Booked for a birthday surprise and it is definitely affordable and the food were good too! Would definitely recommend if you have a budget party surprise. The workers are friendly too. P/s you should definitely try the Potter drink, hands down love it. A little too sweet but if you have a sweet tooth, it's highly recommended!

super good salted egg butter milk chicken๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿคฉ one of the best and most iconic here in Klang Valley, even in Malaysia I would say๐ŸŒŸ. definitely should come try as the food is sooo good. the shop environment is very unique so it might not be for everyone I think. must come to experience this one-of-a-kind restaurant. be ready to queue to get in here as many people like to come here, but know that the queue will be worth it. now the restaurant is perfectly visible, unlike before hehe ;). definitely recommended, must-come and will definitely come again, as this is one of my favourite and comforting places to eat this delicious comfort food in Klang Valley area.

Food was moderately delicious. The setting of the place was also nice and enjoyable. You also get to watch Charlie Chaplin playing on TV all the time. However, I had to wait 50 minutes for my food to arrive which is honestly disappointing especial when you're starving

I really like the concept here of a speakeasy restaurant specialising in salted egg butter meats. The reputation precedes the place and pretty much meets it. The chicken was tender and the sauce was nice, a little on the sweet side. I like the salted egg butter prawns better though, it makes more sense. The service was confusing at first, nobody was manning the door and I just walked in expecting to be seated. But had to step out again and waited outside. The lines get super long in the weekend, so come early if you can. Will I come back here? Maybe after I try all the other places in SS15.

Just happen to be in this area for some official matters, hence drop by this restaurant due to its high ratings. Honestly, the vibe might suit the youngsters only... And if this is their target market, I can say it a success. Dark environment, small portions of food and drinks but price is on the high side - these don't meet my expectations. Food tastes just so so and nothing extraordinary. However, staff are friendly. Overall, I just want to satisfy my curiosity and it's done.

On the table today is Salted egg butter chicken rice set (RM15.90), Butter chicken chop pasta(RM21.90) and Salted egg croissant (RM8.90). Let's talk about the croissant first, the taste is as expected of salted egg; salty, gooey and slightly thick. The croissant is chewy and flaky but it's pretty evident that it went back into the oven before heading out. The filling was ample but the knife couldnt cut through airy chewy pastry. The salted egg butter chicken set comes with a nice serving of fried chicken coated with salted egg, steamed rice and buttermilk at the side. The dish for me was lacking the heat from the curry leaves and birds eye chilies. The chop even though double fried, is still tender. The sauce was thick, savoury and packed with heat. This for me was a better dish on the day. Jibril is located at SS15 (same row as Fat Baby and opposite Fowl boys). Parking could be difficult but not impossible. Queues during dinner can be quite insane but service is fast and prompt. This is a Muslim owned operated outlet with no pork and alcohol served. *NOTE* This is not a paid post; the written content is based on the author's personal opinion and preference. Edited: If only I can comment without giving any stars. Couldnโ€™t bring myself to finish the meal for the price and never have I ever had to walk out of a sad speakeasy eatery. Why? Food: Lacked seasoning, the pasta was mushy & chicken was tough because they were overcooked. Nothing special with the sauceโ€ฆlacked any flavour except for the cream. We also ordered the buttermilk rice and itโ€™s basically the same thing with white riceโ€ฆAnd that drink in the photo? Supposedly sparkling, but it was still even with the bubbles= sad. Ambience: Tacky. Might I also add that while we were there, the floor staff was having their lunch behind the cashier. Never have we seen that happen in other restaurants. Overall experience: sad. I donโ€™t know what is the hype but food and ambience quality needs major overhaul. Very disappointed. First and last time here

The foods are so bad. I donโ€™t know whatโ€™s the hype for this place because the foods were awful. We were trying the famous salted egg squid, hoping that it will worth all the hype just to be dissapointed by how sweet the food was. Trying to give it the benefit of the doubt by thinking, maybe itโ€™s just the salted egg that taste bad and one of our friend decided to order Nasi Lemak and also end up to be frustated with the sweetness of the sambal. The level of the sweetness isnโ€™t tolerable at all. The service is also bad. We were trying to call the waiters for few times and he just decided to give us the look, not even smile or gesture. For ambience, itโ€™s quite nice for dinner with your partner.

The salted egg butter chicken taste absolutely amazing. It's buttery and spicy. Consider its a salted egg butter chicken, rm 21.9 for a single set is at pricey side, but if you do want to enjoy the nice food at nice atmosphere, this is the place to go.

Had the salted egg butter chicken which is the most popular dish here. The chicken itself was fried quite well with pretty nice crisp, the meat was overall tender. The salted egg sauce had a thick consistency which I liked, the taste too was good though it was tad bit too sweet for my liking. It comes with this small bowl of watered down salted egg sauce which I'm assuming is for you to pair it with the rice. I would say for this dish the price point is much too high. Oh, I ordered small rice so the original shouldn't look so tiny.

First time here and I was mind blown. The butter milk chicken is to die for. It has always been my comfort food, and they nailed it at all corners. The cozy atmosphere made me enjoy every bite I took. The staffs were very warm and welcoming. I would definitely go back to explore more.

20220506 Probably the best butter chicken rice i have. To me, it's slightly overprice which we can find the similar menu at a lower price in that area. The fish and chip are not bad. If there is a queue, you can pass it and try another restaurant.

If you looking for some sort of candlelight meal experience, this is it even though there is no real candlelight. If you can ascend their small spiral staircase, on top floor there is 2 small TV showing Charlie Chaplin movie. The place is a bit cramp and for really large group, this is not a place for you to dine in. Food wise, love the buttermilk chicken and their fish and chips. As for drinks, not so much option here and a bit pricey. Their hot chocolate is okay, but if you pay a bit more at Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf, you get much more better taste hot chocolate. If you in a hurry, you better go somewhere else because their emphasize in good quality meal in which their will prepare every order individually, so it will take some time for your meal to arrive. A place you can go once in awhile because there is much more better and cheaper option around, but maybe if you looking for dark sort of romantic dining experience and good buttermilk chicken rice, well you can give it a try.

Ordered their couple set, the portion of their butter chicken is huge and the chicken is fried before mixing with the butter sauce, so is really nice and it comes with two drinks. Ordered their chicken skin, that one was ok. The environment is dark but cosy and price is really affordable.

If you came in from a hot sunny day, you'll be blinded for a while because this restaurant is dark as in there's no windows and lighting is very dim. However the ambience is chilly and cosy. I came for their signature Buttermilk Chicken Rice, taste wise is not bad but the chicken was getting cold and dry as if it was pre-cooked. It also came with a small bowl of sauce but it was so dilute that it looked like corn milk. Fell short here. The waiter recommended that we try their Lala and we got the Spicy Thai Lala and it was not bad. Tasted like Thai Green Curry but on the zesty side and decently spicy. It came with a choice of Garlic Bread or Mantou. Portion is good for 1 person or sharing as a side dish. Here's the thing, it cost RM29.90 excl tax. Honestly it doesn't justify the price for the portion. Overall this is a great place to hang out with friends for coffee and snacks. It's got that cool and cosy vibe. However as a restaurant, there's room for improvements.

This shop served one of the best butter chicken in SS15, on that day their gravy a bit watery and sweet, overall i am satisfied with my butter chicken. Environment here a bit dark with beautiful decorations and nice ambience. Restaurant here quite clean, staff also friendly, and more importantly great music. Really enjoy my time in this restaurant. Quite a lot of people queuing on weekend.

it was a good experience but the space to walk is too narrow and very limited.. table to another table is only about less than half meter,, so awkward to chatting while the person beside you can hear what you are talking... when i heard this place viral,, i want to go, see the place and taste the foods.. the place is so dark... and crowded.... not suitable for old people and kids... foods was okay and delicious for butter chicken 5/5 but the butter clams was 3/5, too sweet... for butter chicken chop pasta 4/5, its too creamy and heavy... i will come again only one more time to bring my husband see this place.. just to show him the place.. hopefully next experience will be nice.

Their signature buttermilk sauce was watery and tasteless, salted egg squid tastes like it was overcooked 12 hours ago. Below average food for above average prices, 0 stars if I could. Staff also brought us the wrong order multiple times in a row.

First time trying Jibrilโ€™s Salted Egg Butter Chicken. Sangat sedap ya ๐Ÿฅฒ I believe itโ€™s best to eat warm (if takeaway/delivery). Cold butter sauce mungkin boleh buat sesetengah orang rasa muak. Yet for me, the sauce consistency and flavour tak buat rasa muak. When combined with the rice as well as the sweet and salty boneless chicken, maigad totally enjoyable bila makan ๐Ÿคค Also we tried their bolognese spaghetti. Marvellous. Just how a bolognese spaghetti should be. Kudos to Jibril for giving option for customer to place separate order for their rider too.

Tried their butter milk chicken rice and I must say, it was absolutely delicious! The chicken was soaked in the rich and creamy buttermilk gravy, which I couldn't get enough of. They even served a small bowl of the heavenly gravy on the side. To complement the meal, I ordered a fresh coconut, which was incredibly refreshing. However, it's worth noting that during peak hours, the restaurant can get quite packed and squeezy, so it's advisable to plan your visit accordingly. Overall, it was a delightful dining experience.

The food here was great. Really good butter chicken and hot chilli clams. The butter sauce was light but flavourful. But I think the ambience is underrated and not talked about much, which I would like to highlight in my review because it is just as important. The setting of the restaurant is in a dimly lit interior with orange lighting. It really is perfect for date nights because of the lighting. They also have private sections of the restaurant where you can chill with friends, and they do surprise party decorations. The food was good but the ambience was better. Overall, would come here again just for the ambience.

Decided to finally try this place after the hype that's being going on. First impression of the outside doesn't look to inviting and unsure what kind of restaurant this is. We were greeted and shown to our table. Decor wise, I have mixed feelings, the atmosphere feels like it's trying to create a romantic mood, but the furnishings are where it's supposed to be. Food wise, the menu centers a lot of dishes of buttermilk, a popular dish in both Malaysia & Singapore. There are many varieties of buttermilk dishes, but we settled on the popular set, which is one of their best sellers as well as the chili cooked clams. I personally love the chili clams as it has the right balance of creaminess & spiciness. If you're around ss15 around and wondering what new restaurants to try, do give Jibril a shot.

The queue is insane. But it was quite fast. Was trying on whats so hip about this place. Ordered Butter Chicken rice (Taste good), now I know whats the fuss about. Also ordered Salted Egg Croissant, for me..not up to standard. It doesnt look good for me and it was cold. Ambiance is too dark for me. Maybe its romantic concept but the upstairs is too crowded. Hence, its a place to try different style of dining.

Taste: - 8/10 Scrumptious butter chicken. a bit on the spicy side. but the spiciness is just the right kick for the dish. The portion of a single butter chicken isnโ€™t great. but portions of combo with squid and others are huge. Mocktails are not the best but pretty decent too. Price: - 9/10. Not on the lowest range, western food could get expensive. but itโ€™s definitely still considered cheap Others: A very good vibe. The vibe youโ€™d expect from a fancy restaurant. Good place for dates and hangouts. Not very spacious tho, hence it could get crowded and loud.

Came to this restaurant (on 20/9/2022) for dinner & to celebrate my husband's birthday. The food is very good. I ordered the Malaysia day promo menu for rm59 with add-on mushroom soup, banana XL & brownie ice cream. Waiters work together to deliver sweet dessert after the main course while playing the birthday song. Really appreciate the effort to make the day special for my husband and family. Thank you, guys. The price is very affordable.

OK so I must say that they top my list for butter chicken style of cooking. You even get an extra small bowl of butter source on the side. The atmosphere is very unique and special. Unlike normal restaurants. Parking is a pain but it's worth it.

Good food focused on salted egg based flavour and decent different variety of the same thing ( salted egg this, salted egg that). Taste is good and the ambience is a bit dark but surprisingly alright for photo. Only downside is the slower service due to lack of staff, and they looked overworked.

Overpriced but definitely, ridiculously, mightily delicious. I am a regular customer and the taste is always consistent, never disappointing. I think out of every restaurant that sells salted egg / buttermilk dish, Jibril's tastes the best. The protein is always tender, enough gravy, enough saltiness and enough sweetness. However for me, I don't prefer a restaurant setting like this - too dark for me & my cheap Samsung phone, and if you don't know that it is actually Muslim-owned, you would doubt the halal status of it (I definitely did in the beginning as it has sketchy vibes to it lol). But the food is A+ and I guess that's the most important part.

My staple go-to whenever I'm craving for some good buttermilk chicken ๐Ÿ˜‹ Chicken fried to perfection and lathered in the salted egg sauce always hits the spot for me. Also love how they're not stingy with the extra sauce! Would've loved an extra kick (extra chillies) but I think that's just me :p Butter clams were creamy, albeit a tiiiny bit sweet. Overall a yummy experience always, I definitely get the hype.
