Amazing sandwiches with plenty of gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options. It was quite busy when we went, so be prepared for a bit of a wait. Definitely worth it though! The last spot to get food before Pleasant Bay if you’re going clockwise on the Cabot Trail.

This is a nifty little pit stop, but to be honest, we were a little disappointed by the food. We found the Potato Salad to be very bland except for the fact that they added a lot of dill. The Curry Tofu Broccoli Quinoa salad was ok but quite dry. Our favourite was the Spicy Peanut Soba Salad. The lady behind the counter was nice but encouraged us to choose ready-made items in the fridge over their menu items which was a little disappointing since we had our hearts set for some of the menu items. To their credit, the bread in our sandwiches were fresh and the Peri Peri chicken thigh was a nice option. We thought the prices were a little high compared to a few other similar spots in Cape Breton but enjoyed the outdoor patio.

Love this spot. Great food. Delightful proprietor. We picked up sandwiches, cookies, and drinks to pack for our hikes before entering the park each day. She had good drip coffee. And if you want an espresso drink stop at her husband’s place Freya and Thor.

We stopped at Last Chance Sandwich to grab some treats for after our hike. Great vegan options, but really, something for everyone. We got the Imposter Sandwich and it was AMAZING. We also got some treats by Syd Delicious which were the perfect dessert. Cute spot. Love the decor and the lady who served us was very friendly. I'm going to plan a trip just to get some more sandwiches soon!

Wonderful place with amazing sandwiches! Lobster roll was on some very tasty bread and (thankfully) not smothered in mayo so the lobster flavor came through. The vegan pulled port was so good. They have a wide variety of creative sandwiches available as well as a number of vegan options. There are also baked goods and a number of fun things in the store.

This place has GREAT sandwiches (the egg salad is to die for), wonderful baked goods (made by the owner) and a charming proprietor with a great smile, a warm manner and a delightful sense of humor. You leave the place wishing she would be your best friend--I suspect dinner at her place would be a night to remember!

Great food and great service at this little gem! We found this place after hiking the Skyline trail - what a great place with terrific and fresh food. Thoroughly enjoyed our meal and enjoyed taking to the staff - just a really well run cafe and store. Highly recommended!

I'm loyal to the bakery down the road whenever I'm hiking in the national park but it was Sunday and available. I will never hesitate to go back for another linch. Unbelievable! The bread they bake for each sandwich is unmatched. A great spot before or after a hike!
