Greater Iqbal Park previously known as Miner-e-Pakistan ground. It is historical place where the resolution of Making Pakistan passed by the All India Muslim league in 1940. Minar-e-Pakistan which is also known as the “Tower of Pakistan” is an open landmark placed in Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan. The tower was built throughout the 1960s on the site where, on 23 March 1940, the All-India Muslim League passed the Lahore Resolution, the first official call for a differentiate country for the Muslims living in the South Asia, as per the two country theory. The tower reflects a mix of Mughal, Islamic and present day structural engineering. It is much crowded place on weekends and public holidays as people's of all around the Pakistan visiting this place. There is too much Fun activities for Children and Families. Recommended time to visit is November to March due to weather conditions.

This is amazing and superb park. Lush greenery and lost this historical buildings and tomb are located here. It was a fantastic experience. There was a lot of clean and peaceful co-operative staff there. There is only one thing that is noticeably absent. There isn't an ATM in sight. Everything else is fine; there is plenty of parking, and we enjoyed our time there.

Pakistan's first and premier monument, a historical place. Resolution of Pakistan was being formulated at this very place. Minar e Pakistan is also the symbolism of Lahore city as well. Right along side this few very amazing and historical places as well, like, The Badshahi Msoque, Shahi Qila and a Gurwara.

In Iqbal Park in Lahore, Pakistan, stands the Minar-e-Pakistan, popularly referred to as the "Tower of Pakistan." On the spot where the Lahore Resolution, the first official proclamation of a distinct country for Muslims residing in South Asia, according to the two country theory, was enacted on March 23, 1940 by the All-India Muslim League, the tower was constructed during the 1960s. The structure of the skyscraper combines elements from Mughal, Islamic, and modern structural engineering. On weekends and public holidays, the area is often packed with visitors from all around Pakistan. There are too many enjoyable activities available to families and kids.

Previously known as Minto Park (منٹو پارک) and Iqbal Park (اقبال پارک). This park has a great importance in the history of Pakistan as Pakistan Resolution or Qarar-Dad-e-Pakistan (قرار داد پاکستان) was passed here on March 23, 1940. After passing of Pakistan Resolution the struggle for independent country for Muslims was boosted. There is also the shrine مزار of famous poet Hafeez Jalandhary (حفیظ جالندھری) who is the author of Pakistan National Anthem (قومی ترانہ). Minar-e-Pakistan (مینار پاکستان) was built here after the creation of Pakistan. Badshahi Mosque (بادشاہی مسجد) and Shahi Fort (شاہی قلعہ) is situated adjacent to Greater Iqbal Park (گریٹر اقبال پارک). In past there was a road which separated the Iqbal Park (اقبال پارک) and Badshahi Mosque (بادشاہی مسجد) but now that road has been removed and Iqbal Park(اقبال پارک) and Badshahi Mosque (بادشاہی مسجد) and Shahi Fort (شاہی قلعہ) comes under one piece of land visitors can enjoy all these beautiful and historical places from one entry. Visitors can also enjoy dancing founatains here at Greater Iqbal Park on every evening.

Minar-e-Pakistan  is a national monument located in Lahore, Pakistan. The tower was built between 1960 and 1968 on the site where the All-India Muslim League passed the Lahore Resolution on 23 March 1940 - the first official call for a separate and independent homeland for the Muslims of British India, as espoused by the two-nation theory. The resolution eventually helped lead to the emergence of an independent Pakistani state in 1947.

Historical place for Pakistanis and Muslim of Hindustan turned Pakistanis has some special emotions for minar e Pakistan All around the Pakistan and also around the Pakistanis Muslims visits minar e Pakistan to see historic place which have some place in their hurts people of other countries foreigners from other countries also visits minar e Pakistan to see. It's situated on Ravi road many other historical places are also around like badshahi mosque and shahi qila around minar e Pakistan. It is also called walled city of Lahore and actually it is the real Lahore which has all the old and history places relates to Muslim emperor mughals era. You can access to minar e Pakistan from Ravi road if you coming towards walled city from mall road to lower mall from railway station too and from shahdara too it is the main hub of Lahore. Pakistan resolution was passed here and it was utmost step towards making Pakistan. Now if you want to know what's the update so I want to tell you that it is became now greater Iqbal park after sharifs converted it into a greater park created new parks in it and making a new little lake within and new history museum Pakistan history named. History started from East India company entering Hindustan and leaving Hindustan and finally making of India Pakistan struggle of Muslims is in it. A nice place to visit.

Definitely Its Lahore's tourist spot. But the management needs to improve the basics there. First the parking sign is quite threatening saying " vehicles get stolen from here and we don't take any responsibility" what rubbish is that... Then is the management of badshahi Masjid.. The shoe racks are disturbing point for entrants as it can get stolen too... So u Better keep ur shoes in some bag and carry inside... As many ppl do.. Then inside the mosque there is separate mafia for collecting the "chanda for Masjid"... Really.... Badshahi Masjid will be using peoples money for its restoration purposes???? Where is oqaf and other organizational... There is a long walk if u want to go inside to the the places like Minar itself. Which is not a good option for families with kids.. I could only show them while on the tram. And the good thing.... I found the thappay wali mehndi there for my kids 😍😍

It is a historic place for Pakistanis and the name of the park is dedicated to our national poet Allama Iqbal. It is a food place to visit if you are interested in historical places. Minaar-e-Pakistan is also here as a memory and reminder of Pakistan Resolution. As a Pakistani, you should visit the Greater Iqbal Park.

Iqbal park was first known as manto park. There were only play grounds here. And a minarate was situated as a symbol of independence to remember 23 March 1940 Pakistan resolution. Here, that resolution was passed which resulted in the formation of Pakistan. Atvthe very same place where leadership of muslim league stood, Minar e Pakistan built. Government of Shahbaz Shareef built a much large park here in the name of Paistan's National poet Allama Iqbal ho gave the idea of Pakistan. Now there are beuatiful scene in this park. An artificial lake, dancing fountain, Pictures of heroes who did political struggle for Pakistan with their stories, a museum and much more. Walls of Shahi fort are attached with the park. You pass through the park to go badshahi mosque as well, where tomb of national poet Allama Iqbal is also situated. If you visit Lahore, it is a must visit plaece with your children. So they can get familier with history.

Greater Iqbal Park (Urdu: اقبال پارک‎), formerly Minto Park, is an urban park located in the outskirts of the Walled City in Lahore, Pakistan.[disputed – discuss] Before current renovations and expansion its name was Iqbal Park. Noted as the home of Minar-e-Pakistan, the 125-acre park includes an artificial lake which spreads over four acres which includes an 800-feet-long musical fountain. Other attractions includes a soft rail, library, an open-air gym and a food court. The tombs of Allama Iqbal and Hafeez Jalandhari are also located in the park. Renovation and Expansion Along with renovation of the Minar-i-Pakistan (Pakistan Resolution Movement), the project features expansion of the Iqbal Park by including it in the stretch of Circular Road between the park and Lahore Fort. The 125 acre green oasis is surrounded almost entirely by the old city of Lahore. The project was started on 10 October 2015 and was completed on 9 November 2016 incurring a total cost of PKR 981 million as quoted by the contractor of the project. The construction project was awarded to Habib Construction Services which is one of the largest construction companies of Pakistan and have worked on several other mega projects previously. Also history museum and an outdoor amphitheater are under construction inside the park premises.

Coincidentally, I have been there on Sunday and i was not expecting such type of rush there in the early dusk.Well there was not such proper system at entrance gate. No such proper lines were being made. There were long queues but it was my first time so i joined that long queue that was very first and closest to the Park boundary because that was running quickly instead of others queues being made and also there was a reason behind to choose that queue actually i saw some of lads got beaten by the guard at entrance gate so try to avoid intruding into queue and properly follow the rules. Well it was all over good experience in Greater Iqbal Park. And if you're using Metro so you could face a long queue for getting token if you don't have card. Try to buy extra tokens in start of your journey so you'll not have to face such type of difficulty there and could save your precious time.

Nice historical place, nice park BUT poor cleaniness conditions mainly due to ill mannered people visiting the place. A beautiful well organized National History Museum. A very good place to let kids know about Pakistan history. Overall a good place to visit.

Full of history. Lahore Fort, Badshahi Masjid built by Mughal empirers. Minar i Pakistan built by Pakistanis in rememberance of Pakistan resolution passed under leadership of Quaid i Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Muslims in India are more in number than Muslims of Pakistan. In India Muslims are largest minority but are not being treated like human beings. Being massacred in all parts of India, especially in Indian Gujrat and Indian held Kashmir. ALLAH TERA SHUKRIA TUO NAY HAMMAY PAKISTAN DIAA.

Greater Iqbal Park (Urdu: اقبال پارک‎), formerly Minto Park, is an urban park located in the outskirts of the Walled City in Lahore, Pakista. Before current renovations and expansion its name was Iqbal Park.

The park was dirty with a trash flying everywhere. The Minar-i-Pakistan has been barbed wire. Some artistic wall in the park has been badly damaged. I took my children first time to the park but got disappointed and was unable to find any historical marks or nothings around it. Maybe it was my bad day in this park.

Minar e Pakitsan is the main attraction. The Park itself is beautiful and maintained. Good place for families with kids. During summer visiting during the day isn't recommended at all. Bases on experience, I will recommend to be vary of the scammers/photographers and the food stalls. Better bring food/beverages with you as the prices inside the park are inflated by 300-400%. The photographers will approach you causally at first, till you lose a good amount of money for the badly taken, unwanted photos. You may hire a horse carriage if you don't like walking around the whole park area. There is a history measum situated inside the park as well. The park is around Minar-e-Pakistan but there is a iron grill wall around Minar-e-Pakistan and it is gated. Hence it wasn't possible to go near. If you want to visit Badshi mosque and Lahore Fort, you may go directly from the gate locted inside Park. Park is surrounded by busy roads, so expect exhaust fumes and noise of the traffic. As a tourist in Lahore visiting Minar-e-Pakistan is crossed on my list, hence might not visit the park again.

👍👍 Awesome place to visit with kids. We enjoyed a lot there. One thing i couldn’t understand that you are allowed to take pictures but not the video. Could understand the logic behind this decision. Highly recommended Tip: send some one in the morning to get tickets as they only sell a limited number...
