Food is good but the service is pretty bad. Too many waiters with conflicting tasks. They lack organization and efficiency. Running around like headless chickens The place has a great scenery over the old port. However they are victim of their place and you will have to wait both to be seated and to receive the food

Very rude waitress. We did go there to eat something. They did offer "tout le heure" - all around the hour food, but in the end we did leave with empty stomachs. The waitress didn't want to deal with us and most the time when we did try to speak to her she did turn around and leave. The restaurant wasn't busy at all. She did bring us drinks and directly demanded for us to pay, we did try to explain to her that we also wanted to eat but she wasn't having it. So we ended up with empty stomachs, overpriced drinks and in a bad location, directly by the street.

We loved the food, the people and the location at the foot of the tour de l'horloge. We had the burger du dames which was very good. The burger was home made with cheddar, bacon and tomato and the fries were home made too. We'll be back.

The food, the service, the location and the decoration were all on point! Great menu with a varied choice of food and drink, everyone will find something of their liking to eat and drink! For the sweet treat i chose the cafe gourmand ... oooh la laaaa... fab! Just superb!

The locationand patio perfect for people watching. The croque vegetarian was very good and mixed side salad with balsamic abonus. The soleil verte tea cold was weak.

Service 7 stars There mussels - moules marinières - and tuna steak are simply heavenly! Great service - amazing spirt & humor among service personal despite of large number of guests asking for their continuous and immediate attention - thanks for an amazing evening!! Don't miss their cidre!!

The mussels were ok but we had a charcuterie + cheese assortment and was completely random.

Service was very busy, but we got what we asked for when we managed to get the guy to understand us - in my rusty French. Memo to self: never ask for courses out of order. Fish burger was mediocre, soup tepid! Don't let them take away the cutlery unless you know they're coming back! Also if you want a second drink, it may take a while.

Ate there on a very busy Sunday! Service was very prompt and attentive. Food and drink orders were taken quickly, which was very much appreciated since we were eating with a toddler. The food was delicious! We ordered the burger , the dames salad and mussels. Highly recommend !

We ate here twice, first time for a light lunch, the having been impressed, we returned for our anniversary dinner. Great value, great service, lovely friendly staff, excellent selection of wine, lovely food, desserts with booze in! Highly recommended!

My fish meal Salmon and grenadine was good however Pips let the restaurant down scorched chicken and well overdone chips which the waiter just shrugged at

La Rochelle has a lot of mediocre restaurants. You could spend a lot of time walking around them trying to choose which to go to. Not good if you have tired hungry kids. We settled on Brasserie des Dames and it had the right balance of price, choice and quality. Service was friendly and fast enough. Also a good spot for people watching. The Moules frites were good. Other restaurants with a port view will change 3-4€ more for the same moules! You do not need to pay more that 11€ for basic module frites in La Rochelle.

I'm not picky if it's about the food, but I have to say it was REALLY dissapointing. I had medium minced steak with fries. Waiting time was very long, steak was barely warm, dry and testeless, 100% frozen, fries way overcoocked, most of them burnt. First time in my life i didnt finished my meal, even burgers from weatherspoons are better...
