I loved my stay at ONOMO hotel in Kigali. All of the staff I have met were SUPER FRIENDLY and accommodating, the breakfast was amazing (although the coffee was only average) and the location is really central and a good starting point for exploring Kigali. The view over the city from the terrace is also pretty great :) I can definitely recommend staying there a lot!!

This hotel was a nice and interesting place to visit. It had a beautiful view from the restaurant and pool area, especially at night. There was a lot to choose from on the menu, and most foods were tasty. The rooms were well furnished and finished with almost all you needed, less a fridge in some cases, a kettle is available to you for instant coffee or tea, a laundry service and well as a gym and various meeting rooms. The more standard rooms are on the smaller side but just big enough to keep you from complaining. The pool is also o the smaller side with a depth of 1.5m all around. Staff are however the best part of the hotel as they are friendly and helpful, but then seems all the people are this way as well. All in all, a great hotel for a getaway as its in the quiet part of town and has access to a tour group in house that can get you where u need to go.

Overall, I was satisfied. I loved the view from the pool and restaurant. The staffs were friendly and helpful.

The Service is very slow. The food very bad quality. We ordered a meat platter for sharing, waited 1,5 hour and food was simply bad. The steak was like a wood board, chicken was dry and mashed potatoes were cold. Won't go there again

The food was quite good. The room was sufficient (clean and had a good bed), but it was small and oddly unfinished. Our issue was the service around quarantine though. We booked via email as a quarantine hotel (back when quarantine was just one day). Our plane landed at 4am and we spent half an hour at the reception debating as they said we needed to checkout by 11am. Then the reception proceeded to call us multiple times in the morning asking about when we'd checkout and even came around for room service at 9am. The hotel didn't seem busy at all and it was quite stressful being continually woken up on a few hours of sleep.

Onomo is a comfortable well-located hotel in Kigali. The staff are eager to help, but this isn’t matched by actual service. Orders for food, for example, take at least an hour (with one order taking almost 2 hours with no explanation). This unfortunately made the stay frustrating. The hotel is saved by its comfortable rooms, varied restaurant menu and brilliant views.

As much as they said check out extension is upon availability, they kept saying the rooms were booked only to know later that it wasn't true. I felt like I was literally chased out of the room🙄You can do better by not Makin it all and most about cash. But atleast the staff were nice

When I ordered for mushroom soup I was told they dont have I ordered vegatable soup it took 34 minutes ,come no butter for the bread . Ooo Main course come chicken wings and plantain. No source ,no vegatable so dry a meal

Rooms are clean, bed is comfortable but the shower door does not close properly in all the rooms. The bar has a great view however the extremely loud music in the evening spoils the atmosphere

When we arrived we were told that our room had been cancelled. We booked months ahead of the trip. They found us a room but charged walk in prices. The hotel is really nice, the people are lovely Shout out to the omelette lady. The staff are really wonderful just never been anywhere where they cancel your room ahead of arrival

Nice location, clean and comfortable. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The views from the terrace and the infinity pool are very nice. It has small gym with basic equipment but that may be enough for most occasional users. Breakfast offers a variety of cold and hot food from the buffet, or egg dishes cooked to order. The dinner menu is very good. The steak is superb and the portions are generous. It was my second stay there and I'll be back when I'm in Kigali.

So, we hit up the Onomo Hotel bar/restaurant and, to be honest, it was kind of a letdown. The service was crazy slow – had three different waiters, and they took our order twice. We practically had to do a dance to get our drinks. To top it off, they hit us with a surprise when we got the bill. Apparently, the small bowl of guacamole we ordered wasn't on the menu, so they swapped it with a salad and slapped on a whopping 9k charge. Not cool, right? This was our last time giving Onomo Hotel a shot. We expected better service, especially considering the hotel's rep. But, alas, we left feeling a bit ripped off and definitely not planning a return trip anytime soon. Update: we recently went back and service still hasn’t improved - what a bummer.

Great clean and quite place for a work stay. Nice and tasty food with s decent variety for breakfast. I enjoyed my stay here though got freaked out by the shaking of the building on the fourth floor, the incidence the staff on duty denied experiencing but the following day staff explained there a quake in DRC which was felt here.

This remark is for the restaurant: nice views but more than an hour for a simple salad…the kitchen and waiters (and theres more than enough) are clearly not well trained or supervised, possibly poorly paid too, you can do better please

Booked a room at this hotel months in advance of a conference, and even emailed the hotel after booking online, and they confirmed my reservation. Right before the trip, they cancelled my reservation unexpectedly and I had to scramble to find a room in a different hotel last minute. Their excuse was that "they informed online booker agents/online booking to close the space, but I don't know what happened". I find this hard to believe since they confirmed my reservation over email after I booked, and if they knew it was full they should have informed me at the time of booking. Would NOT recommend booking with this hotel, they clearly don't know how to manage a very basic booking process. Very unreliable and terrible customer service.

Onomo Hotel Kigali is a great place to stay if you are looking at spending quality time in Rwanda. We stayed at the Hotel during our study tour.

The hotel is located in one of the most sought for neighbourhoods in Kigali - Kiyovu - close to the Kigali central business district andbother areas of interesttomost visitors. It is beautifully constructed with a wonderful view from the restaurant and the pool. The exterior design is awesome. The staff are generally friendly from the reception to the waitresses and room service. It is not recommended to visit the restaurant when there are events by the poolside though. The waiters and kitchen staff can get overwhelmed and your order can take much longer than you are willing to wait for. The rooms are very small - and a bit pricey in that context.The design of the rooms is also weird - especially the sink, the toilet, the shower and the closets all look bizarre and are inconvenient. I later learned that most Onomo hotels in other parts of the continent are also known for their smaller size rooms. Cleanliness was an issue on our arrival as we found hair on our bedsheets. The reception took corrective measures immediately as we informed them. The gym was way below par with very few old equipments and the food was average. As a breakfast person, I was not moved by the quality and variety of breakfast items, they can surely do better. I tried their burgers and pastas as well. They have live music sessions in the evenings, I enjoyed some good performances by young Rwandan musicians. I would come again.

Onomo-kigali was a great experience. But has limited space. No gym, sauna,or spa spa,hopefully these can be introduced in the long run. The service though was awesome in all mannerisms. Attendants are alert full time and ready to serve. Did u mention the view? Great scenary Worth a try

My stay at this property has a wonderful one, the rooms are clean very roomy environment eco friendly.

The management thought it was great for a guest to tell me to leave the bar because I'm Nigerian in the 21st century. Poor I had to check out 2 days earlier than my check out date.

This review is just for the hotel bar. The service there is literally non existent. I waited for 30+ minutes at my seat and the staff continually ignored me. I finally gave up and left. They apparently need to both hire more people and also get a management team in place that trains the staff on basic customer service.

Comfortable hotel in a great location at a decent price. The highlight of the place is the infinity pool and poolside bar/lounge. The rooms are decent and very clean. The staff is helpful and polite.

I'm here now. Airport pickup was great and my flight was almost 2 hours late. 3am and they waited for me. Lovely hotel. A small issue but they went above and beyond with resolution. The food is AMAZING. The bar at night is jamming and a very good cocktail. I'll be staying whenever I visit Rwanda. Thanks for the hospitality!! Lena

The view from this hotel is magnificent. Stayed here two nights and the breakfast was same both mornings. I would have loved more options. The beds are uncomfortable and very small. Overall, it was okay.

Onomo hotel has one of the best ambience and professional luxury hotel feel. Ijuru Restaurant and Lounge have a great ambiance, great view of half of Kigali city and professional service. Great for an evening chill out.

Onomo's views are just fantastic ( I mean the whole of kigal is gorgeous) The breakfast was awesome The restaurant area linked to infinity pool is 10 over 10.

The location was super Beautiful, the views of the hills, was soothing. Staff was super friendly, however, Communication can be tough for some. English is nit first language. Breakfast was top notch 😋. Loved the entire atmosphere. And the Art of the decor. I will definitely come back.

Was there for dinner and live music. The meat platter is quite good, but service was not good. The staff seemed overwhelmed and there was only one card machine being used so paying the bill was a problem. The Restaurant manager tried to pass of 2 warm cup cakes drizzled with chocolate sauce as cheescake. He did not know what cheesecake was and was too proud to admit it when I complained and challenged him.

What i love most about Onomo hotels is the decoration with the Afro touch. Good ambiance with the pool. I enjoyed the buffet breakfast and nice customer service
