Horrible management! Is surprising how they handle customers and food took over 35min and it was cold had to tell manager to please make my food fresh! There is a mess in the kitchen! I traveled from houston and chose to come here due to we don't have it anymore! But wow this is embarrassing for such a great burger place!

I have been standing here for 20 minutes waiting for my drink and no one will help me. This chick went to get themgwogines and never came back. Food was done at 10:24 it is now 10:50 and I'm finally walking out with cold food and my drinks. Awesome. Never coming here again. So tried this place again and not only did they not give me my online order wouldn't talk to m husband on the phone who order it they gave me a cold burger and half filled fire. When I started telling them to talk to my husband they kept talking to me saying the wanted him there with his phone cause the order number wouldn't work or that it was set for pick up for 1am the next day them completely refused to help. This place is deity they act like hey don't understand what's going on and refuse to help anyone on. I hate going here. I avoid this place even for door dash orders.

Once they add the ability to give 0 stars I will come back and edit this review. I cannot believe how bad this place is. Almost 50 minutes to get 2 burgers and 2 fries - we saw the burgers sitting there just waiting, and by the time we received them they were cold. There were maybe 3-5 other people waiting for food in the restaurant. It smelled like toilet water and looked like a food fight had ensued for 12 hours prior to us arriving. Filthy, slow, cold, useless staff and just about the biggest disappointment in all of fast food history. I used to LOVE the brand, but if this is what it has become, shut it down and move on.

What the hell happened to steak and shake? There's no more servers. My fiancé and I had to go get our own food and drinks. They messed up our order 3 times in one meal, forgotten toppings, not enough toppings, m&m in a strawberry shake. The variety of shakes and food has also lessened. The staff that was inside looked so upset, no one was smiling. The only thing that they had going for them is that when they fixed the orders, the quality of the food was decent. Unfortunately we will not be returning to Steak and Shake.

Out here on vacation and one of my kids wanted to eat here, so off course we are gonna go, but we wish we hadn’t. I ordered at the drive thru, but when I come around I see that there are 3 cars pulled up to the side, waiting on their orders, this was a bad sign, but I had already placed order and my kid wanted this food. We waited over half an hour, you would think the food would have been hot, but the onion rings and French fries were soggy. The bacon cheeseburger mediocre. The worst part was that, the person who was taking orders was also preparing them, he had an attitude, he threw everything in a bag and had someone else hand it to me. The bag was greasy and no condiments were provided, what’s worst is that I’m not even sure he changed his gloves, after touching money, the register and whatever else he touched. Awful experience, we could have done without.

This place needs to be renamed. Shake! That's it. Just Shake! Because there is no Steak here. The burgers have gone way downhill! They are gross. And they definitely aren't made from Steak anything. This place is filthy and should be checked in on immediately. The bathroom is disgusting, and grime is found in every part of it from the sink, toilet, walls and floor. The food was basic, and the oil used for fried food needs changing yesterday. It's old and you can taste it with the food. The burgers are thrown together and have little flavor. The shake was very good, and they still have this down. The greeter was very nice and tried to make us comfortable. But the overall ordering on kiosks is good in theory if you clean up the kiosks. They are filthy and just spread bacteria. Steak and Shake has gone WAY downhill. The building is run down, the staff seem indifferent, and it's filthy. The General Manager needs to get in there and clean up. RIGHT NOW.

It is a fast food diner. If you want a burger, hot dog, milkshake, etc, it will work. It is no formal 5 course meal. Late night or hang over comfort food. Let's not make it something it is not. It is not health food. It is not fine dining. It isn't a place you might go just for the atmosphere. You can eat reasonably good food for a reasonable price.

I had a fantastic experience here. I was surprised to have a waiter take my order. Daniel provided exceptional service and the food was awesome. Came out fresh and hot. The shake was delightful. Huge value for the price charged. Gourmet fast food.

Been years since eating at S&S. Last time I wasn't disappointed but it was in Chicago. Had quick service here after placing my order on 1 of the 4 kiosks. Delicious food as I remembered with friendly staff and Clean establishment. Next time in I'm Orlando I'll be back!!!

Only 2 tables where being used. Every table that wasn't used was dirty. I went to ask for paper towels and bleach and the 2 employees who where talking to themselves completely ignored that I was there, they finished speaking with each other and both left to the back. Mind you, no one else was up at the counter, but me. Plus, the place wasn't busy at that moment. Finally the gentleman comes up, puts more food to cook and comes to me and asks me what I need, so I tell him, but he says he'll have someone clean them. Alright, I wait. The lady comes to clean the table with a wash cloth and I could tell the wash cloth wasn't clean because as she wipes the table there was a long piece of black hair on the cloth that was left on the table. She noticed and twisted the rag to pick it up. It took her a few tries and she did. Then she wiped the seats down and left. My daughter-in-law and I had the Frisco Melt, which they used so much butter on the bread that we just ate around it. Like always, the fries where perfect. My daughter had the Garlic Spread Double Steak Burger with no spread and she said it was 'alright'. However, she did eat everything from her plate. Plus her wife's and her had cheese fries with their meal and they enjoyed it very much.

How is I had more costumer service towards them then they did towards the costumers. The only nice one was the manager the woman not the guy. This employee over here laughing because they messed up my order. Then I wait 40 minutes for my order. On top of the 15 minutes for the initial Order. POOR COSTUMER SERVICE

Waited 10 minutes at the drive through with nobody else in line before my order was taken, I placed 2 separate orders and paid for them separately then was told to pull forward to wait and waited another 15 minutes before getting only the 2nd order and just a drink from the first order. I went inside to go get the rest of the order to once again wait another 10 or so minutes just to get my order completely wrong. This completely ruined my night. Once again this was all around 9pm and I was the only person in line, on person pulled out the drive through as I was pulling in that’s it. Ridiculous!

We don't have this chain where I live, but come here when visiting family. Plenty of fries with each order and burgers are cooked fresh. This restaurant is usually busy due to it being on the road to Disney. People from everywhere so the atmosphere reflects this. Shakes are always great on a hot day.

Disgusting bathrooms!!! Most dine in seats are ripped and very warm. Food seemed on point but the restaurant itself I will never step back into again. Yuck! How can you cook "clean & healthy" food in this environment? I hope the sink in the kitchen is better than the ones in the restrooms

Nice place for a quick bite of food without any frills or much contact with people. You order at a kiosk, get your own drink, and find your own seat. They call your number when the food is ready. The bacon cheeseburger and fries were good.

I went here even with the bad reviews and it was a bad decision. I ordered 4 meals online. We went there at the time it was supposed to be ready and they had us pull up and wait. We waited 20 mins so I decided to go in and there still didn’t seem close to having them ready. I canceled the order right there. I’d understand if they were busy but there was only a couple people inside which all seemed to have their food and only a couple cars went through drive through. Terrible service in my opinion.

We arrived near 12am…. December 03. The team received us like a preferred guests !!! Very nice hamburger. We appreciate. Thanks Steak n Shake !!!

Went to lunch 🍴 with my friend LC WE had a good time . The parking is great and big , so you will have no problem finding a parking spot . The staff is very very very nice . You self order and they bring your food to the table . Me and my friend had been going out all day toy hunting Yes we seem nerds and we love shopping for collectibles 🤓 and we got hungry and so we decided to stop 🛑 off and get lunch and it’s really did hit the spot. I had a burger 🍔 and 🍟 fries. The food was very enjoyable m, also the inside Of the restaurant is decorated amazing 😉 the only thing though is that the the bathroom 🚽 was a disaster . Customers was to see a clean bathroom and not creatures frok the black lagoon. That’s why I gave this place a 4/5. Comes check it for yourself. I would recommend this place. I made an online order and wanted a refund because my wife changed her mind and when I told the employees they helped me so much with everything that I needed! They did it with a smile and a quickness you don’t see anywhere really too. Please come to this store!

My family enjoyed the ease of ordering! The employees were very professional SMS helpful. Also the food was prepared in a timely manner. We loved our meals and the milkshakes were amazing! Highly recommend this steak and shake!

The restaurant is clean. We were greeted with a wonderful lady named Susan. She was so nice & very helpful. She also came to our table and making sure we have everything we need and that the food is good. I haven’t seen this service in a very long time and was so surprise that there’s one in Orlando. We are so happy we came here

Came here recently after not having gone to a steak 'n. Shake since 2014, I was surprised that there were no servers this time, and everything was touch screen automated by the front . You essentially order at a little kiosk whatever you wish to purchase, and pay on the pen pad, and then collect a ticket and wait for your order to be called out and you sit and eat. The unfortunately ran out of the chili during my visit, which I remember. I was quite fond of back in the day, but they offered to replace it with a large order of cheese fries. The milkshakes were, of course delicious and always up to my expectations.

If I could give 0 stars I would . I found multiple hairs in my fries and burger seriously disgusting pulling it out of my mouth . I don’t have black hair .

The food is the same good food that I've always hot from Steak n Shake, which is part of t he problem. They now less than counter service. You put your order in at a kiosk and you pick up your food at the counter when they call your number. Comes on disposable plates with plastic warehouse. Please bring back the servers, with real plates and silverware! The food is better than regular fast food and deserves better

There was only one vehicle in front of us at the drive thru and the parking lot was almost half empty so we figured it couldn’t take that long to get our food…. WRONG!!!! It took about ten minutes after we ordered to move up to the window just to pay. We had 2 drinks, one Coke Zero and the other was root beer so when we were handed 2 cups without either of the tabs pushed in to indicate which drink was which, we asked the person at the window who gave us the drinks and he said he didn’t know. It didn’t help that both drinks were basically the same color so we had to take the lids off and smell them to figure out the drinks ourselves. We checked our receipt and we paid at 6:45 pm. It’s 7:10 pm as I’m writing this review and we’re still waiting for our food! It’s raining and very humid outside so it’s really not an option to turn off the engine because we need the A/C but with gas at $4.65/gallon, we’ve probably wasted enough gas to buy one of their $4 meals. Our food was finally delivered to the car at 7:15. The fries and onion rings seem fresh because they are hot but we won’t try the burgers until we get home. We just got home and checked the 3 burgers…none of them were labeled so we couldn’t figure out who’s was who’s since we ordered almost the same thing. We ordered 2 burgers with “garlic sauce” but only one burger had the garlic sauce. One was supposed to be a double burger but all 3 are singles. I understand that they make the food as ordered but this wait is excessive for a drive thru.

The $4 menu items can't be beat. Love their fries and decent onion rings. Milkshakes are probably one of the best chain shakes. The drive-thru is a little slow (avg wait 15-20 minutes), but the fact that they prepare it "fresh" and it tastes like it helps. My biggest gripe is they heavily streamlined the menu. No more breakfast items. No more chicken items. It very much targets the beef eater. Used to come here once a week. Now it's about once every other month. You can also tell the streamlined menu has drastically reduced the dining room. I like that there's no "waiter" anymore, but with them saving on the cost of waiters, they could have kept one or 2 non-beef main entrees. Food is good, good prices, drive thru a little slow, and a very lacking menu = 3 stars.

Truly disappointed in the way this company is doing business now. They use a kiosk instead of greeters and waiters and waitresses. That means people out of work 😔 they also have eliminated a lot of the flavors for the shakes. No more butter pecan! 😭 The fries were okay hard by the time I got them they were cool and not hot like I like them. I observed them cooking the burgers and they're not done the same either now they're frozen and I believe they used to be fresh. However they are still good but they don't seem to be as good as they were. I pray you go back to the way you did things before that made Steak & Shake what it is or should I say what it was. No matter I would love if you'd go back to the way things were. Thank you!😇💜

Very good milkshakes. We went back for a burger and fries on another time. Very good and reasonably priced for a fast food joint. However I would have liked to see their white suits they advertise in the pictures. Good burger spot. Will visit again.

We went in for our favorite shake...... And let me just say.. Amazing as always. Flavor and texture was on point. Only issue is the skinny straws made available. They do give you a long spoon but not easy while driving. Other than the straw.... AMAZING?!!!!

Great service quick and friendly. The inside is very VERY clean! A cleaner cleans the area up every few moments, the hamburger which are made of steak are tasty and the add-ons (lettuce etc) feel fresh. Improvement suggestions: I got a triple meat burger with bacon, it was a little dry~chewy for my liking. Maybe suggest some salads in the menu, they don't have to be big
