Beautiful windmills! Absolutely a must see for visitors of the Netherlands. Take a nice stroll along the river. Parking: you can directly park infront it for 15€ per day. Otherwise you can try to find a paekibf slot in the town and walk there. Entry: there are no entrance fee except for the museum. With the museum ticket you can visit the windmills inside.

Beautiful place to see while visiting Netherlands, historical windmills, nice place to have a walk, cycle by bike or enjoy little picnic. also Possible to see inside of the windmill and learn more about them. Not far from Amsterdam. Definitely worth to visit and enjoy the view. Near by restaurants serving refreshments, also parking place available.

The complete trip to Kinderdijk includes the trip to this windmill also. This one serves as a museum and is accessible to visitors. A tradition well preserved and worth a visit to learn and explore. Picturesque and well located, access is easy and well documented. Good weather means a good walk is recommended else the boat trip from the ticket sales restaurant is well.worth it to. Must do

Lovely and well maintained windmill. Be aware that the steps are very steep and unsuitable for limited or restricted mobility persons. Great to see how life really was in the windmills and to see them in action. Definitely worth the ticket price

About 26% of the Netherlands is below the sea level and the windmills were used to pump the water out and keep the land dry. It is very appreciating that the mills are still preserved and used to educate the current generation about the challenges Dutch people faced and about their work in water management. Dutch water management is one of the best in the world and this is just a small but an important example of it.
