Location - Hill view is located approximately 15min away from Kigali airport. It’s conveniently positioned for business travelers who work in financial services. The CBD is a 10min walk away from the hotel. Service - The hotel staff were courteous, welcoming and helpful. Rooms - I stayed at the hotel apartment. The kitchen, dining area and sitting room were really dusty. Beddings and towels in the bathroom were okay…Furnishings are also pretty old school. Consideration may be made to change the carpets. The surrounding area is pretty quiet and serene. Food - breakfast options were really limited. This was mainly cereal, bread, a boiled egg, fruit, coffee/tea and local food. I had dinner once at the hotel - the meal was average.

As a large group of volunteers working in Rwanda since 2006, we rented 3 apartments at Hill View. After booking months in advance and paying half of the total price as a deposit, Hill View tried to charge us twice as much upon check in. Despite having all the paperwork and emails as proof of the price agreement, it took two days of back and forth negotiations before they finally conceded to the original price. We had to threaten to call the investigation board. We pre-booked for two months for two groups of people - 1st group in October and second in November. They insisted on taking the room keys for the 1 day in between groups. When the second group arrived and took the same apartments, all the food, drinks, kitchen supplies left by the first group for the second group were gone. It was close to $100 USD in provisions, essentially stolen by the hotel staff. This hotel is dishonest and tries to change the arrangements despite prior agreements. They took from us food, drinks, and kitchen stuff. We will never use them again and I would not recommend to anyone. The apartments are nice and the restaurant staff are great but the headaches with the front desk and management are too much. Never again.

Stayed here briefly, staff was incredibly courteous. The rooms are clean, o e thing they need to change is the TVs!

Our stay was booked for us thru the company we work for. Service was good, room was small but neat and clean. Food at the restaurant was good as well. However we did not enjoy the stay for the following reasons - 1) the bathroom has no extraction fan, only a tiny window opening into the passage. Whenever we opened the window for fresh air the staff would push it closed. Due to this the bathroom had a mouldy smell. 2) We were on the ground floor, it was very noisy! They busy with construction which started around 7 in the morning. Not nice being woken up to hammers and banging on the wall, especially on a Saturday morning!! 3) There was a terrible sewage smell coming from the basement parking leading straight into the room in the evenings/early morning. 4) Every evening during dinner there were one or two ladies sitting around trying to get the men's attention. One of the ladies did it to our business colleague, however he ignored her and she eventually turned her attention to another man. This was an uncomfortable thing to experience. We doubt we will return. It is well positioned but there are plenty other hotels in the area.

That's a fabulous hotel within Kigali city. Super tasty food with a nice serene and quiet environment. The rooms are super. Watch out for your bumber though when entering and exiting the driveway.

Clean, new building and friendly staff. Located close to Kigali city, barely a five minute walk to reach the UTC in town. Nice bars and even clubs close by. + They offer a free shuttle to and from the airport. - For >100 Dollars per night you'd expect a larger breakfast. The available items were fabulous, though.

Small cozy restaurant but the food was terrible. Wouldn't recommend it to be honest. The place brights up nicely in the night though.
