Real good deal and foods served here! I have been craving for good Kimchi Jjigae and at here, Dae Jang Geum @ Taipan has fulfill all my cravings!! The stew is spicy but tolerable and most importantly, not sour and the ingredients tasted so fresh which I could finish up all the stew. It has pork belly, tofu, slices of rice cake, dangmyeon noodle (sweet potato starch) and kimchi. Worth trying and you don't need to travel far to Ampang. Besides the rundown tables and inconvenient of parkings in Taipan, Dae Jang Geum @ Taipan is one of the worthy place for authentic Korean food dinings. Cheers!!

This is the most delicious Korea restaurant i eat so far, but the price is somewhat high, but here provide up to 10 side dish. Food quality is good, service is good. For different type of tea, taste too light. Here have set lunch is more affordable.

Food is generally pretty good here. It’s been around for a long time, but food is still fresh and delicious. The table seatings can be quite difficult for elders (no chairs). If you like fresh kimchi, they also sell homemade kimchi to go for less than RM20/500g. Recommendations: sundubu jjigae, fresh kimchi, bbq pork belly (soy marinated & spicy Korean marinated).

The food was amazing, delicious and tasted authentic - from the kimchi pancakes, to the ramyeon with seafood to the sundubu jjigae and the KBBQ meat! Overall service was efficient and the staff were nice and friendly. The boss was very thoughtful - he bought us a cake when he found that we were celebrating my dad’s birthday! Thank you very much for your kind gesture!

This is a great place if you want a complete balance of everything. Adding on to that, they have a variety of side dishes (pumpkin, spinach, fish cake, potato, kimchi, beansprout and eggplant) - all tastes great. Good amount of fibre for the price you pay. For me, the highlight was the beef soup, marinated pork and marinated salad (which I’ve never seen any place do it before) - *chef kiss*. It is pricier to most Korean restaurants but the food and service is great. If you can afford it, why not give it a try.

Very good service and fast. Food is sumptuous & good taste. Price is reasonable. The fish is fresh and Kim Chi very appetising. Word of caution, it's very difficult to find parking in the daytime as Taipan is a very busy area.

It's a Korean family business. The food is good and service is excellent. The Gyoza is crispy and yummy. The pork is good too. The ala carte comes with 6 side dishes. The restaurant has limited seats, do come early during weekends.

wahlau. im telling u as a person who has travelled korea for 3 weeks in total, and tasted more than 30 korean restaurants in Klang Valley. This quality of korean cooking is memang top korean standard and even better than some restaurants in korea. This has gotta be my Top 2 along with Su Ok San in Ampang. the owners are korean siblings i think, and they are smiley, friendly and polite people, which makes the atmosphere even better. The seating is comfy. Tat sundubu jjigae is to die for, just look at it, damn good. Will be a top spot for me to come back again in the future

Good authentic Korean food. The best kimchi in town. BBQ minimum order is 2 pax for those who is unaware. Don't be caught in surprise as minimum order is nothing new in this world. Saw some harsh comments about this but it's seriously nothing worth complaining about. The place is clean and managed by a Korean lady boss. Recommended for group hang out to enjoy Korean food 👍🏻

Good Korean BBQ Restaurant Best restautant all over the Asia country. Received award by KFF as an Excellent Korean restaurant. Broadcasted "Ho Chiak" TV 8 at 26 Feb 2017. Renovation all restautant. Very clean and cogy place. Start new lunch menu.

Used to come here very often， the small dishes are able to refill. but this time the staff told me cannot refill anymore. Charge refillable price but dont offer any refill for side dish is really a disappointment. Hope the owner can look into this decision again. The price for authentic Korean cuisine is slightly higher just because it comes with refillable side dish but now they take this off ? What a disappointment Staff told me non of the dishes can be refill even i only request to refill 2 of them. But anyways the food taste good is one of my best korean cuisine. Hope at least we are able to refill the kimchi， it is so good ！ update ： i think their dish can be refill already ！ thanks so much will still come back for yummy kimchi

One of the staff was impolite when Serving us. Food is too pricey. It look like big portion of food but in fact meat is very little. Even kimchi pancake costRM45. The price is is average high compare to other restaurant. Won’t come anymore .

really bad 육개장... yukgaejang's earthy flavour comes from fernbrake, which unfortunately this stew does not have. instead there is egg which totally messes up the taste of authentic yukgaejang. understood that your chef used to be well known on tv8 etc, but you cannot keep using the same excuse when replying to reviewers. this 육개장 is bland with only spicy taste. does not feel hearty at all.

The first taste of Kimchi and BBQ pork slices already caught my attention. Kimchi tasted spicy but surprisingly smooth without the spikes, the BBQ pork slices are well done with crispy outside and tender inside. There are not a lot of side dishes available but what available are quite satisfactory. Although the menu seems nothing to shout about, the overall dinning experience feels unmistakably Korean. The only downside is the street parking outside the restaurant seems limited and hard to find, especially on the week days.

This restaurant recently changes owner so the food and service is totally different now. So much better than previous management. The side dishes and main courses taste reallllyyyyyy goodd. Previously i need to go until Ampang to find good korean food. Glad that I don't need to travel so fast anymore! Plus the service here is good and the boss is so polite and friendly. Strongly recommended for those who want a neighbourhood feel and value Korean meals. They even sell potato pork soup, a dish not commonly found in other Korean restaurants. Definitely good value for money and not usually crowded. From someone who visited korean restaurant Atleast 4-5 times a month.

This place serves a variety of good authentic Korean dishes. The robust soups were really excellent, plus my saba fish dish was superb. Will definitely return for more flavoursome choices. 👍

Lovely food. Boss is very friendly. Even gave us extra kimchi. Service can be improved especially during peak hours.

Quite pricey for the portion size of the meats for bbq. But then the noodles (we ordered jan chi guk su) was surprising big for its price. Went during mothers day so it was SUPER packed and they lacked staff to the point where they bbq-ed at a separate table so they dont have to tend to so many charcoals and long waiting times if customers were to take their time to bbq their own meat.
