In town for work. Stopped by for lunch. Service was pretty great. I was seated quickly & the waitress came right over; she knew the specials & I never had to wait on her. Scenery was nice, and the menu and wine selection was extensive. I had a vegetable linguini with lamb, and a glass of wine - both tasted fine. Overall, I was just not blown away. The portion size of the meal, the minimal house bread that was provided, even the 6 oz wine seemed less than usual, and the inflated pricing for everything just left me missing Italy. The food was great, but I couldn't feel the restaurant's authenticity. (P. S. Italian food is my favorite so I judge it pretty harshly)

Visiting Ciao Bella for a business lunch and it didn't dissapoint. Good portions and all the plates looked great. Everyone enjoyed their meal. I live 45 minutes away and still make time to head that way for dinner. If weather allows dine out on the patio.

Dane took great care if us. He read us quite well and was able to adapt his service style to our needs. He was very charismatic, attentive, and spot on with his suggestions. The food was delicious. This is certainly a place where you get quality over quantity, but if you go in understanding that, you're sure to enjoy yourself.

Excellent dinner and drinks here with a friend tonight. I hadn't been here in about 5 years but I'll remember this for future business dinners and other upscale meetings with friends. The crab cakes were excellent and so was the salmon special. They also have an good wine selection and various desserts. It is a bit loud and conversation can be tough though.

Very friendly hostesses and service staff. Relaxing and Comfortable seating area, great selections from the menu with extensive wine /drinks .The most tender and juicy scallops I had for appetizer. Other appetizers were great, too. Salmon was cooked perfectly with flavorful risotto. Desserts were great. My friends and I enjoyed our meals. Decent portions with reasonable price. Patio was closed for the winter . Highly recommended .

Started off with freshly baked bread and amazong butter. This is where I messed up because I had two servings, and the second had just come out of the oven. YUMMY!!! I had La Crema Monterey wine. Full blend and fruity. Just the best. My BF had strawberry lemonade. This is the first time I ever preferred a non alcoholic beverage just because of the taste alone. I started to tell them to make mine a cocktail by adding a hot of vodka. It was just that good. We had the Calamari and Braised Lamb from the small bites menu. You can definitely eat off that menu for entre because the servings were a great size and easily sharable. I had the Red Pepper Linguini and scallops. BEST SCALLOPS I EVER HAD IN MY CULINARU EXPERIENCES. Tender, seasoned very well, buttery, and seared to perfection. The cream sauce on the linguine could be put in a jar and sold separately in a market near you. TRUST AND BELIEVE. Bets to get the large portion and not half size. My boyfriend had the 16 oz NY strip. When you order a steak, this is how you are supposed to receive it. We had no room for dessert. But I wish we did. We took food home The atmosphere was perfect. You can dine in the restaurant, in the lounge, or on the patio. ALL ARE HUGE. Our waiter was amazing and on point. Went over and beyond.

“Not that kind of place” That’s what the wait staffer said to someone in my party. I want to give them a 4 so bad but comments like that make you feel unwelcome. In a classic tradition leading up to one of my family members birthday we go out every Friday up till their birthday. This was a place my family member and their spouse really wanted to try. With a solid 4.7 review, I could see why. We arrived towards the end of the dinner rush for our reservation the parking lot was still packed. 4.7, packed parking lot GOOD SIGN! Inside someone in my party witnessed a glass get broken at a table a bit away from us and a man in the party yelled out something pretty loud like ‘I CAN PAY FOR ALL OF IT!’ that party left shortly after this outburst. The interior design was very nice I watched tables be reset for next guest in what felt like less than a minute which was pretty impressive for the amount of people dinning in. The paintings were interested my favorite hangs above the fire place. Might make for a good photo opp during your trip. Food: The table got warm bread and a creamy fluffy butter if that’s what you like, ask for balsamic vinaigrette, as there’s only olive oil at the table. The bar staff gives very generous pours in cocktails and wine. Not drinking? the mocktails are good too. Make note of any wine you may like. I had a sweeter riesling at the recommendation of the wait staff called “Dr. L”, I have purchased it for home since. The table got the Crab Cakes twice, if you like Brussels Sprouts on the sweeter side like me get them. I would skip the Caesar salad I wasn’t a fan but ate in anyways, maybe try one of the other salads. The entrées at our table were the Classic Lasagna, Spicy Crab Spaghetti, fettuccine substitute the lamb for shrimp and chicken wild mushroom risotto. Service: Here’s where we kinda had an issue every thing was good. Till the person who ordered the risotto request it be sent back and they would take the spicy crab spaghetti. The risotto was a bit too mushy for them. They literally took one bite and knew they wouldn’t enjoy it. When they asked the wait staff about switching to something else the comment was made “we are NOT that kind of place”. The request was fulfilled the item was taken off the bill. As patrons we believe there was no need for that statement especially when the request was fulfilled. Looking around everyone that left for the most part was leaving with leftovers the portion sizes were substantial enough for you to have food to take home. We felt uncomfortable at that point, we all took a couple more bites of our food had it packed up to go and ask for the bill. The person in my party that ask for the bill was given just their portion of the bill as if the ‘assumption’ was that the bills to be split. it was just an assumption that was made no conversation was had about the bill. The wait staff brought the whole bill to the person who requested the bill at that time they paid the bill we tip the waiter. We left, we won’t go back. I mean after all it’s not that kind of place I guess. To have a staff member stand over you and say something so steep in implicit bias and treat you like you are inconveniencing them isn’t worth visiting again for our family . So we will go to the place that treats you like family, thats the KIND of place we like after all. Pros: Great portions for the cost Cons: Don’t go off the cuff and order anything that might be new to you. I would even maybe say skip the salad and risotto all together. Just to avoid eating something that you didn’t like. Since you can’t send it back. If you found my review helpful give it a like. Thank you :)

Had a fabulous romantic date here. My boyfriend and I made a reservation where he said we were on a date, and we suspect that they gave us the table in front of the fireplace because of that. If so, how thoughtful! I loved it. Our server, Donny, was awesome, as was the person supporting the floor with water refills and such. I think his name was Santiago. They were both kind and diligent and took great care of us. The food was excellent. The texture on the calamari wasn't rubbery at all, and everything we got was delicious. We also each got a cocktail, and boy were those stiff. We didn't have to wait very long for anything either. The kitchen seems to really have its act together. Safe bet if you're trying to have a "nice night out" or impress guests with classy food!

Pesto Sea Bass is highly recommended! Kale salad and tiramasu were good. Great wine selection. Would not order espresso martini again.

Enjoyed a very nice business lunch here today! Service was prompt. The water glasses were always full. Extra butter was quickly procured. I had my favorite Heirloom Grain salad and this time tried it with Parmesan crusted shrimp. Very good! I enjoyed a cup of their soup of the day, sausage soup. Also very good but I wasn’t expecting it to be creamy. My associates and business partners also enjoyed their salads and soup. I will for sure be back!

Holy cow!!! Lovely atmosphere. Our server was absolutely spot on 😁 attentive, efficient, very pleasant, and helpful 👍 The Walleye dinner was simply amazing. My daughter had a chicken risotto with grated cheese and hot peppers. She loved it! We shared a small cherry cobbler, fabulous. Incredible dining experience 🙌 Plus we shared the Crab Cakes as well, superb!!

The tenderloin appetizers were AMAZING. So was the red pepper linguine with scallops, we couldn’t stop raving about the food. We also got the spaghetti and creme brûlée.

When the weather cooperates, the outdoor seating is beautiful and perfect for a date or group outing. Service is consistently outstanding as is the food. My favorites include the Heirloom Grain salad and the Wild Mushroom flatbread. That said, I’ve loved everything else I’ve tried here!

We are visiting the area, and our driver recommended this restaurant for dinner. And we were not disappointed. From the atmosphere, to the amazing staff, and delicious food we would eat here ALL the time if we lived closer!! Our waiter Jonathon was super friendly, attentive, and gave the best food suggestions. We enjoyed a decadent lasagna and chicken parmigiana. Hopefully we can return before leaving town

This is a very large restaurant so don't expect a Mom and Pop Italian joint. The menu was as much American as it was Italian but the Scallops I had to start were excellent, the Classic Lasagne I had afterwards was very good but not the best ever hence why I didn't rate this 5 Star. Service was good, ambience was noisy rather than intimate.

Great place to get yummy Italian food! Pros: - beautiful restaurant inside and out - amazing staff, our waiter basically put on a comedy show for us each time he came back to the table - great presentation of the food - delicious deserts (we had the tiramisu and the lemon tart) and bruschetta - had a 2 person walk in at 7 pm on a Wednesday and they were able to seat is right away Cons - neither of us were big fans of the noodles we got. (Regular red sauce (Rosa) and the scallops pasta) would recommend getting different things

Had an absolutely amazing time celebrating my birthday with my family. Service was amazing, especially for being busy on a Friday night. Our server was amazing, the drinks were tasty, and the food was delicious! Everything was done first class.

This was my first trip and I chose ciao bella over other Italian restaurants in Minneapolis as they had the highest overall rating - I can confirm that they thoroughly earned it! When I entered the restaurant, the host team made me feel welcome and warm and this was one of the best host greeting I have received in a while. Food was spectacular and this was hands down one of the best Italian/pasta meals I have had in a long time. Their bread was so soft and was not surprised when my server told me that they make their bread, pasta and pizza in house. They know how to make calamari appetizer! The breading was delicate and thin, which is how it should always be. Plus I could tell the squid they used was pretty darn fresh as it was quite soft when I chewed them. I had their tortiglioni pasta and that was off the hook delish. Pasta was excellent and their homemade molinari sausage was to die for. For dessert, I had their limonetta bella: lemon curd with lemon cream cheese filling and graham pecan crust on bottom. Perfect way to finish my meal. Great service and a memorable dining experience. I strongly recommend Ciao Bella to anyone looking for a great Italian restaurant.

The food was fantastic. We were a group of 4 and went for lunch. We ordered a Brussels sprouts for the table. I had the tomato avocado flatbread, my colleagues had a lamb pasta, filet-mignon, and salmon. The warm bread is delicious. Their service is quick and attentive. There are some vegetarian options but you’ll have to look closely at the menu to figure it out. But it would be nicer to have some more vegetarian options ( or at least for them to be marked separately and clearly on the menu)

Ciao Bella has been exceptional for years! Italian inspired with American twist. The service here sets the bar for dining experiences. They are usually busy, but they will honor reservations and attention is constant. Instant hospitality once entering. Food is delicious and paired with incredible wines! We enjoy everything, including the bread. The ambiance and decor is romantic and beautiful, although can be loud and less intimate, especially when it is during peak dinner hours. Opt for a patio seat in the summer. Highly recommend and will continue to be a forever patron. Ample free parking as well.

Ciao Bella is my absolute, favorite lunch spot in the twin cities! And it’s especially nice in the warmer months when you’re able to sit on their charming patio. The food is consistently fantastic here and the service is efficient as well as professional. I have yet to eat here without ordering the tomato and avocado flatbread. It is one of the best pizza dishes that I have ever had anywhere! The crust is so cracker thin and crispy that it stays level when holding a slice. Topped with cold marinated tomatoes and avocado, it’s my absolute favorite dish! I also highly recommend the tuna burger seared rare it is incredibly flavorful! And make sure to try their tortiglioni Rosa pasta it’s fantastic! I have yet to have ordered something I didn’t enjoy from here, even the bread is amazing! I also enjoy the fact that this restaurant has stayed consistent to what they’ve always been “post” COVID. There are no QR codes, they provide you with a menu, they still offer bread, and there is no service charge. If I had 1 complaint it would be that I wish their wine list had more French wines to choose from.
