3 words- "old El paso" I was super excited to get some tacos especially since the selection in this area of the country is slim... I entered the restaurant and it had a great cantina atmosphere. The hostess/cashier/waitress was of an ethnic background and extremely friendly, my hopes were up! I ordered 3 beef tacos off the menu and waited 10 minutes. They showed up with great presentation... HOWEVER, once I started on them I soon realized I had absolutely nothing more than an old El paso taco 😢 My hopes were crushed and my wallet is too...

No one on line waited a few minutes to be attended to ordered only two things on the menu the drink was great the tacos came out right away, great right no they were sitting for who knows how long they gave us the wrong tortillas and a dry cold chicken with od taco and stale chips definitely not coming back, edit after writing this review I literally darted to their bathroom to throw up which didn’t have any soap or a place to dry your hands I found out my girlfriend found a bug at the bottom of her margarita so cancel out the drink being great had a complete terrible experience to start off our day

Pablo's. What can I say about this Mexican spot in Lake George? Let's start with the store made chips/nachos. They tasted like the noodles you get from a Chinese restaurant. The tacos. Flavorful yes, but being they are portioned out as explained, you cannot mix and match. If you want chicken, all three have to be chicken. Decent portion though the tacos have lettuce, tomatoes and cheese. Um yeah. The quesidilla was good. Would I recommend eating here? If you crave that taco or burrito and can eat three tacos being you cannot order just one, go for it. Again good portion size as you can see from the photos. Yes the chicken was flavorful.

My family is a mix family and the staff here were talking in Spanish they charged for the food ahead of time and then in Spanish said "ask them for the tip ahead of time because people like this don't tip". Meaning Spanish people. I have never been discriminated against before in my life, specifically for my own people. The owners name is Jack, and he has two restaurants, Jack's Brett. Mexican cuisine is always great when done the right way. I ordered chicken enchiladas and it was very disappointing. Beans had no flavor. Rice was so hard to chew due to how hard it was and flavorless. As for the Taco bowl please don't mislead people just call it a salad. No tortilla was found in it. The tacos order was wrong. I specifically asked for only a bit of lettuce but was given cheese which made it difficult to find the chicken that was tasteless. If I had no taste buds then I would say it is awesome but that is not the case.

This is a fake Mexican food. They don’t even try to make real. The guacamole I was not sure what is it but, isn’t guacamole the same with the pico de gallo. The only Mexican thing there are the name and the tortillas. Very horrible and nasty taste. Do not expect anything else. Very expensive. Don’t waste your money.

The burrito was good and the quesadillas even better servers were friendly too. Can't go wrong with that combination

I came to Lake George for a half day outing. My last visit was more than ten years ago. Beautiful day outside. Lunch was going to be the highlight of my day. I ordered the taco salad with pork and a glass of water for a whopping $14 after tax. Totally disappointing!!! Portion size is very small and I felt cheated out of my money. My heart sank when they brought it to the table. It tasted OK, however, for the price, it is not worth it at all. I read the other reviews with similar complaints. The owner always puts the same response that the trade off is high quality ingredients and flavor. Maybe the owner should listen to the complaints and make a change - rather than defending a tiny amount of meat, lettuce, tomato, and cheese. I could buy a bowl at Moe's Southwest Grill with a drink for $11 and leave full. They offer a much larger selection of toppings for much less money. I never left a restaurant mad until today! I personally do not recommend this restaurant. Thank you for reading.

While in lake George for the day, we decided to try this place as there weren’t any lines/wait in comparison to every place else. Needless to say this should’ve been telling to my family, but we decided to give it a try. Worst decision ever. Food was very overpriced, bland, oily and flat out DISGUSTING. Within half an hour or so of eating here, both myself and fiancé became ill with upset stomach, diarrhea and vomiting (neither one of us had any issues all day until we ate here). We had to end our time in lake George and head home, where we both have been confined to the bed with excruciating stomach pains and making multiple trips to the restroom. We will NEVER go back there again and wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.

Staff was friendly and ambience is also good, prices are moderate but taste of food was very Poor. It was not as per the expectations. Hopefully next time it will be better experience.

The food came quickly there was a lot of food to eat and it tasted delicious. Would highly recommend going to this resturant! It also was very good with social distancing.

I highly recommend people NOT to come to this restaurant not because of the food nor the atmosphere but because of the nasty young lady on front with the black hair and glasses she was discriminative towards my brother in law just because the tone of his skin and proceeded to speak Spanish about him with her peers in front of me not knowing I was understanding everything. To the owner, I recommend better staff because the place is nice and the set up in the back room is great but it is a shame that your staff makes your restaurant a place not to go.

This place is horrible I order a burrito and I was taking a bit and I felt something off and I took a look at my burrito and I found a big bug the employee maddy was racist she was making fun of a women’s english and was making fun of her with other customers and she was saying of course the lady is getting a burrito and was making fun of Hispanic people

I paid 42$ for 2 bottled drinks, quesadilla, and a “kids quesadilla”.. and when they say kids they mean infant. I don’t write reviews but this was WILD 😂. They gave me a box of fries with a half of a half of a quesadilla. When I asked if this was actually how they served it they said “it’s mini” .. they weren’t lying.. looked like the hit it with a shrink ray 😂. Alright I’m done see photos for the food they serve

Probably the worst queso dip I've ever had. Would have preferred straight cheese wiz. Also wildly overpriced. $55 for 2 people (1 entre each, 1 drink each, "queso" dip). Had to go get food elsewhere afterwards. Prime location, hopefully the owners can turn it arounf.

We just had margaritas on the patio (the strawberry one was fantastic!), But their food selection looked good and reasonable.

We went there for the Labor Day weekend 2019 . The food was so blend and so boring. The margaritas tastee but more ice than margarita. Anyways I hope who ever buy this place make it amazing like supose to be!!

The tacos are like an american version of Mexican food. I dont think I saw anyone Latino working in that restaurant. I'm Latina and that was no where near Mexican. But it's not like it tastes terrible either. It's just not mexican

This place was terrible. The chips were like crackers the guacamole was the worst I have ever had. Kids bean quesadillas was literally whole canned black beans with cheese. No flavor at all. The table was dirty. The margaritas were terrible. I will never go there again.

I ordered the Carnitas burrito with guac- It was delicious. I didn’t like the salsa personally but the chips were good. Great customer service, food came out quickly and it was very flavorful. Great decorations, there is indoor/out door seating as well as takeout.

The soda that was in the cooler was warm and about to expire. everyone’s taco/burrito was dripping for some reason like actually spilling so much meat juice and it was kinda nasty. And at 16.99 for one burrito it’s not worth the visit..we were all starving but nobody could even manage finish their food.

We were the first order today. So friendly on the phone and in person. Staff was so helpful as we are not from here and are up on vacation. Gave great information for our evening today. Service was excellent. Food came out so fast. And the food oh my. So delicious the best we have had yet. Don't change a thing my entire party loved all their lunch and cannot stop talking about it. They could not stop eating it even though they were so full. Thank you so much for taking the extra time and to look for the right size tshirt also. Your all great.

We visited the Cantina over the weekend. The visit was nice and food was good. The chips were stale but the gluten free taco shells and chicken were very good. I was a bit shocked at the pricing though since 3 tacos, beans and rice and two cooler drinks shouldn't have been $28 We split the meal.

UPDATE: when you’re wrong you’re wrong. Well I went back and got chips with the fajita bowl and the chips are the same as the fajita bowl they used to make. The food was so delicious! I brought one home to my husband and he loves it! We will continue to go there and recommend I stopped in today after I haven’t been here in a few years they used to make the fajita bowels in a eatable shell. They stopped giving you the shell. Who does that? Have the same menu and change how they make it?! It’s too expensive to not include the shell It still taste really good and the steak has a really good flavor and is tender. But definitely won’t be back to pay $19 for no shell

I ordered a burrito and it took 1/2 hour , it was horrible, didn’t even eat it ! We also ordered fries. , that was the only thing that was good. I ask for ketchup and they told me they didn’t have so I started eating them like that .once I was almost done they came up with ketchup and told me sorry, yeah right. I also ordered passionfruit margarita and it didn’t even taste like passion fruit. I have been to many Mexican restaurants and this is considered like the worst one ever ,I mean it should not even get one star. And don’t tell me you’re sorry I will never ever go there again and I will tell all my friends so don’t even stop there because I have read all your reviews and I understand if you have one or two bad reviews OK ,you can’t please everybody but this is ridiculous they should close down the store. So many people cannot be wrong to see the place is no good.

So, we drove from Long Island, NY to spend a couple of days at Lake George and decided to try this place without reading reviews. BIG mistake. This place is grossly over priced and the quality of the food is absolute garbage. The food is not fresh and the quantity is a joke. I think they use same oil to fry their food for a week. My advice to the owner is 'stop being so greedy. Get a new chef. Provide better quality and quantity.

I don't even know where to start. My husband and I ordered the macho nacho, expecting a great dish we've enjoyed many many times in NYC. Rather we got a dish that was not even fit for a dog to eat. The nachos were clearly old, they were brittle and soaked in oil. The cheese and beans tasted hard. And.... we didn't even get our shredded beef as ordered. Worst nacho EVER! If it wasn't that I was on vacation to lake George and tired, I would have went back demanded my money back. Really unacceptable Pablo Burrito Cantina!!!

The cooks at this restaurant are the worst, we call for an order 20 minutes before arriving, once there the order was not made by the Cookson it was gonna take an extra 30 minutes. On top of that they’re eating while making the food which is king of gross. They asked if we wanted to place an order after seen the cooks eat while preparing food for customers we decided not to eat at this place.

And we are a family who does not eat large meals. We always have leftovers at restaurants and we are the ones wishing restaurants in US serve smaller portions. Still we found their entries too small so that says something. Just Awful!

Have eaten at plenty of Mexican food restaurants. Honestly your better off going to Taco Bell. Ordered fajita bowls with steak. To begin with the guacamole you could tell was out of a can or jar. The tortilla chips out of a bag. Everything about it is not restaurant style. Very disappointing.

If you’re debating coming here, don’t. Just keep walking, save yourself.

The food was really tasty. The service was great, food came on time and the workers were very nice. The outdoor seating was clean and comfortable.

The woman who took our order was very nice. But the food has next to no flavor. Between the tacos and the burrito, it tastes like nothing. I’d recommend going anywhere else in Lake George. I spent $60 for poor quality food. The owner replies and says “this isn’t usually the quality of service we provide”, but as you can see many others feel the same way about the food here.

I had to bro, the food is the worst. I paid $62 dollars for 2 very nasty veggie catalina bowls and veggie quesadillas. I mean its not even like "ok." It's literally horrible. It's so bad, someone needs to call the health inspector. I'm submitting this review because this is not right. You can't serve food like this to people and I would like to have seen a review like this before I threw away $62.

Horrible service and horrible food

It was really tasteless and unappealing. We had four different meals and the only thing that was even decent were the fries. I had the fajita bowl and could barely eat it. The bowl was stale, the meat tasted leftover, and nothing was good. It tasted cheap yet it wasn’t. Do yourself a favor and keep walking. I strongly recommend passing this one up.

So I ordered over $80 worth of food and the food condition was terrible, they didn’t clean the grill, they put two pieces of meat in a $15 bowl and then I told them that I wasn’t please with the bowls. They told me no refund and they can’t make the bowls over, so I lost all that money. Terrible for business

We were looking for last minute Mexican and we were very happy with our choice. They were ready to close and graciously took our group of 6 for a to go order. All 6 of us loved our food and our fish bowl margarita was super yum! Thank you so much for a great meal!
