We really looked forward to experience authentic Tongan feast and show. We got average food, great show and ā€˜concertā€™ where owner praised Aussies for coming there and bringing money. We had such an awesome time in Tonga but this was our last night and the leaving was a bit bittersweet. Would recommend only the show and the place itself.

On a cruise, we booked a tour to the 'Oholei Beach Resort and Hina cave. After an excellent tour of the city, we were bought to this little oasis on the beach. The proprietor was the host and sang and prepared a feast for all of us. We were treated like family, it was wonderful. The service, food and entertainment was excellent. We had a great time and saw some native dancing. The food was amazing, the Umu (which had been cooking for 4 days) was superb. I would love to get back again someday.

Please donā€™t waste your money here. The main attraction, Hinaā€™s Cave, has been fairly closed since the Tsunami. So now the function is held in a tiny hall with small childā€™s play plastic chairs. Spoke directly with the owner for a request, to which she agreed but did the complete opposite. Very frustrating. The staff is absolutely horrible. Gossiping about you in front of your face, about how much they want us to hurry up and get out, as weā€™re leaving the venue. They start cleaning before everyone has left the building as a hint. The band played slow lullabies the entire night. Food was mediocre. The only saving grace was the fire dance. Overall donā€™t even bother wasting ur time, gas, and money on poor service, food and experience.

We ended our time in Tonga with dinner and a show. The recent cyclone, volcanic eruption, and Tsunami have greatly affected tourism. It was great to see this location coming back from that devastation. The beach was beautiful, the cave was magical. They couldn't do the show in the cave, but it was still fun to see the fire dancing father and son team. The food was amazing with choices, all representing Tongan culture and traditional dishes.

Lovely Friday night feast and cultural show. Not remotely flash and not a ton of vegetarian food, but an incredibly warm and heart-felt welcome. Loved the cultural stories in addition to the show. The performers were engaged and excellent at their craft. Buffet starts at 8 pm with the show afterwards and the $15 ride to and from town would be totally worth it.

Overall it was a good night out. They don't offer credit card facilities so keep that in mind when planning. The food was good and traditional except for the dessert options which was only watermelon and one more traditional dish. The dancing and fire demonstration was worth it.

Lovely place and workers. Down falls is to always make sure you ask staff about the food. Last time I was there I returned back to NZ with food poisoning from the warm raw fish I ate there. Double check for your safety as we know they don't do food safety and food grading in Tonga.

Don't be put off by the looks of the food, this buffet and cave show was AMAZING. I was travelling alone and met some other solo travellers here, sat at a table and shared stories over beer for hours. The food was plentiful, the fish was the best meal along with the lupulu. The owner retold a story of how Oholei came to be, and tho you can tell that it's a well rehearsed story and he is an incredibly religious man (as most Tongans are), his tale was still touching. The traditional performances afterwards were also amazing and took place in a large, beach side cave. Having learned some Tongan dance choreography myself (for a wedding), can safely say these girls were next levellll. The fire dancers were the highlight.

The most beautiful and biggest beach in Tongatapu Is. You can watch whales swim by or the beautiful sunrise every morning. They have traditional buffet food and show on every Wed & Fri night with buffet lunch on Sunday. This is so authentic that u feel you are in paradise. Not much crowded except on buffet show night. Everything is made from local materials. Even the plate is made from banana skin. The owner Simana Kami is a funny entertainer, director, singer and guitar player. You will laugh. You will leave with full belly and a big smile. Their kids are the famous Kami Kids Band in Australia. A must visit place or to stay. Feb 2019 - Went back there with my family for their Sunday Buffet Lunch. We were treated with soothing gospel songs by the owner Simani Kami & his family band. It was heavenly. Kids played in the sand. Food always plentiful & delicious as always. We left with full belly and blessed soul. Can't wait to go back.

Great location to visit on our day on the island. Traditional Umu, loved the family history told of the site, the history and legends of the caves.

I enjoyed the service but it wasnā€™t really what I expected. Good could be so much better. Venue is rundown. They definitely need to update their photos.

I wanted to stay here for 1 week during my vacation in Tonga. I wrote an email to them, unfortunately without answer. In believe that one email could be overlooked sometimes, I wrote second email. Also without the answer. I think the communication with quests is very important even if you have no availability. For me reason to get 1*.
