Mana
Yoga
is
a
beautiful
little
sanctuary
in
Kuta.
I
didn’t
stay
in
the
accommodation
but
did
take
an
Ashtanga
class
and
had
breakfast
in
the
cafe
afterwards.
Teacher
Marilu
was
great
and
very
experienced,
really
adept
at
transferring
her
knowledge
of
Ashtanga
to
her
students.
You
can
tell
she
truly
cares
about
the
health
and
safety
of
her
class,
always
offering
alternative
poses
and
reminding
you
to
watch
out
for
overly
pushing
your
knees
or
back.
Her
experience
and
expertise
is
evident.
Compared
to
literally
anything
else
in
Kuta,
Mana
Yoga
is
relatively
expensive.
I
think
the
price
is
warranted
though,
as
the
quality
of
everything
is
great.
However
—
if
I
were
to
do
a
retreat
there,
I
wouldn’t
be
impressed
with
the
fact
that
the
accommodation
also
allows
children
and
that
it
is
relatively
busy.
Not
super
zen.
The
place
is
crowded
with
blonde
influencers
wearing
airpods
and
doing
yoga
more
for
the
‘gram
than
to
truly
dive
into
the
practice
—
I
saw
someone
on
the
mat
next
to
me
literally
texting
during
Ashtanga
class.
If
I
could
deduct
half
a
star
for
the
crowd
that
this
place
attracts
I
would.
Of
course
that’s
not
Mana
Yoga’s
fault,
but
if
they
marketed
it
a
little
more
clearly
(i.e.
stating
on
the
roster
that
Ashtanga
might
not
be
ideal
for
new
yoga
students
might
filter
out
the
people
who
text
during
class
and
swear
out
loud
because
a
pose
is
difficult…)
they
might
reach
a
higher
level
than
being
just
instagrammable.
