Spacious, tastefully decorated and furnished. With spactacular view from the deck and room as you feel yourself calming down to a healthier relaxing pace listening to the bird life and feeling the fresh air cooling you're thoughts and soul.

This was one of the most spectacular and incredible places we have been to! Exactly what we needed on our honeymoon. The cottage was superbly decorated and immaculate presented, totally private with amazing views over the tree canopies of the forest. The host Ingrid was so accommodating and made us feel so welcome, also advised us on hikes in the area which we went on and loved. Ingrid also recommended the ladies that came to the cottage to perform a aromatherapy couples massage, an experience like no other! A few days of absolute perfection!

We had such an amazing experience at Cliffhanger cottages. We stayed in the smaller garden unit and were blown away by the views, I can only imagine what the other units' views were like! There was a Knysna Loerie that frequented the tree in front of the unit, it was such a blessing. Barry and Ingrid were very responsive and caring, there were some WiFi issues that they immediately jumped to sort out the moment that we informed them. We experienced them as very friendly hosts who want you to enjoy your stay and actively try to make your stay as convenient as possible. Ingrid saw that we travelled with our mountain bikes and offered to store them in their garage. She did not have to do this, we knew going there that we would have to keep our bikes in the unit/kitchen. She offered their personal space without us even asking. The only reason that I did not give 5 stars is that the shower has these water saving jet heads - I completely understand why. It is however very loud and takes away from a peaceful, relaxing shower at the end of the day. It also makes it a bit difficult to wash your hair if you have hair that is a bit longer. Still, a lovely unit with lovely hosts and great location! About 15 mins from Knysna.

Absolutely lovely! Everything was perfect down to the last detail. Special thanks to the cleaning staff for all the welcoming touches. The view, the lovely garden, the bird activity, the stargazing...Everything was wonderful!!!

We stayed in the Cliff Edge cottage for 4 nights in early April. The cottage faces north so there is plenty sunlight from sun rise to sun set and the view is spectacular any time of day. The layout of the cottage is perfect because you can lie in bed with your morning coffee and watch the forest below you breathe into life. The facilities in the cottage are excellent and 'load shedding friendly' with the gas stove. Just make a note there is no oven in Cliff Edge, but there is a stove, microwave and a very nice braai. Location wise, Cliffhanger Cottages is about 10 mins outside Knysna, so a trip into town to do a bit of shopping or go to a restaurant is easy. Barry & Ingrid are great hosts and their space is stunning. We will most definitely be back.

We had the joy of staying here on our honeymoon. Truly a dream location - close to the Knysna Forest, Knysna and Brenton on Sea, but removed out of the buzz of the streets. Nice and remote. Beautiful and quiet. We made the most amazing memories exploring the area as well as just enjoying the solitude that they stay offered. We STRONGLY recommend this stay.

We wanted somewhere peaceful and beautiful to stay at for our honeymoon, out in the middle of nowhere. And we couldn't have asked for a better spot than Cliffhanger Cottages. The view is unbelievable, both morning afternoon and night, with such gorgeous vistas to look over, and such magnificent views of the stars. And the reading book looking out over the mountains is absolute bliss. If we had stayed just for the weekend, it would have been absolutely perfect. The only difficulty we had was that the neighbours were doing work on their home, which meant that during the weekdays the peace and tranquility was broken by banging and drilling. NOT Cliffhanger Cottage's fault at all, which is why it won't be impacting the review for the place itself. And the friendliness of the host more than made up for it. She offered such wonderful recommendations for restaurants, hiking and more. Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to return.

This is the most amazing place . The cottage is very cosy and got everything you need. The hot tub is great. The view is awesome and it is very peaceful snd private. Will definitely be back to enjoy this amazing place.

This place is absolutely incredible. We stayed here for a short break away from the hustle and bustle of city life. We left floating on a cloud, we were so relaxed. The sound of the birds chirping away, acow mooing in the distance, it just forces you to just stop and take it all in. What an experience. We will definitely be back.

What an experience at this magical place!!! Myself and my now fiance` stayed in the Cliffsedge cottage during August for a few days. Its such an amazing place with a view that will leave you speechless. The hosts Barry and Ingrid are wonderful and they have have really thought of ever last detail in the cabins. We will definitely be back in the near future. If I could rate this 10 stars I would most certainly do so.

My wife and I spent a couple nights at Cliffhanger for our one year anniversary. We were blown away at the beauty of this piece of heaven. Besides the magnificent views and the wood fired hot tub, the small attention to detail that went into making our stay as comfortable as possible, was just as fantastic. Everything was perfect! The only regret you'll have is the fact that you didn't book a few more days. We will definitely be back for more!!!

We had the most magnificent experience at Cliffhanger cottages. From the time we booked with Ingrid, to arriving, to the details of the cottage and the spectacular views, this was a memorable and magical experience. The cottage is neat and tidy and also quite spacious. I enjoyed the open plan kitchen as well as waking up to the sounds of the birds chirping, and both the kitchen and bedroom overlooks the beautiful Knysna forest. It the perfect place for couples and an exquisite romantic get away. We will be sure to return. Thank you Ingrid and Barry. :-)

The Cliffhanger cottage will leave you speechless. Ingrid and Barry are so incredibly friendly from booking the cottage to arrivals and end. The cottage is immaculate, The bird life is absolutely stunning and wholesome. The cottage was so clean and had everything you needed! WiFi was great, the wood fire hot tub was everything, Also super clean! The location is 15 mins away from Knysna waterfront, which just made it everything smooth and accessible if wanting to step out for a breakfast lunch or dinner. If you want to stay somewhere that will leave you breathless and avoid disappointment, you go to the Cliffhanger cottage! Highly highly recommend! Thank you so much for everything Can’t wait to go back!

a very special place to restore. the mountain views are spectacular and the cottage is just lovely. Comfortable. Nicely furnished with the most gorgeous little details. So clean. Spotless. Just kick off your shoes and relax. Great big window in the shower looking over the mountains too! very keen to go back.

Our jaws dropped at the view from our balcony! Everything we needed was there and even smaller things we didn't think of, which really made us feel special. We will definitely be back!
