We celebrated my husband’s birthday dinner and had a beautiful evening. The only thing I noticed was that the prices have gone up and the birthday discount did not the cowgirl steak was the birthday steak in the past now it’s steak tips. That was a tad bit disappointing but other than that we were pleased.

Our experience tonight was not as good as it could have been. The reasons for 3 stars now is the fact that the manager went out of his way to make sure we come back and try it again. They are interested in a great client experience. I'll follow up and edit my response within a few weeks. Update, went back on December 15. Everything was perfect. Dinner was a great experience, food was cooked to perfection wait staff was attentive. We will be back. Based on the most recent experience, we will recommend and return.

As always, the dining experience was great! I noticed some new management faces, since my last visit. The level of customer service and attention to detail seems to have been raised a notch. The steak was perfectly cooked; juicy, tender, and tasty. The baked potato was amazing! Service was on-point, never running out of anything.

Great food and service! Definitely a great place to eat. The food was great (Texas size), plus service was excellent. The waitress explained everything plus the type of meats and history of the restaurant. Plus we were greeted by local management and looked like corporate management as well to make sure that the food and service met our expectations. A little pricey for our dining style, but worth it for a special dinner out or occasion.

Will was such a great server! He saw to all my needs and gave me great company while making sure I have everything I need to enjoy my dining experience. I ordered fried gator tails, filet mignon with shrimp scampi, chocolate triple cake (they have a separate menu for dessert) but they gave me free salad with bread too😊. Also Will boxed everything for me. One of the most convenient experiences I’ve had with a restaurant! I definitely recommend this place 10/10. The salad and bread were great and so was the cake. The filet mignon was juicy as it should be. Overall, a delightful experience! Definitely coming by again!😃

This was our first time dining here and I must say that it was incredible all around. Easily made a reservation online for 7:45pm. We were seated promptly upon arrival. The wine and cuts of meat are nicely displayed as you enter the restaurant. Our waitress, Kristin, was absolutely amazing. She explained the history of the restaurant, covered the entire menu with us, and refilled our drinks before they were empty. Although they do have a 5lb steak eating challenge, I opted for the 28oz Cowboy steak. (I will do the challenge next time) It came with one side, and bottomless house salad, along with endless garlic parmesan rolls. The steak was cooked to perfection and extremely tender, practically melting in my mouth. The loaded baked potato was incredible, too. In all, I ate and entire appetizer of "Dang Bang" shrimp (DELICIOUS), 28oz steak, loaded baked potato, four parmesan rolls, three salads, a piece of my daughters filet mignon, a slice of three layer chocolate cake, four Pepsi drinks, and three waters. They closed at 9pm, however we were still eating at 9:30pm and were not rushed out at all. Kristin happily boxed up my steak bone for our dog, along with my wife's chicken, which was also very good. Btw...their house dressing is delicious and will be your only choice for your salad. I easily rate them 5 stars, without question!

7 out of 5 stars! The atmosphere was great. Whether you're celebrating or just wanting a great dinner, this place is great! We had a party of 8 and Monica was our waitress! She was AMAZING! It was her by herself and she didn't miss a beat! Her personality and expertise are unmatched! I forgot to take a pic of the gator bites, the salad, and rolls. Sorry guys, but I can tell you that it was good. The gator bites were VERY flavorful, but they weren't my favorite. They were too small and too chewy. The mushrooms were so freaking good! My sister n law doesn't eat mushrooms, but she tried one and tore them up! If you're a mushroom lover, you have to order them. I liked them with the sauce that came with it, but also with The Dang Bang shrimp sauce. Speaking of Dang Bang shrimp... those thangs were BANGIN! The rolls and salad were just ok, and I'm a hard-core bread and salad lover. The texture of the bread was good. It just had a little tang to it. I ate 3 pieces, so it wasn't bad. The salad was fresh and the dressing was good. It just needed a little more than olives and tomatoes The guys ordered Steaks and they lived then and said how tender they were. I had the salmon, and it was really good and flavorful along with my broccoli, which was cooked to perfection!!!! I don't really eat meats other than seafood, but I tried a tiny piece of the fried chicken and it was very flavorful, crunchy, and juicy. Everyone loved the mashed potatoes. You literally can't go wrong with this place, oh and the portions are very large! I came from Tampa. I'm already planning my next visit, and I already know what I'm going to order. Oh and I'm snagging Monica again to serve me! Also, the entire restaurant was clean, including the restroom. Everything was very well kept, down to the grounds outside. This was a great dining experience 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 I'll definitely be back Happy eating y'all!

Every time I visit Florida... this is one of my stops. Their salad is amazing with extra olives. I love their fried mushrooms, shrimp, bread, steak, chicken, and pork chops. You can't go wrong with anything you choose here. The drinks...be careful cause they will sneak up on you.

Throughout the USA, there are a ton of steakhouses different styles and presentations. So what make The Texas Cattle Company shine? For starters, let's look at the stars of the show... the entrees. From seafood to the steaks, they are masterfully seasoned. The seasoning does not overpower the meals but enhance the natural flavors. The steaks are smoked with citrus and oak blends, leaving a superb flavor throughout the entire cut. What makes this an experience however is the service. Both times they have been superb, and Crystal is on point. Friendly, knowledgeable, aware, and attentive. I love food, have a passion for it and she was able to answer any curious questions I had. From the types of mushrooms and their source, to the flavor cognac left on escargot. She made this a wonderful experience.

The Texas Cattle Company is by far the best steakhouse in Lakeland Florida. My wife and I have been going here for years. It's great to see a place that hasn't given up taste and quality for the almighty profit. We came for my wife's birthday which I'm Soo glad that they are still doing after all these years. It was almost $30.00 off the bill who else does this? No one. Back to the steaks they are all cut in house. When they cook the steaks they use oak wood for heat and citrus for flavor. What a great tasting steak. Can't wait for my birthday.

Lovely place for a date night or special evening - we went for my dad’s birthday and he loved it. I think our night there were challenges but our server kept her positivity and took good care of our family ❤️ 🦞🦐🥦🥖🧈🥩🍻🍷🥃 Broccoli and bread were delicious 😋

Really great steakhouse. Feels slightly cramped. Steaks were cooked perfectly (recommend the ribeye). Dessert was exceptional. Strawberry cake was out of this world delicious! Chocolate cake was also excellent; butter cake was above expectations (ask to sub for the bourbon ice cream on here, you will not regret it)! Brownie was dry and the least favorite at the table.

Matt the manager, Jeff our server, and food was the best in all my years. Jeff was never hurried to serve someone else. Had plenty of servers for all customers. Such a pleasant experience. Thank you for a great birthday 🎉 dinner.

Came here because we had some “Talk of the town” gift cards and it was such the best choice!! The salad and bread was delicious, we even purchased some of the spanish olive vinaigrette dressing to take home. The escargot were huge and we kept dipping the bread in the butter they were in. We got a cowgirl t bone and a porterhouse for our entrees, which were top 5 best steaks we’ve ever had — super flavorful with the truffle butter and cooked perfectly medium rare. Service was attentive and fast, I believe our server’s name was Krystal and she was awesome, even packed some extra of the butter the escargot was in for us to take home with some bread. Would definitely come back in the future!!

Update:: 2nd visit- Service was great- fast and friendly- Also- one of the managers on duty Emily- super friendly and hands on. 1st visit. Service was slow I sat in the bar area. It was only a few people on the bar side. Everything was really good. My drink, steak and salad. I felt service could have been much better and the gentleman maybe they were managers dressed up could have acknowledged my presence. They came in the area several times and standing around, thought that was a little odd even upon leaving, didn’t say a word.

This is a great high-end Steakhouse. If you have a Florida Driver's License you get a free steak on your birthday it was my daughter's birthday so the whole party went and all enjoyed it very much. We all ordered something different, shrimp appetizer chicken regular steak filet mignon and the dry aged steak.

Service was lacking. Table of 8 only got one basket of bread even though we asked for more. We got some to go when we were leaving. Drinks were not refreshed but once and we were there for 2 plus hours. One of our party didn't get his steak with his asparagus and baked potato... finally someone came over and said that the chef wasn't satisfied with the steak he had cooked so he was cooking another. When they finally brought his steak out it wasn't cooked right. He asked for med well and it was very red. So they actually took back and probably nuked it. It was then dry and ruined. Fillet mignon should never be dry. They should have just comped him. But he didn't say anything to them. Sure he won't be going back. For the $100 plus dollars each of us spent...we expected better. Maybe it was an off night? Company was good and the rest of us enjoyed our steaks. But everyone at the table should have had a phenomenal meal. Don't you think?

We had a great night at Texas Cattle Company. We had a rather large party of 12 and they had plenty of space for us. We did make a reservation a day ahead which was super convenient. Our servers were excellent. Everything we ate was so good from the appetizers all the way to our dessert. I got the ribeye and it was cooked perfectly and the flavor was so delicious. Will definitely make sure to stop here again when I'm back in town.

Our server was amazing and she's only been there for 1 month. We were so excited for the food we forgot to take a bunch of pictures.

This place is absolutely awesome! The steak was delicious. We had shrimp scampi it was so tasty. We will be back!

I think I'm just not a fan of fire roasted meats. My husband's chicken was great. I figure since it's a steak house this would have been much better. The smashed potatoes were good. The meat was a bit salty for my taste. Mimosa was average.

Coming from a Lakeland’er whom has been eating here off and on for years, I had really almost given up on them based on my experience prior to last nights visit. I was craving steak last night so since they had just recently reopened their doors since having been closed down for a while due to a fire mishap, I decided to give them another try for old times sake in the hopes that they came back strong. It was a long wait to be seated ( I forgot Sun & Fun was going on so lots of out of towner’s visiting)…We had to ask for our table to be cleaned before we sat down and the water glasses were not clean but we stuck it out due to I had visited the restroom and it was pretty clean ( for me that’s kind of a tell tell sign if a restaurant cares anything at all about cleanliness). Once the appetizer and drinks came, I started to feel better about the situation ( The Watermelon infused vodka drink was REALLY GOOD as well as the appetizer). I ordered the bone- in filet mignon which was cooked EXACTLY AS I ORDER ( medium well but I really should have ordered it medium ) however it was REALLY GOOD…I added on what was supposed to be blacken shrimp scampi but there was nothing blackened about them and the scampi seemed a bit watery to me. Lastly, there were several dirty tables with food, dishes and glasses that were left sitting for a while and also food items that had been dropped on the floor, I personally don’t like that in my view when I’m eating. The price increase of the dishes I think is overpriced…I know everything has gone up but I think the increase is more than their cost was probably increased. They could definitely do better in a lot of areas but I did enjoy that Steak.

One day I was doing Uber and I drove one of the Managers to this place. I remember he gave me a business card. Like a year after that I visit the place with my husband and son. We were celebrating my husband's birthday that happened on Nov. 2020. Customer Service excellent, food delicious, we had some steak, gator bites, shrimps, They have birthday discount it has to be the same day otherwise doesn't apply. We have a very good family time.

Lakeland's premier steakhouse for years. They have a long tradition of people coming there on their birthday or other celebrations. Reservations are recommended. The staff and servers do an excellent job of making you feel comfortable and welcome. Both of our steaks were cooked perfectly and delicious. It was a great birthday dinner.

We had an amazing experience. We went to celebrate a birthday. The escargot and gator bites were extremely good. The steaks were flavorful and grilled great, however the star of the evening was my son's pork chop. It was the biggest, most tender piece of pork ever. The loaded mashed potatoes were also a big hit. Great service all around. We did have reservations.

I haven't been here in decades, so I was a bit excited to visit again. I enjoyed the escargot, though it was a bit oversalted. The entree items come in decent portion sizes. For the prices, there could be more menu items available.

Haven’t been in about a year ! Out of the blue decided to come !! There were 4 of us and we sat right beside the extra busy manager office .. food quality not even half as good as it was before .. service not even close to as friendly as before .. bartenders very nice I have to say .. but servers not do much .. my grandson waited until half our meal was started just to get his ketchup so he could start :( Made me feel bad cause he was hungry ! Never got water refills until time to go when managers Walking near us to go in office then as they stood there we were offered water refills ! Table beside us was told right at sitting they could have two free appetizers since a manger asked them when they sat to move the chair over with the ladies purse in it since it was in the walk way …, the lady looked at him funny so they got free food lol .. not planning on coming back unless others MUST have a birthday dinner here.. lesson learned. Wednesday night at 715 pm reservation.. Management quickly followed up .. was not expecting a call but it was very positive and appreciated.. we all live and work here in Polk County and just knowing that management cares and wants to ensure a positive experience is a huge deal ! I will give it another chance as this has been our favorite place to eat and celebrate ( personal and business) for over 20 years .. this just might be the right person that called me back and listened to our experience. He truly cared about the company and experience! Thank you sir !

I took my husband for his birthday and it was an amazing experience. Our server Lacey was wonderful. She provided a phenomenal service. The food and the drinks were also delicious. My husband and I will definitely be back.
