Beautiful place for dinner. The embiance is awesome. The staff always checks on you and are really friendly. The female waitress is so friendly, a real asset to the company. She deserves a raise. Well done Szalone!! Enjoyed my dinner.

The food is AMAZING! Very Polish. And the portion. Oh my lord! The portion I got was STUNNING! And the service? Oh my. The only place I would like to give tip. I will come back again next year. Just for this restaurant.

Many people inside, crowded or maybe popular place. Food was average. For sure I expected more from the meal for 120 zl, and definitely I do not recommend it. The lamb meat was not tasty at all, it was my first time that I didn’t eat it all. Other meals was ok. Can recommend a noodle soup, but do not have a photo of it. That is why only 3 stars.

Excellent experience. Very welcoming staff, we had to wait a little for a table - no problem, nice chat with the friendly doorman. After having been seated, the doorman came back to us to say there was now a better table if we wanted. Thanks! The sausage and egg soup was excellent (don't go for the option in a bread bowl, not worth it, better to appreciate a full bowl of soup). The main course of dumplings was also excellent (option of meat with grieves is actually meat filled with pork cracking on top). Highly recommended.

Nice small restaurant with local dishes. The service is friendly and attentive. The food is tasty and the portions are big (don’t hesitate to ask the doggy bag). The prices are moderate. I recommend!

Spend a few hours looking some traditional polish dishes. And decided to try this one. You won't regret it! Service was good. Waitress always aware if everything was ok or you needed something even though the time I went was packed!. Regarding food all I can say it was excellent, big plates and super tasty! Don't forget to try the soups!!!

We have been to this restaurant many times and it is highly recommended especially for families with children. There is a set menu for lunch on weekdays, which is large and delicious. The other meals were also almost impeccable. Most importantly for parents, there are play areas for children on both floors, small but helpful.

We wanted to try some polish dishes and we choose this restaurant based on the reviews and photos that we saw here. The portions were huge and the food looked really good but it was not that tasty as we expected.

Everything was perfect! Food was really delicious. Atmosphere, music and lighting was very romantic. Menu was in english and had pictures. Staff spoke english very well. We had a really good evening there. I would definitely recommend.

Stayed in old town for 3 days. Was here for breakfast and diner EVERYDAY! The food was so good we couldn't get enough worked our way through the whole menu. Charming little place with EVERYTHING you wanted to eat.

Came for dinner, good chicken and good beef. The cutlet has extra gnocchi for me, good served with salads. Pasta with broccoli and chicken is wonderful. If you want delicious Polish cuisine, come here, which is rare.

One of many polish restaurants at the old town of Krakow. The food is traditionell and okay but nothing special. The dumplings (pierogi) are good. You can get a mixed plate and choose three different kind, that's very nice for tasting. The service is friendly but also busy, the restaurant is huge at the underground. There are different side rooms, which is nice for groups. But the music is a way too loud. All together a good place for a rest.

Came here for the high reviews but left disappointed. 1. The potatoes are soaked in oil, soft and greasy. 2. The ribs without the sauce are just blend and dry. For the same price I prefer Morskie Oko more, both the food and atmosphere are way better.

Overall had a good meal here, the food was fresh, hot and tasty. The restaurant looked clean and the waitress looking after us was very friendly. The waiter who initially seated us wasn’t as friendly however. I’d eat here again.

Enjoyed home-made chicken broth, roasted duck, "crazy dish" - selection of different traditional foods, dumplings with meat and home made wine, glass of juice and one beer (~300 PLP). 2 adults and 2 kids. Portions were big, tasty food and good service, worth of the money. Brought some leftovers home. At 7 pm on Tuesday restaurant was fully occupied, had to wait up to half hour for the table.

I randomly ran into Szaline Widelce on a day trip to Krakow, and best decision to eat here before a long trip outside the city. The service was amazing and the breakfast was pretty big too and so cheap!!! If you’re staying in Krakow or visiting the city for the day, I strongly recommend anyone to visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner. I will definitely return if I ever return to Krakow!

It's a nice place to have lunch or dinner Krakow. Pleasant atmosphere, differently designed dining areas. Prices are like everywhere and vary: €15-€50 per person.

The place is really cool and unique. We waited for 15 minutes for a table for 2 and it was worth it. My favorite thing was the herring and Krakow soup and the mushroom pierogi 🥟

Very welcoming, good service, 1 order of 8 dumplings is too much for me and it's very good. Price is correct Better to come early or you'll have to wait for an available table. The workers are very nice and friendly.

Surprisingly as for such a touristic location there is great food, big portions and nice atmosphere. The service was very lovely and sweet, attending us with two children, offering a toy for them. It was very helpful. During a day there was enough space and they have kind of inner yard place as well with tables. From outside looks much smaller that it is inside. I liked it here, and I would come back. Our chicken salats and checked soup were tasty!

Its a one of the traditional restaurant in Krakow. For those who want to try traditional Polish foods, This place is highly recommended. I ate half duck and the taste is pretty good.

had the crazy plate which should come with a warning that it's far too much for one person. felt disappointed that the wait staff didn't tell me, neither did the menu. potato pancake with beef sauce - 7.5/10, interesting textural contrast. fried vegetable oil and seasoning tastes somewhat like a fish fry lmao. the beef stew poured on top was really good. stuffed chicken with spinach and cream sauce - 7/10, interesting but nothing mindblowing. the chicken could have been less dry ribs - 7.5/10, good ribs cutlet - 6/10, dry the coleslaw and pickled chilli were nice

Quite tasty food, what is more- traditional polish cuisine. I could say that the restaurant has a competitive prices. One minus is the time that you have to wait for your order...at least they should inform you in advance about it.

After some 1h of frustrating research, we decided on this restaurant and boy did that hour paid off. Good selection, huge portions, great taste and friendly staff. Highly recommend the tuna steak, absolutely delicious! Just make sure to make a reservation beforehand, there was a huge line out front.

Very nice, although a bit noisy restaurant near the city center - we sat on the terrace. The staff was nice and very helpful, the food fantastic, the prices more than reasonable. I definitely recommend, the next time you visit this beautiful city, we will definitely stop again.

We discovered by chance and had the breakfast with freshly squeezed orange and apple juice. Which was soooo fresh and tasty. Can't recommend enough. Staff helpful. Meal set up up for the day.

We had a very pleasant experience at this location which was recommended by a good local friend who happens to be a chef. We ordered the szalony misek also known as the crazy plate - it was tasty, very large and enough to fill 3 people. A wide variety of meats, vegetables and potatoes. A very traditional ambience and quiet location. The service was very welcoming and friendly. Open on Sundays until 10 pm

Really impressed with the food here. Big portions and great taste. Thoroughly recommend a visit. Only minor gripe was that the service was fractionally slow but was fairly busy in the restaurant at the time.

I think this is an amazing family restaurant. The food was really delicious, everything was professionally prepared with quality products. I was there with my friends, but I saw there is a little playground for kids. The personnel were absolutely brilliant - friendly, responsive and quick. I totally recommend!

Several years I was passing in front of this place and I have never tried. I was thinking that is quite touristic, but even if it is...the places worths a visit. Very good food, super clean place and a big and nice decorated basement. Price: 3 soups, 3 main dishes one of them was ribs in honey sauce and was delicious and 3 beers for 136 pln. Affordable for city centre Quantity&quality: quite big portions with side dish in the price and very good quality. Service: polite and fast.

Very nice place. It's well located in the city. The food is really good. I recommend the duck. It's well cooked and the cranberry sauce is very tasty. The dish is very huge and the price is correct according to the quality. I'll come back again

Best place we ate at in the whole of Krakow. The food was affordable and delicious, the size of the servings was industrial scale to say the least. Massive plates with meat, traditional dumplings and salad. We couldn't finish and we paid £80 to feed 5 of us plus 5 cocktails and 2 mojitos. Left a £20 tip to the waiters as they were superb with us, brought us extra ketchup and were so kind. They wore traditional clothing and the basement tables looked so pretty surrounded by old brick.

Very nice dishes! I ordered the ribs, and this dish is really perfect with sour cucumber, you will never feel greasy. I also have ordered a dessert! Really nice ice cream with raspberry jam. Tried to combine ice cream and bread, it really shocked me! Very verydelicious!

Top restaurant. Top food. Top service. It was one of my favorite spots in Krakow this past June. Prices are really good. Food is phenomenal. Love the set up and atmosphere as well. Definitely highly recommended for any visitor, passers by, or locals who haven't been in yet. I'll be back soon!!

Amazing traditional polish food. The mushroom soup and sour soup served in a bread were delicious. But the best was really the potato pancakes with mushroom sauce. Ambient and decor spot on!

Beyond this world delicious pancakes made of potato and with mushroom sauce and spinach on top. The portion was huge but I ate it all because I felt too bad for such great quality food to go to waste. The staff are also knowledgeable, friendly and helpful, especially Mirek.

The service was okay and the food was good. All in all a nice restaurant, although, as was the case in most restaurants in Krakow, there is no corona regulation. No vaccination checks for the interior and the staff wasn't wearing a mask.

Lovely setting, and welcoming staff. I tried the Spinach and Ricotta cheese pierogis and was not disappointed. Very tasty.
