Woods Hotel

Enjoyed the stay, friendly staff, room exceeded expectations! Bathroom felt like it belongs to a hotel a few classes more expensive. Revisiting the hotel I was quickly faced with the fact that the quality of the rooms did not change. it's also a pleasure if the host recognizes you from a visit a year earlier!

Out of the way, but great value for money, and great conveniences. I stayed here on a business trip on a weekday. The hotel is quite out of the way, but on the plus side, that makes it surprisingly quiet. For the price, the conveniences (a horrible buffet next door, but a nice lounge in the hotel with coffee, tea and snacks and very comfortable seating) were great value. The Wifi was spotty, but functional. The heating was great, and very appreciated on a cold January day. Hot water was great, both in temperature and pressure - the shower even had a waterfall shower head, which was luxurious! Lots of towels, seating, and power outlets available in the room, as well as a safe - all conveniences well above the budget.

The towels are thin and old, the walls and carpet in the hallways are dirty. There’s a phone in the room, it doesn’t work. The rooms are very hot. The owner also owns the buffet attached to the hotel and that’s where you will find him when it’s open. He is not at the hotel to provide customer service. The buffet is average at best, not worth the $30 he charges. If you stay on the weekend be forewarned that you will not find parking until the buffet closes and the owner does not care. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy.
