere of the premises. Will definitely come back soon.

Fish ok but disappointed when these yellow morsels are called "chips". Serve up real potato chips please and not these greasy has-beens.

Lovely food and wonderful service. We were celebrating my mother's 86th birthday lunch and nothing was too much trouble. We were warmly welcomed and looked after. The chef came to wish her a happy birthday and then asked her to choose a muffin which was beautifully served with cream and a candle. She was delighted and we really appreciated such kind attention. I also appreciated the gluten free options. Highly recommend this cafe.

Ordered the saltwater basket with the blue Oscar, food was tasty and flavourful. The fish in the blue Oscar was so soft and doesn’t require much chewing. Service and ambience was top notch, highly recommended if passing by kiama!

10 out of 10!! I had the best lunch with my friends. The owner is and her team is so friendly, which have made our time here much more memorable!! Definitely will come back again and try different dishes.

Had lunch here on a very busy public holiday. Staff were very attentive and friendly. Food was great also! Special mention to Gulcin who took extra care of our table of 6. Will be sure to return here when I’m in Kiama again!

Amazing experience! The food was absolutely delicious. Seafood was so fresh including the yummy homemade muffins perfect for afternoon tea. Staff are friendly & welcoming especially the owner herself Gucci. Loved her! Best of all everything is Halal!!! Plenty of street parking & Lots of space affordable must try.

We went there on the Easter holiday , of course it’s busy. The foods was fresh and delicious. The beverage however was less than delightful, the coffee was less cafe and more petrol station quality, my husband’s thick shake was more milkshake with lumps of icecream and unmixed syrup . The service quality was lovely.

I like fresh and crunch coleslaw salad. The battered prawn and the calamari is the best. There are a lot more than fish and chips. Lovely place to visit in Kiama.
