We stopped in for lunch on a whim. This is a local Caribbean inspired restaurant. You get good value for price here. The food was fresh, seasoned, and cooked nicely. They serve generous portions. There's patio seating and indoor dining. I didn't feel welcomed initially. Only after a couple of conversations with our waitress did I feel more welcomed. They are very laid back here, so do not expect quick service.

This place was recommended by our rental car place. It lived up to the hype and expectations. This picture I posted was the jerk chicken and my wife got the ox tail. Everything including the sides were amazing. Best food on the island I highly recommend it. In addition to the the great food the staff were so personable and kind.

Amazing food! One of the top 2 best places I've eaten on my 3 trips to Aruba. It's worth the drive from wherever else on the island you may be staying. The service runs more on "island time" than some of the other places in Aruba but the food makes the wait well worth it.

It's great Jamaican food. The place has great service and a great atmosphere. The jerk chicken was sublime. You judge Jamaican restaurants on jerk chicken. This passed the test. The goat curry was my favorite. Exceptional. The sides from peas and rice to roti were great. Do not miss the coconut flan. The average meal with gratuities is around $30 a person.

After a few days of being disappointed with the food at a all inclusive resort. I finally decided to ask a local where to go for really good food. O’Neil Caribbean kitchen was recommended by a few other locals as well. This restaurant is jumping with people, and even still the wait wasn’t long at all to get a table. The service was wonderful. You are greeted with smiles and the waitress was patient. I had a lot of questions on what to try. So glad I came to this restaurant. I will be coming back again on my next visit to Aruba. Jerk chicken- flavor was out of this world. I enjoyed that there was, just the right amount of spiciness of the entree. I do feel if the chicken was cook just a tab more (I prefer the chicken to fall of the bone) You wouldn’t be able to find any flaw on this entree. Oxtails- was also prepared really well and the sauce was amazing. Again if the oxtails was cook a little bit longer. So that the meat falls right off the bone. This entree would be hands down the best on the island. Carrot cake- I was expecting a cake that looks like a American carrot cake. But instead, I get a carrot cake that looks similar to sweet potato pie. I take one bite, and instantly forgot all about a American carrot cake. This Caribbean carrot cake is my new found love.

4*5*23 Attended this restaurant from strong recommendation from hotel staff for a birthday celebration. The restaurant was quaint and decorated nicely, and the staff was friendly but not very attentive. No one came to check if we were ok, bring napkins, or refill water. The food was good but definitely didn't warrant the raves it received. But, it was way better than hotel food! Pleasant dining experience nonetheless, I recommend.

Their ox tail is a must try! Good location also. The reason why I only gave 4 stars is because we ate outside and there were lots of flies (not their fault)

Wow. The food was so good that we came twice during our stay even though our Airbnb was 40 min away. We got jerk chicken and stew chicken both times. The coconut shrimp was also great. 10/10 best meal on the island.

Was worth the cab ride and was one of the best meal we had in Aruba. Highly recommend the jerk pork of you like spice and the oxtail. Will definitely come back when we visit again.

Since we have been to this island a few times over the years, hubby and I are on the hunt on local Aruban food this time around. O’Niel is definitely one of the local joint we would recommend and come back again. Simple decor, cozy and chill vibe inside. The staffs are nice and very friendly. And the food we had were amazing! I had a cool Crazy 4 year cocktail while we checked out their menu. The Oxtail Stew with Beans was delicious and Red Snapper Whole Fish although a bit dry but was really tasty. Both dishes come with rice & beans, and we both left with a happy stomach!

Ordered take out. Would probably suggest calling ahead rather than standing around. It is very busy in there. Of course the San Nicolas murals outside are fun to look at. We were recommended escargot and it came is a different savory brown sauce. Lobster was great. Brown stew chicken was good. Service was really friendly. There were several large parties celebrating birthdays.

I decided to surprise my husband with a trip to Aruba for his birthday. I wanted to take him somewhere different and special for his birthday dinner. The hotel we were staying in highly recommended O’Niel Caribbean Kitchen. I really want to know why. The service was actually none existent and our waitress was terrible. It was like she DID NOT want to be there. She never came back to check on us and I had to ask other waitresses when we needed something including the bill. As for the food. When we received our food it was cool close to cold. The salad was actually warmer than the food 🤦🏽‍♀️🤦🏽‍♀️. We had the jerk chicken which had a good favor but the meat was very fatty, tough and borderline cold. They did sing Happy Birthday to my husband and the cake was actually tasty. When it came to bringing the cake and singing Happy Birthday our waitress was no where around. We drove 40 minutes to get to this place. I hate to say I will not be back. I don’t know where all the good reviews are coming from but hopefully it will get better.

We were looking forward to a Carribbean restaurant but unfortunately we didn't really enjoy this one. Calamari was chewy, meats over cooked, chicken wings dry.... Service didn't help, feels no one wants to be there actually. We might have come to dinner on a bad day for the restaurant.

They close at 8pm and were still taking walk-in at 7:40, don’t let the lady on the phone discourages u. Everything from jerked chicken, oxtails to red snapper in brown stew were excellent. I would skip the curry goat!

Authentic Jamaica food. Full of flavors. Best food so far in Aruba. From seasoning of meat & fish to rice and sweet plantains…definitely will fall in love with any meal of your choice. The service was excellent. There are lot murals around the restaurant.

I am in love with this spot. The location is great, the food is amazing, and everyone is friendly. The food was so good that we went back the next day for lunch and they didn’t disappoint. You can sit inside or outside and both are equally good. Inside has AC and outside is shaded with a view of beautiful street art. They also have a kids menu so they are indeed kid friendly! You can also park right nice to the restaurant but there aren’t many parking spaces.

Hidden gem. The best of the best food you could find in the island. The food is excellent as well as the service. I had the escargot to start then the snapper. They were both to die for. This place is the best. 🙌

Amazing food. PERIOD. Service is always perfect, food is always on point, and the staff is very friendly and accommodating. Always looking forward to this place with my friends. The staff…omg! I wish I remembered names but I know my dancing had them laughing! I miss them

We had the jerk chicken and it was delicious, but spicy at all. The beer was good and e sat outside under all this shade. I would recommend this place to anyone. We took in some of the murals.
