Grand 13th-century mosque in Konya's citadel, home to dynastic tombs & an adjacent flower garden. The famous mosque is now open after being closed for a long time for restoration.

I love it ! And I feel peaceful inside it

It is the oldest historical mosque in Selçuk emperior period established by selcuk sultan Alaaddin Keykubad. The night view of this mosque is so lovely and pretty.

A beautiful and very big mosque with a peaceful atmosphere and interesting history! It is located in the park which is also very nice to walk around and spend some time.

This historic mosque was completed under the rule of Sultan Alauddin. His grave can be found at this site too.

Alaaddin Keykubad Cami is one of the most visited sites in Konya. If you are in Konya make sure you visit this Cami. On this particular visit I was able to go inside and take a few pictures with the managers permission.

A calm magnificant atmosphere inside. Dome and wall covered with finest Mediterranean blue-white coloured tilework. Eyes and soul are resting when staring at the harmony of the artworks.

Walk up the fountain lined steps, and to your right the mosque is perched overlooking the city. Friday sermon in Turkish. Beautiful woodwork but wasn't really able to appreciate from the ladies side (split off area, not upstairs). Nonetheless it was spacious and clean. No plugpoints for charging phones

A fantastic Seljuk era Mosque recently restored. The Courtyard has the Graves of Seljuk kings including Ala Uddingston Kayqubad.

Beautiful mosque to visit in central Konya. You will probably meet Mr. Sabri to welcome you at the entrance, inviting to have a tour with him. He is a great connoisseur of the mosque and can explain in detail the history and the characteristics of this amazing building. The mosque is a must see tourist destination and Mr. Sabri is a worthy guardian of its treasures.

Historic mosque at the top of Alaaddin Hill

One of my favourite Seljuk architectural marvels of Konya. The other is Kapu Mosque. Sultan Alaeddin was a great man, and it was a pleasure to visit.
