After about two hours trying to decide where to stay on Phi Phi, we finally settled on Charlie’s (/Princess). Couldn’t be happier with the choice! The location is absolutely perfect, quiet, great view, yet a stones through from the actions and 100 choices for dinner. The breakfast was great. The pool… magic! Massive pool overlooking the beach, with nice vibes but not too party orientated. All hotels and businesses on the island (and Thailand) appear to be struggling to get back up to standard after Covid, Charlie’s is ahead of most others we visited.

Bathrooms are very dirty and rusty, looks as if they didn't even bother to clean it before we checked in, stained mirror and shower, dirty shower curtain. You have to spend 2000 baht to use some of the sunbeds by the pool. They blast music very loud all night, not easy to get sleep. No soap in the bathroom, no phone in the room. Not recommended.

Photos don’t look like anything like the actual rooms. 1000 baht deposit which is far too much. We were told that we would have a noisy room on arrival, but no where on the description for the room online did it say that this would be the case. The receptionist then advised us that if we didn’t like it we could always just cancel the booking. Rubbish customer service. The receptionist started laughing at this. Very unprofessional. Overall would not recommend. Only perks are the pool, breakfast and the location.

From Ton Sai pier, just walk towards the beach and you’ll find this resort, divided into 2 sections: PP Princess and PP Charlie resort. Standard rooms are available in PP Charlie, which is the backside of the resort and away from the beach. Upgraded/ delux rooms are available in PP Princess, which is beach facing. In PP Charlie, rooms are average but still you are allowed to access hotel facilities like pool etc. without running out of your travel budget. Rooms are old and they provide shower & shampoo gel, towels, coffee, electric kettle, AC and dental kit. Beach facing massive pool and sunlounge are heavenly and gives a feel of 4/5 star hotels. Its located in heart of the most happening place near Tonsai peir, that has all activities happening near by, with multiple bars, restaurants, and shops tending to your needs. This place was very close to Princess divers that provide scuba services. Since we had to leave for scuba at 7 AM in morning and wanted to check-out, there was no one at the reception and the cleaning staff was least bothered to tend to us. There was language barrier as well and it seemed like they were mocking us in their language. When we came back from scuba at 1230 PM, they allowed us to use the pool shower rooms for free to get changed. So, I can say some of the staff was helpful and some were rude. There was a lot of noise at night since our room was closer to the backside street. Maybe the rooms closer to the beach are quieter. I'd book again but only with upgraded rooms facing the beach. A great pool, central & happening location and cool vibes, if that is what you want, go for this hotel. Must recommended.

Super location! Rooms we were given were old and awful actually. Noise was also a problem from the bar across the street. The resort itself very nice. The breakfast was excellent. The pool is nice along the beach BUT as usual beds are always towel reserved, so very difficult to get. Would not likely return but would upgrade to PP Princess, same resort but beach side.

The photos of this place definitely don't capture the true situations of the rooms. Our bed was full of sand upon getting into bed, which was not nice to try and sleep in. The blinds in the room were moldy, the shower was moldy, and the sink was moldy. The air conditioning works okay. Breakfast is included which is nice. The whole island is loud at night so you cannot fault this location for being loud when you are trying to sleep, that's why people come to this island! It is walking distance from many bars and restaurants which is a great draw as well. The pool is also nice, it is big and there are cabanas that you can rent. The pool is also only steps away from the beach. We were told the pool closes at 8pm when we checked in, but were then kicked out of the pool at 7pm that night. By that time the tide is too far down so ocean swimming isn't really an option any longer. The location is great here, I just wish that the rooms were kept up.

Location good but rooms very poor. Dirty and we had mold. Felt like a scam. Rooms were very small as well.

Super dirty and old. Had to pay extra 1100 batt per night to change room to PP Princess, which was not clean as well but at least has new furniture and bigger rooms.

It was an okay room with working AC. The building was however next to the main street and the doors does not keep the sound out. So we had to use earplugs for sleeping. Other than that, the pool area was really nice and just next to a lovely beach and the sea.

Horrible, horrible, horrible! Thank God we only stayed for one night and were super tired so we could catch some sleep. Do not trust the pictures. We took a standard double room and it looked and smelled disgusting which is unbelievable for this price. We booked it based on pictures and Agoda reviews without looking on Google and regretted it. The bathroom is completely and utterly disgusting, we were dirty and sweaty but decided not to shower here because of the conditions. Moldy floors, hairs everywhere, moldy smell, unwiped surfaces. The window has no isolation, it is as old as the island and the noise coming from outside would have been unbearable if we weren't as tired as we were. If you wish yourself well, do not stay here, at least not in the standard room.

Only location is part which is good but that can be found in many better resorts in phi phi. The resort seems like running a scam kind of thing when reach the resort they ask you to pay by one day as the rooms in street side are noisy and they try to convince you to move to other rooms which are costly. Rooms are small and you will be Destroying things just by moving so be ready to pay penalty for it Bathroom is small, so much that you will everything when shower. On top my wife 1 pair of slippers also missing from pp Charlie, they always clean room when you are not there and evern after saying clean in front of us they don't care, if staying there mind you belongings Do not stay, book other than pp Charlie and pp princess they both are same.

Excellent location, right on the beach... Highly happening place with all major activities happening near by... There were excellent fire games happening on the beach right next to the resort. Staffs were helpful and polite. Swimming pools were amazing. They have two pools, one opposite to tne reception, near the beach, which is usually a bit crowded. And the other one was an infinity pool with breathtaking views of the beach and ocean, and located in a secluded part of the resort giving more of a private pool feel. However, what stands out the best among all was it buffet breakfast which was the highlight during our stay... Huge spread, unlimited menu variety, and amazing tase

Absolute DUMP of a place! Never stay here. Screaming in halls. LOUD MUSIC ALL NIGHT ON STREET! The music just never stops, 9 AM and I’m still awake from all night party on the street. Terrible service. Nastiest rooms in the world. Springs sticking out, that cut my wife’s leg when she hopped into bed. Window shakes when ANY door is opened in the same building as you. Pictures are FAR FROM WHAT YOU GET! Terrible place, Absolute terrible. We moved hotels after 2/3 nights of our stay. Ruined koh phi phi for us. Should not be a resort should be a street side MOTEL!

Absolutely loved this place. Charlie and Princess are the same place. Charlie is apparently the budget (get Princess if you value sleep, read on...). The location is right next to the beach and the main road where all the bars and restaurants are located. The island itself is small but this place is a short walk to most places. Our room was standard. Clean with a newish washroom. There was room service every morning to clean. There is a nice pool that backs onto the beach and the breakfast buffet is actually amazing. The only thing that I did not like was that our specific building backs onto a bar that plays live music until 2am. Its pretty loud so if you have young children or sleep early, make sure to not get this building (specify with management at time of booking). I think its building T?? Aside from this one item, I would recommend and would come back when I visit phi phi

Check in was very quick as we had booked in advance. We were offered a welcome drink at the check-in desk. The staff led us to our rooms with the bags on the 2nd floor and there was no lift. We had booked the basic room the size of which was not so big however it had all basic amenities. There was no landline though to connect to the housekeeping. Further, they had very limited options in breakfast for vegetarians. The property was luxury and had a big swimming pool from where you can enjoy the beach view as well.

We are currently staying at the hotel, the pictures are far from reality. The rooms are old, not maintained, cats inside the buildings. The only advantage of the hotel is the location. If you were looking for a pleasant and romantic vacation - stay away.

The resort is well located, close to the parties and beach front. Breakfast is literally in the beach. But we have some problems with the room but they changed our room very fast. Pool service is slow…

Do not stay here. I was charged 2000 baht (£45) for a single bed sheet that got a small amount of sick on after food poisoning. The walls are extremely thin and you can hear everything. The room was not clean and the rooms are extremely basic. Whilst the location was excellent, I recommend staying somewhere else in the area.

Next to the beach. Clean and organized place. Pool is amazing 😍 And the beach is 50m ahead from the pool. Music at pool which makes you more excited to stay there. Food is great

Pictures were deceiving… not at all what we got … bathroom curtain was a bit nasty. We booked for 2 nights luckily they gave us the chance to book for 1 night first. We were next to the main street and the noise was unbearable. Don’t recommend this place. Only thing nice was the pool with the view

So here’s the thing: as a solo traveler on a budget, I was deciding between a hostel single room and here.. and I’m so happy I chose here! It’s basically the basic room quality of a hostel, with access to the amazing amenities at the princess resort attached to it (reception, pool, breakfast, location, bar etc). The room is definitely simple and pretty loud as it’s close to the street but I expected that given the other reviews (and wasn’t planning to spend much time in my room!). What I didn’t anticipate is the amazing location in town right on the beach and access to such nice amenities! Truly a great deal if that is what you’re looking for.

There is a difference in blocks where you have rooms. You pay less money in the block were the music continues till 02:00. Location is good, pool is fine. They took our bags without commission when we went for breakfast on the morning we left. The bags were not on the ferry and we need to walk back again to check where our bags were. Bit strange but thank god we were just in time. They forget to bring new towels when they cleaned the room and didnt refill the tea. Its a bit basic, but for the price oke.

The hotel is nice and clean. The beds are comfortable. The staff are nice and helpful. The breakfast is wide and tasty. The pool is amazing!

Would not recommend, left my clothes for laundry service and they lost it, they didn’t even care and made me pay for the service I didn’t get, they ask for a deposit up front so that’s why I could not get my money back, people in front desk are zero cooperative and they know nothing about customer service. Worst experience ever!!!

Beautiful pool, it's worth the trip! Rooms so and so, clean and with all the necessary but not much vibe.

Very well located hotel: in the heart of all facilities but without the "party" aspect of Koh Phi Phi. The swimming pool with view on the beach (also accessible from the hotel) is heavenly. Concerning the breakfast: it's the best we've had in all the hotels in Thailand (pancakes +++). We took the cheapest rooms, they are basic but allow us to enjoy the quality of the hotel without ruining our travel budget. Negative aspect : the cleaning begins early in the morning and finishes late in the evening which is noisy and can disturb the late risers.

Stayed in November 2019. Pictures online make this hotel look better than it really is. Good part is that it has free breakfast, swimming pool and overall clean rooms. Now to the bad things... 1. Frequent power cuts, I'm not sure if it's like this in all hotels across the island but it was happening a lot over two nights I stayed there 2. Showers were really cold. Found out the next day at reception to turn the air con off and let the shower run for five minutes to let it warm up (they work on same system apparently). This worked but at times it got too hot and any adjustment to the temperature dial made it go cold again, so then had to repeat the whole process again. 3. No swimming in the pools late at night. Probably has something to do with health and safety I'm guessing. Security came over and told us to get out / leave.
