Unfortunately, this is a very blatant tourist trap. It's actually a pig farm (they aren't wild) with an overpriced bar and nothing to do except buy drinks or food for the pigs. Our tour stopped here for 2 hours, far longer than you need to see a lifetime's worth of pigs. Most of the pigs are nice enough, but a few aren't and will bite hard enough to draw blood if you're holding food. The toilets are the worst I saw in our entire trip to Thailand, and if you stray round the island a bit you'll see mountains of garbage along the shore. At least you'll get some nice pics for instagram. And maybe a 200thb coconut drink.

Very beautiful beach but gets too crowded around noon. It gets better when half of the people start leaving. Expensive drinks sold here (200 baht for one coconut instead of 35 baht in Samui). Lots of pigs and happy kids

Beautiful island with stunning views. We were lucky that very recent piglets had been born and were very cute running around...or sleeping in the sand. Probably best to arrive in the morning as it soon has boat after boat landing. There are plenty of Instagram views if that's your thing.

Not much to do on this island and need to pay THB50/person for entrance fee. Pigs and dogs were around the island. Full of cannabis smoke.

The island is more than a beach with piggis. For instagram lovers: Do it! There are dogs too! The beach is nice, but a lot of people are going there. For me: It is a good place and there are only nice tourists. You go there by boat. Dont pay more than 1000 baht for one boat (2 way).

I don't recommend visiting. The whole things seems like animal abuse just so tourists can take photos. The island is a bit run down so none of the tour money is going towards the animals or maintaining the island.

Tranquil beautiful little island with pigs and little restaurant. Too many tourists during mid day as it became huge attraction lately. Walking in the sand or turquoise water is very relaxing. Food for the soul.

Saw the island's quintessential pigs which the Koh Mat Sum is known for - but possibly the only highlight. Nice exploration, quite beautiful clear waters on reasonably clear, sunny day which me and my companions were lucky enough to experience. Otherwise, not much to really explore other than just pigs pigs pigs with Koh Samui view in the distance. I have to note that the beach doesn't feel clean; I do expect some pig excrements along the way, but what wasn't so impressive was that I had to witness some amount of garbage found such as water bottles, plastic cups etc. along the beach and the restaurant vicinity where island residents collect visitor fees of THB 50 per person. The fee isn't a lot but for me this should mean the island is at least monitored and cared for to maintain its beautiful surroundings. All in all a cozy island with unique experience with the cute pigs - so many of them during my visit!

Please don't go here ("Pig Island"). This place is a tourist trap and unethical. They have brought pigs and dogs from the mainland so that tourists will feed the animals by paying. There are lots of dogs and pigs, which is not their natural habitat. What I saw was that the animals are kept hungry, so the tourists are feeding. They had water bowls near empty and dirty with sand. Also, we're told before paying the tour that kayak was available free of charge, but on the island, they wanted to charge 300bath. Visiting day 1st Feb 2024.

What an incredible experience. Wouldn’t want to leave anymore ! Must bring cash with you, need to pay 50thb to the island. You’re also able to buy pig or dog food for 50thb each bag. It was super lovely and many many piggies with babies and doggies with puppies to view. Doesn’t matter how busy it is there’s enough animals around you. Also nice beach area so worth going for a dip. Toilet is decent. and drinks are available to buy
