The owners and staff are very friendly and helpful. The room is spacious, clean, with high ceilings and has a beautiful view on the rice fields and palm-trees. It's also not expensive at all, which is great. One of the best guesthouses I've been so far in Sri Lanka!

We only spend one night, but we had the most amazing stay. The place itself was beautiful located between rice fields, rooms spacious and clean and had a very authentic feel to it. The woman running the place, Yash, was incredibly helpful and lovely. She booked us a tuktuk guide, Jana, who took us around the town and to all the historical sites - he had a good knowledge of the town and was extremely helpful and attentive to our needs. We highly recommend Heaven Upon Rice Field.

Lovely peaceful accommodation at a good price. Hosts were superb organising tuk tuks several times. Room was clean and tidy. Bathroom is probably ready for a bit of a renovation. Shower door didnt close and light switch cracked. There was a kettle but no tea or coffee sachets and a tv bracket but no tv which was not a problem for us but the room was an upgrade advertised with these things. However still excellent value for the money and as mentioned the hosts were super helpful. Breakfasts were great as well.

Stayed here for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend you request room 202 which has the best view of the paddy fields. Thereโ€™s a roof deck with a spectacular 360 view of Anuradhapura. The location is superb as it is tucked away from the main street and a short car ride to the ancient city. The rooms are well maintained and beds very comfortable. The staff is friendly and have trustworthy contacts if youโ€™re in need of a ride locally. The breakfast is not to miss as they serve enough to make it through a sweaty day sightseeing. Thereโ€™s a great restaurant a quick tuk tuk ride away called Kamu Machan if you find yourself hungry during dinner time. Hope to stay here again on our next trip!!

Family run feel with helpful staff and stunning views. The staff were lovely and helpful and had a good group of tuktuk drivers including Munjo who was so good. The location is a bit out of the way but the view makes up for it. The building and restaurant/common area could be more functional/comfortable to make it more of a hang out space not just a meals area.

We had an amazing stay at Heaven upon rice fields. The hosts we're so kind and cooked us breakfast and dinner each night (had to ask for dinner during the day so they could prep) Room was lovely and clean - the odd insect but would expect that based on location. Lovely Balcony looking out on the rice fields. Good Air Con and a Mosquito net. Electric Kettle in the room with instant coffee and tea. Amazing rooftop view point looking over rice fields and can see all nearby stupas in the sacred city.

My boyfriend and I stayed here last year and loved it so much we came back this year ! The beds are very comfortable and they arrange nice tuktuk drivers to do the ancient city tours. Many thanks to Yash who was very helpful in trying to help us find our drone which crashed when flying it and the locals tried stealing it. She was very helpful and even offered to look for it over the next following days if we couldnโ€™t find it ๐Ÿ™

We stayed here for 3 nights and it was truly amazing - one of the best guest houses I have ever stayed at. The hosts (in particular Yash) were so kind, friendly, and accommodating. The service was absolutely fantastic and they helped us get into town and see the sights around Anuradhapura by calling us trustworthy tuk tuk drivers. The room was lovely and the balcony with views over the rice terraces was magical. We would recommend everyone to stay here for your trip to Anuradhapura and we hope to return some day.

We had a fantastic stay :) Yash was a very helpful and friendly host who made sure we had a great stay. She booked a very nice and honest tuk tuk driver and we had different excursions. Pradeep is a very good chef and the food was delicious. The room had amazing views to the rice fields. The AC worked perfectly. Thank you so much ๐Ÿ˜Š Monica and Jan

Wonderful homestay in the middle of rice fields close to Anuradhapura. Our room had the best balcony and view into endless rice fields - enjoy the sunrise. Simple but nice breakfast. We loved the juice! A special thanks to the most friendly staff. We felt more than welcomed, had the nicest conversations and were provided with so much valuable information. They further organized a great Tuktuk trip to Mihintale - you should definitely go there for sunset! All in all we would highly recommend this lovely hotel and would stay here again :)

The location of the villa makes the stay a nice experience. rooms are clean and service is excellent. The place is very popular among foreign guests. We took food from outside during our stay, so can't comment much on that. However given the standards they maintain that can't be bad either. The owner and his family are doing a great job in serving their guests.

This was very calm silent stay. Super clean rooms with very pleasant welcome and room service. Owner and his family was very friendly and supportive. Iโ€™m giving extra Star for this property because of the view from the room balcony & pleasant service. On site parking for 2 cars. Owner will arrange safe parking if you have more vehicles. Very close to all historical places in Anuradhapura. Now thery have generator also for powercuts.

We had a very nice stay here. Waking up with a view on the rice fields and wild peacocks was amazing! The people were also very nice here. Especially the curry dinner was nice! Tuktuk driver Lalit showed us a lot of nice places in town and is also an official guide so he told us a lot about the culture. Would definitely recommend to ask the owner to call Lalit, he knows him.

This is a wonderful place to be in if you are travelling to Anuradhapura and specially to visit the sacred town area. I have never ever seen such a humble and generous owner in any of the other guest houses or hotels across. The service was excellent and this place provides so much more than its value.

The owners are really friendly and nice people. The breakfast and lunch was delicious. They helped us with renting of a bike and arranged a car to take us to Trinkomalee. The view from room to the rice sheeld was great, peacock included ๐Ÿ˜ I would say that it worth it to be more far away from the city but on such a nice place. I really recommend it.

we definitely would come back again! + amazing place to be, the view! + very friendly and helpful host and its family (we could switch the room without a problem) + nice breakfast, we took the traditional one + big, modern rooms + really nice house (with its tower) - it's located outside the city and the streets are not really good for tuktuk. but if you drive carefully it's not that problem. this will be not a negative point for the accommodation!

Absolutely lovely place to stay when visiting the Anuradhapura sacred sites. The view of the ricefields gives a feeling of freedom when you wake up and the owners are very friendly and accommodating.

If you're looking for a place to stay over near Puja Nagaraya, Anuradhapura, i would recommend this place without a doubt. It's about 10mins drive away from Ruwanweli Seya. Clean rooms. Has a really good view. Price is actually cheaper than expected.

Seven of us stayed here for 2 nights. The rooms and views were quite lovely and each room had a private bathroom. The owner and staff were exceptional and even drove us to Negombo at the end of our visit. Def recommend Heaven upon rice field.
