We received as a gift an amazing local wine in your hotel during our visit which we drank for new years celebration. It reminded us of many happy memories which we made in your hotel. I and my boyfriend visited the Hotel Rural El Mondalón last summer. We were so lucky to spend our holiday at this beautiful place. They made it for us really memorable. People were so nice and helpful. The food was fantastic. The wine was divine. The room was really clean and cosy. Reception recommended us great non-tourist places to visit. They also updated our room without extra charge just because the room was free. We made a friend (security guy) in the hotel who was really patient with my poor Spanish. :D We got a tour around the place. Thank you. :]

We chose the HR El Mondalón because it is small and not in a tourist area. It has about 10 rooms and because of the location attracts more I dependant travellers. Most other guests had cars but a couple travelled by bus to the hotel. On arrival we met by Alfin who showed us around and to our room. Later he was a star and managed to find an adaptor for my UK plug, as I picked up the wrong one from home. The hotel also has a very good restaurant that is open to the public, which unfortunately is not opening to the 1st March. After a long journey Alfin Brough in a chef and opened the breakfast room for an evening and offered a couple of choices. The hotel has a small pool that is quier that overlooks vineyards and hills. There is a school fairly close and at times you can hearing the kids playing and afternoon playing sport, There is another restaurant about 15 minutes walk uphill called Restaurant Miranda that also offers a very good selection of meals. All in all we really enjoyed the HR El Mondalón.

It's a wonderful place, a hidden gem of Gran Canaria. The hotel is small, but perfectly maintained. The place is super clean and super safe regarding the virus (many discreet prevention rules are well implemented). The staff is exceptionally friendly.

Very calm experience. We loved this place. The staff are super nice and you’re surrounded by mountains. We spent a night here and I wish we had more time to stay. We felt right at home and I definitely recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 5 nights, hotel has a beautiful location, easy access to the roads to get to the beach and mountains. The best beaches were only 35 min away. Room was clean and the staff were friendly and helpful. We give it 4 stars instead of 5 because the double bed was actually 2 small beds put together which made it uncomfortable as you would end up sleeping in the gap :) Breakfast had plenty of choices so overall it was a great place to stay.

Marvellous hotel. Very friendly staff, bending over backwards for your comfort. Extremely good room service, the whole hotel is a gemstone on Gran Canaria. The pool is nice and well maintained, nice small lizards on the edge. The restaurant is very good and has attractive pricing, the wine stems from the winery which owns the hotel. Stick to the red wines. The place in general is very quiet, breakfast in the sunshine besides the old barn. Breakfast is healthy und good in quality. 100% recommended.

Great meals, original interior and nice service are great advantages of this location. There are also great vista points nearby. Water in swimming pool is quite cold in January, but quite acceptable. Roads in this area may be challenging for inexperienced drivers.

A beautiful property hosted by a wonderful staff. Agustin and Carlos especially were so kind and helpful, going above and beyond to ensure our stay at the hotel and experience on Gran Canaria was as enjoyable as possible. Genuine and kind people managing a comfortable and unique location (many centuries-old original buildings and an in-house winery). What more could you want from a place? I would not stay anywhere else on Gran Canaria after finding this amazing place.

Not like Hotel in Las Palmas or Maspalomas, this hotel is in the local rural area, perfect for travelers want to stay in a quiet place, in the morning, even the canteen opens for breakfast from 8 to 10, if you arrive around 9:30, could be very little food left for you

Great rural style hotel, with spacious and confortable rooms in a quiet outdoor enviornment with a nice pool. Perfect location to visit some of the island coastal main attractions and enjoy the relaxing country side

The location is a bit outside the city - but therefore it is nicely quiet. The rooms are spacious and clean - and the entire place is renovated bodega-style. Really nice and cozy. The staff is very attentive and helpful and can even suggest places to go during your stay. We've had very nice conversations with the staff on what to do and which secret locations to visit. No complaints here - definitely recommend this place for your vacation.
