It is a cozy and original restaurant since it seems like you are inside a ship. The waiters are very friendly and attentive. But unfortunately I can't say the same about the food. The potatoes were very well cooked but had no flavor, the croquettes whose filling was good were ruined because the breading was burned and the black rice that looked very good was bland and lacked flavor. The truth is that I would not repeat

(Translated by Google) Restaurant with a seafaring spirit, how could it be otherwise because of where it is located. The treatment of the staff of 10, attentive, very pleasant and professional. The restaurant, very well prepared for the covid theme, clean, pleasant. The food surprised us for good, a very rich grilled cheese, some very tasty coquinas, the very tasty and very well cooked and clean brown, and the rice, very very tasty, the only bad thing, that I never understand it from places of rice, don't give me more carabineros that I understand is expensive, but give me one more "puñadito" of rice that is worth two dollars and I didn't feel hungry. It's my thing, but going to a rice place and leaving hungry and even more so when the rice was so good, a shame, if it weren't for that 5 stars.

(Translated by Google) Cozy place in Las Palmas. Friendly staff ready to help us in a unique evening with friends, family or whoever is willing to visit El Cachalote. The food and elaborate dishes of the first level. Its chef and leader, Pablo, a constant person in his profession and knowledgeable about the knowledge that he uses in the dishes that are presented in his restaurant, inspires good work and appropriate taste for his restaurant. To highlight your suggestions. Recommended starters such as smoked cheese or tuna tartare. During our visit, we asked for a spectacular rice with lobster for several reasons: in Pablo's explanation and its preparation and how good it was when tasting it. A must when in Gran Canaria and the perfect excuse to come and visit it if you want to enjoy a unique gastronomic event. It is recommended to book in advance. Recomendable reservar previamente.

The delicious food, limpets, garlic prawns and black squid rice were a great choice, with good prices.

We had a great shooting at the San Cristobal fishermen's village close to Las Palmas, Gran Canaria. We contacted Pablo (the new owner/chef of the restaurant) for possibilities for our crews lunch break. Pablo made a special menu for us, baring in mind vegetarians, vegans, fishlovers and meat eaters. He seemed to have understood our time limits and quality standards right from the start. Restaurante Chacalote is very much recommended; for it's quality, service and location. We will most certainly repeat its more productions from abroad. Thanks Insightsproject Productions
