We had dinner at croix d'ouchy on 29 May 2021, one of the first reopening evenings after the lockdown. I hope this is why the service was inattentive and extremely slow, sometimes even rude (they brought the bottle of wine and left it on the serving table forgetting to pour it. The dishes never came together, forcing us to wait and let them cool, the parmesan requested arrived when I had finished eating the pasta, the bread was finished in the middle of the evening and was no longer available to accompany the second course.) To err is human, and a sincere "sorry" would have made all these mistakes easily forgivable. Bet they never apologized. I would not define the cuisine as “Italian” by the way (you won’t ever find an Italian restaurant serving pasta as a side dish) but more “swiss/french/italian”. It’s a pity, since the atmosphere in the garden is really nice and cuisine was good. But I don’t think I’ll ever come back again.

Overrated. True, service is "a l‘ancienne" and I appreciated it. True, the place keeps its original set-up and atmosphere. True, meat quality is excellent. But waiting time, more than 1 hour, between order and time when plates were served is not acceptable. As a consequence, side dish (pastas) had also been waiting too long and were spongy, so as the mustard sauce . Understood it was Saturday and place was full. At least a "sorry" or a gesture from staff /owner would have been apporpriate given the standing of the place.

What an absolutely magnificent restaurant! Family owned in 2 generations from what I understand and the food is delicious!! Highly recommended, do reserve in advance though because it does get crowded. Best place in town imho!

Came as a large group, and so were encouraged to order from a makeshift set menu to ensure the service was good… despite this, it took 3.5 hours for a 3 course meal. The food was ok, but nothing to shout about.

Best Italian in Ouchy, Lausanne! You have to savour the best pasta and Parma ham in Ouchy!

They only provide the specific menu for Valentine’s Day. The quality of food was good. The tables were very close to each other.

I have heard good this about this place and it is always busy every evening. Finally my husband and I went there for a dinner and had two main course and two glasses of wine. I expected at least a complimentary bread but there was not. We ordered spaghetti with lobster and shrimp and fish stir fried in sweet sauce that came with rice. There were good but on the average side. Nothing to remember. The place is cramped and difficult to move around. I feel that it was overrated and o would not go back.

Wonderful food. The seating outside is very comfortable, if sometimes noisy due to the traffic.

Lovely reataurant - mainly Italian and French food - fine dining

Amazing food with a local flair!! We ate there two days ago whilst looking for somewhere in the centre of Lausanne on a Sunday evening. What we found was a local gem. The food is second to none and genuinely authentic. Had some initial reservations having read reviews saying it wasn't friendly to non French speakers. But being greeted by an English speaking waiter and an English menu blew thelat out of the water right away.

A very nice restaurant, although a bit pricey. I definitely recommend the terrace if you are in summer it is delightful

What a lovely restaurant, the first restaurant we tried in Lausanne. Wow - the risottos and pastas were just outstanding. One of the best risottos I have ever eaten. We had lots of vegetarians with us and they were so happy with the options for them. We will definitely be back

Very good food, had a good night out on the terrace! Cons were that service was a bit long and rather on the pricey side!

Took too long to be served, food presentation heavily outdated, extremely overpriced. Terrible service! Waited over 45 minutes to be served, while not even offered bread or olive oil. Simple plates nothing special, lower average with highest percentage ces. Do not recommend at all.

As usual top cuisine and excellent service. This place is maintaing its level and standard since years. Wondering sbout the guests complaining about the time of preparation; this is not Mc Donald. Each plate is prepared à la minute with a lot of care. If you wanna have a quick bite - go to Burger King.

Good food and pleasant service. On the expensive side but on the high quality too: worth a visit. Make sure you reserve ahead.
