L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
is
definitely
a
4.5
for
us.
The
town
is
a
must
visit
if
you
are
in
the
Vaucluse
region
of
France.
As
usual,
we
found
ourselves
a
cafe
by
the
Sorgue,
to
see
people
going
by
and
chatting
with
the
locals
who
obligingly
spoke
to
us
in
English
after
hearing
us
fumbling
with
French.
😁.
We
strolled
along
the
streets
and
alleys
which
surprised
us
with
more
shops,
cafes
and
restaurants.
Bought
some
souvenirs
and
the
lady
at
the
shop
was
very
helpful
providing
us
information
on
the
best
places
to
see
lavender.
We
will
definitely
be
back
in
L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue
during
spring
and
lavender
season.
Next
we
visited
the
antique
shops
lining
the
main
road
and
Le
Village
des
Antiquaires
de
la
Gare.
For
antique
lovers,
don’t
miss
the
chance
to
get
your
hands
on
unique
pieces
for
your
collection.
This
town
brought
back
memories
of
Moret-sur-Loing,
which
we
visited
twice.
Although
both
have
their
unique
charms.
The
clear
water
in
the
Sorgue
is
really
amazing,
with
fishes
swimming
around.
We
really
hope
it
stays
that
way
for
a
long
time.
We
strolled
along
the
Sorgue
for
endless
photo
ops.
Last
but
not
least,
visit
the
church,
Église
Notre-Dame-des-Anges.
It
will
be
worth
your
while.
Feast
your
eyes
on
the
murals,
art
work
and
the
gold
winged
angels.
Kindly
make
a
donation
after
that.
Treat
it
as
entrance
fee
into
an
art
gallery,
and
for
a
good
cause.
L’Isle-sur-la-Sorgue,
where
lasting
memories
are
made.
