Best rice and curry we had in Sri Lanka so far. Everything homemade with local vegetables. Can highly recommend. Lala and Shirani run the place and are super friendly. Will come back for sure! :)

Amazing place! Such a gem off the beaten road path. Lala is a great host and the food is SOO GOOD. Highly recommend. Different from all the other rice and curry places we have been. The spiced mango was my fav!! Lala also offers AC rooms and visa help!

Beautiful calm place. Peaceful vibes and healthy food. Lala and Shirani built a special place to feel like home. The food is so far the best I had in Sri Lanka. Just love it. They also offer cooking classes. I definetly will join one. Today Lala showed me their rooms for rental, because I asked for it. Very clean and comfortable double and family rooms. Beautiful place to stay in the green and relax. The beach is very close and like paradise. Woul definetly recommend :)

Top marks. Literally these are genuine and the kindest of hosts. Very reasonable cost that will dine you in quality. The meals consists of several bowls of really tasty foods where the delicate flavours have been thought about and perfected...Great stop for vegetarians as I opted for the vegetable curry. Literally top marks.

Family run place. Amazing rice and curry. Generous portions. Relaxed atmosphere. It’s BYO if you want alcohol. We were a mixed group of adults and kids and we all left stuffed and happy.

Lala and his wife are very kind hosts with a big heart! ❤️ We had a cooking class with Shirani and learned to prepare delicious meals! We ate there 3 times and food was always fresh and delicious! We also did a tuktuk tour with Lala and visited beautiful places, he speaks good English and is happy to share what he knows about the places we visited. I highly recommend visiting them! Hope to be back soon! ❤️

The tastiest Sri Lankan good we have had on our trip. We had fish & chicken curry. Both were delicious and we had 6 sides of wonderful sambal, mango chutney & some kind of amazing carmelized onion dish. The owner Lala and his wife are a great team. So happy we took a rainy ride on our scootie to come here!

We had such an amazing meal at Shirani, we both had the vegetable curries and then fried banana and can only recommend! Super tasty food and the owners were lovely

Here, I tried truly delicious curry. One of the main things is that the dish is moderately spicy, and this spiciness doesn't overpower the main flavor. The portions are huge, we ordered curry for two and barely managed to finish it.

The cooking lesson was great and we made a delicious curry. It's definitely worth it, not just to learn from Shirani and its family, but also to discover new flavors and techniques. Food is incredibly tasty, but it's even better when you know how to cook it. If you just go to eat or take a lesson, it's a great experience.

Wooow. What an experience. I’m not a red rice fan. I hated it. But here everything was changed. Fabulous Sri Lankan foods. The taste was super. Loved the place. Thanks to Lala had a great lunch after a long time. Highly recommended & visit the place and find out the true taste of Sri Lankan cuisine.

What a place, great food, great prices and very friendly staff. We had the veg currie spread, more than enough to go around for the two of us. Great traditional curries, pre prepared so no long waits. 1500lkr for 6 veg curries per person. Feb 23.

We have visited a dozen of rice and curry places in Southern and Middle Sri Lanka and I can surely say that Shirani’s rice and curry is the best we’ve tried. I mean literally best: good variety, taste, portions size. Lala and Shirani are really do their best to let you feel like home: service is attentive, tables, dishes are clean. Totally recommend!

Shirani should be your first stop in Weligama! Go for lunch and order as many curries as you can eat. The staff are friendly and the food is to die for!

Shirani is an amazing cook! They give the best rice & curry in Weligama, we were staying elsewhere but we ate there twice a day every day!! They also sell spices from a nearby farm. Lala is very friendly and provides tuktuk rides as well :) thank you
