I slept in this hotel for two nights. The location is amazing, it's twenty minutes walking distance from the city center. It's old but clean. Price for one night it's cheap so it's good for a quick stay, but no longer than two nights because the place is very old and not very comfortable, from bed to toilet.

Good points: very central, cheap, mostly comfortable beds etc. Cons: decor is old school at best, no light in bathroom so had to shower in the dark, no ventilation in room, mosquito central at night, reception is like a ghost town at all times and is not really manned. Mystery doorbell to get in. Gains a star due to cost and low expectations that come with the territory. Fine as a base for weekend mainly spent out and about, but no brownie points.

Worst hotel experience I've had. First day I was met with a lady that seemed rather impatient to my poor French, but all right, it happens. Room has a strong smell, and the wifi never worked, the place is very noisy and you can hear people screaming and walking on the hallways. Second day I was woken up by cleaning personnel at around 9:30 am, as she opened the door. Next day at around the same time and as I was taking a shower I heard somebody knocking on the door. I opened as soon as I could, and the lady from the first day very snarkly asked if I was deaf because I wasn't answering the door, in a bad mood she said it was cleaning room time and that the next day (my last) I had to be out by 10 exactly, as if sleeping late or staying in my room in the morning was somehow a problem. There were no 'no disturb' signs available. Locarion is ok, but public transportation in Bordeaux is very good anyway. I wouldn't recommend this place to anybody, rude staff and not good rooms, I don't see how they are still in business.

Upon entry of Hotel du Parc, on a quiet street near the heart of the city, my wife and I were stuck as the doorbell didn’t work. We called the hotel and the receptionist answered. Our room did not correspond to the price per night whatsoever. For context, it is 38 degrees (Celsius!!), there is a fan the size of my head, a dead mosquito inside the nightstand. I understand that hotels are meant for sleeping, not for lounging in the entire day. I REALLY wish I slept. The weather dropped 10 degrees at night, so my wife and I opened the windows to get some sleep. We woke up 5 hours later to at least 10 mosquitos in our room eating us alive. Girl I had a panic attack!!! Wife managed to kill most of the mosquitos, who profited off the humidity and lack of ventilation in the building. Sleep was not possible for a few more hours, when we decided to cut our three night stay short to one night and book another hotel (du theatre, highly recommend!!). Do not come in the summer, and do not come to avoid a true scam. The first photo is of a tissue with my tears and a mosquito. The second is the RIDICULOUS translation of the rules in English. Please read it.
