Easily the worst place in France! Very disappointed with the drinks! The picture you see below was supposed to be "lemonade". They brought us this... which tasted like Seven Up. Very disappointed and would never recommend this to anyone. Everything was dirty and the tables the glass... HORRIBLE!!!

The perfect place in La Rochelle to dine, take a leisurely coffee and enj the people watching as well as the view. The friendly staff will welcome you whatever your choice. The newly renovated premises make this longtime favorite all the nicer. Enjoy,

Amazing restaurant. The food is good, the view is good, and on top of all that, the staff is amazing! I highly recommend this place (tuna steak is our recommendation)

Expensive but with good quality food. I give them 3 stars because after waiting for 45 minutes they told us that they had run out of the fish we had ordered. In any case, we changed the order and being sincere, everything was so tasty and good.

The food was ok but they don't get you what you order and when you ask to correct it, they simply ignore you !! And not to mention you need to wait ages for the server to come to you, you have to be sitting there stocking your waiter instead of enjoying your food

I'm really sorry, but we had an awful meal here. The fish starters had so much fruit, the delicate fish taste was lost. The scallops were all gritty and not seared. The sea bass was floating in water from the vegetables, which were just a mush with absolutely no crunch. Just really disappointing 😞

Ordered a seafood plate but the crayfish is not very fresh… Service was pretty bad. We paid everything but the waiter couldn’t find one of the receipt and just simply got angry to us. Not recommended.

completely not friendly stuff and not gluten friendly as well!! Couldn‘t even do a burger without bread. This has never happened to me in 10 years

Food was tasty (we had the tuna burger) and staff was efficient. As for the people that complained about "lemonade" in previous reviews, it's because what we call "limonade" in France is like 7 up, it's not the classical lemonade that you find in the US with water and lemon .

Horrible experience, do not recommend it: overpriced food and zero services. Waiters look bored with life and more interested in their phones than in serving you. Look around; there are much better places to have dinner at.

Stopped in for a glass of wine, stayed for a baked Camembert (and another bottle). The Camembert was lovely, the wine was decent if maybe a little more expensive than it should have been - but to be fair given the location I don’t think you could reasonably expect to pay much less. Importantly, the service was excellent

As a confessed sea food lover, id found my place right here at the Le Grand Rive! We ordered loads, and ate almost all of it, food is well prepared, presented and served. Staff are polite, helpful and professional. The menus are extensive with lots to chose from, everyone will find something theyll enjoy.The location is great too, right in front of the vieux port. The prices were reasonable.

Nice location, good service. Excellent "special" as per photo and prawns with noodles good as well. Wife's fish overcooked though, hence the 4*.

Maybe too classical, or maybe the special wasn't as good as it could.. anyway, good welcoming and view on the Rochelle harbor

We had an amazing experience at La Grande Rive! The service and generosity was outstanding. Highly recommended! We even lost our phone close by at the end of the evening and the owner spent half an hour helping us to track it down, walked way down the street and translated for us at midnight. Super lovely!
