We have been loyal patrons of Kona for several years, often relishing in their extensive and varied all-you-can-eat buffet. The array of options is commendable, and the sushi is consistently fresh. The service is warm, and the restaurant's ambiance is inviting, with its compact, pristine, and comfortable setting. Regrettably, our most recent visit was marked by frustration and disappointment. We brought a family member along, with two of us intending to partake in the buffet and one preferring a lighter option like a salad. Our preference for the buffet is driven more by its variety rather than the quantity. However, we were informed of a policy stipulating that the buffet option is only available if chosen by everyone at the table. Our server, seemingly understanding, inquired about a potential exception but returned with a rigid denial, suggesting instead that our guest could sit separately at a neighbouring table. When I addressed the manager, who was stationed at the sushi counter, I received a curt and unapologetic explanation, merely reiterating the established policy. For us, long-time visitors, this was extremely disheartening. It is baffling that the restaurant would imply we might share our buffet with our guests, a notion both presumptuous and derogatory, over merely a few pieces of sushi. Consequently, we decided to dine elsewhere. Having visited Kona over thirty times in the past year, it pains us to withdraw our patronage and explore alternative sushi experiences. It's lamentable that a rule rooted in inherent distrust can tarnish the reputation of an otherwise exceptional establishment, prompting us to reconsider future visits. It epitomizes the proverb, "The higher they fly, the harder they fall," reflecting how rapidly esteem can be lost due to inflexible and ill-conceived policies.

Simply loved it! The rolls are so well cared for. I love sushi regardless, but Kona remains in my books. Went for dinner, all you can eat. The variety of special rolls got me. The price is decent too, considering the quality. I highly recommend to anyone who's looking for something special.

I really REALLY enjoyed my meal at Kona. The food was excellent (zero corners cut even though it’s all one can eat), the service was prompt, friendly and kind, and the atmosphere was excellent (we sat at the bar and it was cool as heck). Would absolutely recommend and will absolutely come back when I’m next in town. Oh! And lots and lots of vegan and gluten friendly options for my like-minded peoples out there!

Went here for a double date it was perfect small environment which makes you feel at home. Quick service and nice staff. Food was full of flavour, Warm, and great ginger. Food looked professional plated and looks great on the stone serving trays. Definitely worth every penny make sure to tip you’re waiter/waitress! I will be back :)

I am Vegetarian so tried their Veg Sushi, I considered them as the best sushi place in and around Windsor after Hikari. Best thing I liked was, they substitute sea food and meat with veggies of your choice for all their recipes. I will highly recommend Wakerville and Mango. Patio seating is the best with pleasant lighting. Also pricing is attractive for what they serve.

First of all, they have changed their pricing about a month ago. AND sashimi will now be charged extra if you are doing AYCE sushi. We went here for lunch on a Friday. The food has always been excellent every time we went; however, what I felt “cheated” was that the ACYE sushi rolls will be filled with excessive amount of rice hence you will get full more quickly. 🙂

Went to Kona with my friends for lunch for the first time. Loved the atmosphere, quiet and not too busy. Carlin had really good service and was super kind when we asked to put it in a boat for us (which he kindly did). Come here to get some good sushi!!

I had an exceptional dining experience, largely thanks to Rachel's outstanding service. Her attention to detail, friendly demeanor, and extensive knowledge of the menu elevated the entire meal. Rachel's recommendations were spot-on, making the evening memorable. I appreciate her dedication to ensuring every aspect of the dining experience was delightful. A truly remarkable server.

👍👍 I've been here a couple of times, this time it was for their breakfast with friends. You can order off the menu, or they have a breakfast buffet, on Sunday only. Their food and the service were excellent. The waitresses and waiters were very attentive and friendly. We'll definitely be back soon. 😀...

👍 A diner experience, good food , pleasant staff, faster service and enough quantity to fill each person. Open space and so loud so everyone talking, less space between booths so felt sitting back to back. Over all great experience recommend to anyone. Lot of items in the menu to choose from. Here are...
