I stayed 5 nights with my children. I don't know why others left worse marks. The hotel is well located. The room was big, clean and even though it was facing the main street, I didn't hear any traffic noise at all. I believe that the breakfast is quite well set up for all tastes and whims. And the employees were very collaborative, no matter what requests we had. Only with the offer at dinner I can say that it could be improved, but there are enough restaurants in the area where you can choose from.

I recently had the unfortunate experience of staying at a hotel that turned out to be a complete disappointment. From the moment I arrived, it was clear that this place was not up to standard in terms of noise control and customer service. Firstly, the level of noise at this hotel was unbearable. Throughout my entire stay, I was constantly disturbed by loud, obnoxious neighbors and non-stop commotion in the hallways. It seemed like there were no efforts made to enforce quiet hours or ensure that guests were respectful of each other's need for peace and quiet. Trying to get a good night's sleep was almost impossible in this chaotic environment. Moreover, the lackluster customer service made matters even worse. The staff members at the front desk were unprofessional and indifferent to the concerns raised by guests. Whenever I approached them with complaints about the noise or requested a room change, they shrugged off the issue with little to no empathy. It felt as if they simply did not care about providing a comfortable and enjoyable experience for their guests. Additionally, the overall cleanliness of the hotel left much to be desired. The common areas were often unkempt and littered with trash, giving off a sense of neglect. It was evident that cleanliness was not a priority for the management, which is highly

Hotel room air conditioners are not working for the past 2 weeks and won't be repaired until 2 months as confirmed by the hotel staff. But the hotel didnot inform this to the guests checking in. To each guest , the so called boss there is saying it tripped off just today, flat lies. Every guest there was so upset but had to forcefully stay there as they refuse to refund or even accept their apology for the inconvenience. Nothing called housekeeping available, for smallest of things they ask guests to come down to take , how stupid is that. Even to keep luggage at concierge, they say if gets stolen, not our responsibility. What kind of a hotel is this? They made our stay in Paris absolutely awful and will never ever recommend this hotel to anyone. Total waste of money and time. If there was a minus rating , i would give that.

Novotel consistently provides a top-notch hotel experience, and my stay was no exception. The service was impeccable, with a friendly and attentive staff that went above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The rooms were well-appointed and clean, reflecting a commitment to high standards. The hotel's amenities, from to the dining options, added to the overall positive experience. Novotel's dedication to quality and guest satisfaction makes it a reliable choice for a memorable and enjoyable stay. even though it didnt have a fitness center ....

The room itself was nice although the air on was apparently being fixed so the rooms were boiling. We had to get the key fixed a couple of times. We had been out to grab some breakfast & came back to have a coffee in the hotel cafe, they didn't charge us for the coffee until we checked out & charged us 72€ for THREE coffee's which we questioned and they said that it was for 4 breakfasts although we didn't have any food from there. Wouldn't stay here again, they aren't very clear with anything. We also rang reception as our TV wouldn't turn on, they said they would be up shortly but nobody turned up.

Overall, not my best hotel experience; however, the staff are very nice and accommodating. There is a restaurant that offers breakfast, dinner, snacks, and drinks throughout the day. The hotel is about 10 minutes from the tram and metro, so you’ll be able to get into the city to see the main sites pretty easily. The hotel is about 20-30 minutes way by metro from many things, so don’t expect to do much nearby outside of eating dinner or grabbing breakfast on the go. They are in the midst of a remodel, so the rooms quality will vary, based on whether you get an old or new room. Our first room was an old one that showed its age and had mold in the shower. We requested to be moved, and the staff were very helpful in moving us to a newly remodeled room. This new room was spacious, cozy, bright, and comfortable. The room is very basic but does include the important things like usb charging ports, tv, and air con.

The staff was excellent and our room was nice and settling for my family. The beds were nice and comfortable to sleep on and the hotel is close to the metro and has some excellent restaurants nearby.

Its one of the worst place you can be! Rooms are poor(the wallpaper is getting off from the wall), With chipped furniture, Staff very ignorant. On top of this, they place damaged furniture in the playing area, next to a table tennis so someone to touching and break it and they would change €** for it. Happened to me! Ruined my last 2 days of holiday. Avoid this poor service hotel!

I will highly not recommend this place if u need to stay somewhere in France. The room service is terrible. We are a 4 person family and there’s only a double bed. Also have asthma so it’s hard to breath there’s no handle on the window. The entrance is very calm and relaxing as soon it’s in term of service.

Hotel staff were great and very helpful. Our flight got cancelled and staff were very happy to help with printing off new boarding passes, helping us with transport and ways to get around. Alway had a smile and very welcoming. Room was clean and comfortable. Thank you very much to all staff.

Easy to get to, very close by to the metro stations. The morning staff seemed abit off, fairly rude and condescending but there was an older gentleman working the night shift that was lovely, he should be the guy in charge!! Helped us a lot and sorted us out a few things when needed. Room was great, lovely shower and furniture overall I’d agree with the 4 out of 5 stars it has. Would recommend 👍🏻

Awful experience, especially considering the Novotel brand and the 4 star rating. •Air conditioning wasn’t working, after reading some reviews it seems this has been the case for several months, however, no mention of it when booking. As a solution (notice they didn’t even apologise for this, just mentioned it as a passing comment) the hotel gave us a very dusty fan (picture 5) and a tool to open the window. This forced us to have the window that faces the busiest and noisiest street in Paris (picture 3) most of the time. Also, the sun sets in that direction so the room was boiling every evening. •Bathroom was in a disgusting state when we arrived, bathtub had stains and hairs in it, mirror was stained and the shower ventilation was full of mould (picture 1). •Cleaning staff decided to ignore a blood stain in our duvet sheets (picture 4) and just turned it around, probably hoping we wouldn’t notice. In general the cleanliness of the room was very poor. Also, cleaning staff decide to not show up one of the 4 days and they wouldn’t change the towels, just add more sometimes ( pretty sure we finished the stay with 7 towels) •Amenities in general are old and unpractical, the bedside lamps didn’t work and were hanging on for dear life (Picture 2), there’s only one plug socket by the bed but one on the floor by the door (?), very inconvenient especially when you need the plug by the bed for the fan. The safe didn’t work as well which is concerning when some reviews state that they got stuff robbed from them. •Booked a double room, wanting a double bed, except got two single beds put together (picture 6) if you don’t have double beds why even offer double room options ? The pillows were terrible as well, they had some weird split in the middle (picture 8) that was so uncomfortable but impossible to evade. •The room itself was quite spacious but very hospital looking (last picture) Only positive points I could find was the breakfast, the fact that we could check in 2 hours early and that we could hold the luggage for an hour after check out. However, this is all stuff that is expected from a 4 star hotel. The area it’s in is also not the best but it is close (10 minute walk) to the metro station. Very disappointed overall and wouldn’t recommend.

There were a series of problems that are worth signaling and warning others about who might want to spend the night here. The location: I read that this hotel was in a sketchy neighborhood. I didn’t think much of it because I don’t mind staying in places that aren’t very nice. However, it really did look like a place where you could get mugged at night. There was someone parked near the hotel, who was clearly high and living in their car. Definitely not a serene environment for bringing kids, as we did, to spend the night. The room: we had asked for a baby bed to be ready in the room. When we arrived at the front desk, the staff member assured us that this had been done. Upon arriving upstairs in our room, we saw that it had not been done. We called and after a while they brought a baby bed. It was late at night and our girls were exhausted, but if this were the only issue we would not have made a fuss. However, the room we entered, was heated at perhaps 35°. My wife is pregnant and I have two children under three years old. All were very uncomfortable and complaining of the excessive heat. We paid over €100 for this room, but we felt like we were going to be sleeping in a sauna. We called the front desk and insisted that they do something about this. A staff member came upstairs and assured us that nothing could be done. We had a very difficult night of sleep that was frequently interrupted by needing to get something to drink and sweating through our covers. The next day we asked if they could give us a break on the price since we had had the worst night at a hotel of our lives, and this because of an issue on their end. The owner told us (through the front desk secretary) that we should have asked the night before for a new room. He/she then refused all compensation, except for a couple of water bottles. This was completely unacceptable since we had signaled the issue the night before and were told there was no solution. We insisted on this the front desk simply insisted that nothing could be done since we had paid in advance. Clearly, this hotel is run by a thief who cares nothing about his customers, and simply wishes to extract the highest amount of money possible from them. Don’t stay here guys, seriously. It’s like playing Russian roulette. Maybe maybe you will get lucky, but knowing that you can have an experience like ours should scare you away from taking a chance. Hotels, like this need to be put out of business. I will be issuing a complaint and seeking reimbursement by other means, but I am posting reviews everywhere I can in order to warn people away from this hotel, so you don’t have a similarly expensive and horrible experience like we had. The one star hotels nearby are a better bet to be honest. Perhaps a few more one star reviews like this will send a message to the owner that he needs to stop abusing his/her clients if he/she wishes to stay in business. I see there are already a number of us on here who share the same opinion. Update: I have just read through the other one star reviews and realized that the high heat in the room is a known issue that they have refused to deal with. They are simply putting people in these rooms with excruciating heat and taking their money from them rather than fixing the problem and making these rooms unavailable. This hotel is run by crooks. If you doubt what I’m saying, go read the other one star reviews! A lot of people have been cheated out of their money and had the same issue as we had. Don’t be one of them.

Novotel Italie's appearance is appealing, but the overall experience fell short. The bathroom quality was poor, impacting the stay. However, the staff on the second day was notably helpful, easing the stress. The hotel seems newly built but suffers from subpar design choices, possibly due to cost-cutting measures. The room provides a water heater for beverages but only offers two paper cups—no standard drinking water provided. This setup is unprecedented in my extensive global hotel stays, causing inconvenience and dissatisfaction. The lack of basic amenities detracts from the otherwise new-looking establishment.

The room shown below in my photos for 3 people. Queen bed is firm, very comfortable and the single sofa bed is medium to soft. Overall the experience was okay/good. I have requested lotion, slippers and cotton pads which were not available as I was advised that you get what has already been given in the rooms - so bring your own stuff and not expect Novotel d Italie to provide these. Overall, the quality of the hotel decor, room size, customer service meets minimum requirement of a 3 star hotel. I wouldn’t say they go above and beyond this. I spend very little time at the hotel as only there for sleeping, so my experience was great!

I highly do not recommend this place. i’ve been here with my family for over a week and every morning we constantly get waken up by construction workers working above our room. drilling , using hammers, etc. and the prices are insane! 4 drinks from the hotel cafe was 25 euros? better yet the workers are absolutely rude, the hotel cleaners do absolutely nothing either. Oh and the ac doesn’t work, pretty sure they accommodate the heating & cooling theirselves. it was horrific, it felt like a sauna. the location is also the worst. it’s like the bronx but in Paris. Not safe at all, got followed multiple times when walking to and back from the hotel. if u have kids, don’t ever bring them here. if there was an option to give this a 0 star, i would’ve chose that. DO NOT come here. not worth it.

There was multiple visible stains on the bathtub. The A/C wasn’t working (apparently it has been down for 2 months now and a clear recurring problem for years now, seeing past reviews here). This made our stay super unpleasant considering it was summer and warm. Furthermore, my room was facing the highway/road which was incredibly noisy and dusty, making it hard to get a good night’s rest. The layout of the W/C was stupid as there was no wash basin. You had to walk one round to the bathroom to wash your hands. Also, there is no hair dryer or floor slippers provided. I’ve previously stayed in NOVOTEL group hotels and it was never an issue. However, this particular hotel unfortunately needs some serious attention, and should definitely be stripped off its 4-stars until they get their act together.

Newly renovated rooms in the 8th floor (Queen Superior + Sofa). A little bit far from everythin. If you want to have a larger family room without breaking your budget, at walking distance to Chinatown, this is the good hotel!

I complained because there were construction works going on during my stay, and they informed me that there was a notice on the website. It was truly surreal, something I had never seen before. Additionally, the hotel is old and doesn't seem like a 4-star property, situated right in front of a highway... a disaster.

Really not the standard of an Accor Novotel. Rooms are giant but old with cigarette smoke smell impregnated in it. The Hotel is currently being renovated, then a lot of noise starting at 9:00AM. Lots of places not really clean. Very disappointed with it.

5 star cause they have a free all you can play arcade machine in the lobby! They also have a ping pong table and some games for kids. The location is near a train which is like a 7 minute walk. All in all great hotel for the value!

Let me begin by saying that this hotel does no service to the novotel brand. 1. They need to take their housekeeping more seriously. The rooms in themselves are decent, like most novotels, but in this particular one they need to focus on cleanliness of carpets, sheets, etc. The problem seems to be supervision rather than regularity because the house keeping staff visits daily and keeps repeating their half-hearted, shoddy job 2. The glass door at the gate itself is half shattered and held together by a brown tape! It's almost funny. 3. The staff was a mixed bag, some were very helpful and hospitable, some were quite rude, it's the management's responsibility to make sure that all of their staff is cordial, and they need to work a bit here. 4. Breakfast buffet is decent and has a good variety 5. The location in itself is also a bit of a bummer. If you are a tourist then for similar price or a tad more, one can find good properties near popular attractions of the city. It will save time and provide a better neighbourhood experience. Though theoretically this hotel is in zone one of Paris, it is still a 30-45 minute ride away from the parts of Paris that we all love. Personally this was one of the biggest dampener for us.

Terribly Overpriced budget hotel. Only good things about this place were the friendly staff, decent breakfast and proximity to the metro. Rooms were very old and dated. Carpet had stains, only one mirror in the bathroom for a quadruple room. Air conditioning not working and had an unbearable hot first night. Subsequently complained and was given a key to open the window. Hotel restaurant closed weekends. Overall disappointing experience given the decent quality of budget hotels in the UK.

Stayed for three nights. AC was not at all working though it was promised during booking. When enquired they simply said the central air conditioning system is under repair. Gave a single fan for a double bed room as compensation for AC not working. Do enquire about AC and stuffs before booking. They will still take the entire cost, though you get fooled, after being promised Air Conditioned rooms.

  • 3/5 Raphael G. 1 year ago on Google
The Air conditioning was broken and we had to sleep with noisy fans Also I interacted with three different people at the reception: The first person didn’t put my family and I on the same floor and said sorry he couldn’t do otherwise One was very helpful and couldn’t understand why her colleague didn’t put us on the same floor so she moved us to a room on the same floor. She was really lovely And the last one at checkout literally said the following words while I was handing the keys back : “ Hello , it’s all good for me” No “thank you”, no “good bye” no “have a nice day”… I think they could do way better than that.

Don't forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙoʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏm when booking any stay. This website will compare thousands of booking web sites and typically will have rates much cheaper than others! Thank me later on! This hotel is the best rated in this area. I've been coming here for a long time. If you stay for a few nights you for sure won't be disappointed. It was our 4th stay, as the area has easy access to the centre of Paris. The staff as always were kind, friendly and helpful (we had a bad experience on the Metro, and they were particularly helpful with this).

location is convenient ,friendly staff, room is big and its cleanliness is acceptable with good Wi-Fi reliability. The major issues to mention are the heating which was not functioning and the disruptive noise from the water filtration system, impacting sleep quality.
