This place got clean post-COVID. At least when I visited for happy hour -19:00.

Best Guinness taps in the town. And undoubtedly the best bar (non Japanese) around here. Screens on all sides which always play the sports event of the day. Don't forget to try the fish and chips. Very delicious!

Hub is chain of "English" pubs. They have a happy hour every day and serve reasonable food. However, the main attraction is the ability to mix and mingle with new people. Unlike Japanese bars, people here expect to meet and talk to other customers. There's usually a really good atmosphere. You can also watch sport here. Staff speak Japanese and English.

Great place for grabbing a beer before you head out for kobe beef! Hmmmmm kobe beef... Now i'm in the mood for kobe beef and i feel sad knowing that i probably will not have kobe beef in a long time to come.

Local branch of nationwide chain. Great lively atmosphere and bigger than you’d expect. Staff were friendly and menu was excellent: lots of tasty dishes and beers/drinks were fab too. Go at happy hour for the best prices. Fish & chips was a taste of home. Lovely!

Certainly the most unique Hub I've been to, basement floor (no windows), high ceilings, quite small. Good atmosphere, will definitely visit when in Kobe.

All Hub pubs I have visited in Japan are great for a drink and simple British food and this one is no exception. Recommended..

An underground HUB with a nice layout comprising of seating on two levels. I have been many times and there always seem to be a few people here. Busy at weekends.

Foreign friendly bar! The place felt kinda small. The drinks are good, more bang for your buck if you go during happy hour. Would come again

Nice pub was a great place to watch Japan v Samoa. On the small size and all tables were reserved which was annoying. Staff were amazing tho and food was just what you need with a pint. Atmosphere was exceptional

As an Aussie on day 8 of a 16day trip, it was refreshing to have a moment of normality. The spicy buffalo wings were the highlight, I got 2 plates!

Pubs ought to be warm and friendly places where people easily mingle and speak. Hub in Japan, of course, is much more like McDonald's or Disney Land than an authentic British pub. This is the only country in the developed world where staff in a British theme pub will make no effort to speak English, even when an obvious group of foreign tourists walk through the door. The 'Ale' is like a pale Belgian beer. And no Wifi at this one!

I haven't tried it during happy hour, so maybe that would improve things. Basically a typical fake British bar. Reasonable selection, though my black and tan was weak on the black. No real complaints, but nothing too exciting either.

Nice. Smallish but plenty of TVs and staff are super friendly and helpful.

Beer hall
👍 It is a long-established Sapporo beer hall in Kobe. It collapsed during the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake, but is now operating in a new building. The fried chicken is very delicious and famous. It's the perfect place to have a beer and talk with your friends.

Super public bath
👍👍 Very VERY nice hot spring. There’s like two types of “onsen” the outdoor type and the indoor type My personal favourite is the outdoor bucket (?) onsen because you have a mini hot tub all to your self haha Anyways, the entrance fee is pretty expensive to be honest but it’s kind of understandable...

Super public bath
😐 This hot spring is located near JR Sumiyoshi Station, and can be reached on foot between JR and Hanshin Uozaki Station, but there is a Sumiyoshi Higashimachi bus stop in front of the hot spring, and there is a bus (route 39) that leaves from Hanshin Mikage Station (also passing in front of Hanshin S...
